Wise man once said "the most dangerous place is the safest place". Try ponzi if you are brave and smart enough. Ponzi is a great way to double your money if you know the potential of a program, when to join in and when not to, look at the site's design or look for some reviews. Most important is never invest all in one program. Be careful and turning 2BTC into 4BTC is quite easy in my opinion. Another idea is betting I think. Under any circumstances, I don't recommend doing any of this except you know what you are getting into!
You can ask the same question with $2000/4000. Now here is the ugly truth, you can invest that very safely and get a small return, eventually you'll double it. The problem is that Bitcoin is the wild west, there are so many scams that you never know, even exchanges are under fire every now and then. Only a handful of companies and sites can be considerable safe. So my advice would be to invest fiat money instead, you'll have more options and then exchange that to Bitcoin. You can maybe split the 2 BTC into fiat and BTC, and try your luck though, so there's no risk of losing it all.
To make long story short, there is no way to turn 2 BTC into 4 BTC without risk to loose everything. So, the best way doesn't exist.

Just like in life, hard work will get you to 4 btc, unless you win in gambling.. and be lucky.
There is no magic way to double your bitcoins. You can double them gambling, investing, lending.... But if you want to double in few time you will need to assume high risk and there is more possibilities to go from 2 Btc to loose them than to double.
The doubling speed is directly proportional to the risk involved. You can gamble at 49% odds and double it in a second with a 51% risk, or buy cloud mining from a good company and earn 36% (roughly) a year, with less risk but still a very real risk of losing all... etc.

There is really no safe way of doubling your bitcoin. If you want a dangerous way, gamble or use ponzis. Another way to do it is to get a job and use that money to buy bitcoin, you won't double your bitcoin straight away but you will slowly get there.

If there was any risk-free way to double your money, it wouldn't apply only to bitcoin. The best way to acquire more bitcoin is to work for it and purchase it. Doing anything else is just gambling.
the only risk free, would be double spending, with bitcoin, and it happened in the past maybe not on purpose, but it happened, because of flaw or other thing

I'm not recommend all of my friends to double their BTC instantly.
Gambling on sportbook or any of gambling game it is just for hobby or for fun.
Learn and work hard to earn your weekly/monthlt income to make living. BTC is your money too. It's not a game point.!

trading > risk is high you can lose in 1 minute when you are wrong strategy

Scammers always say a nice word or a nice things to trap their prey.
If they can duplicate easily their money, they would not share it with all people. That's the logic thing.
Even when we take a loan from BANK. 30% interest per year is too heavy and too much.
And ponzi scheme just offer you to duplicate 100% your money to 200% in 1 months.
Please do not play in ponzi scheme even with 1,000 satoshies.

go for a dice instead if you want to gamble, you'll have 49% odd and you can do it from home at any time of day
and you won't have to sell your BTC because casinos don't accept BTC
