I mostly bet on matches that haven't started yet, but sometimes I bet on live games as well. In general, I bet on matches that have not yet started when I think I have made a good prediction based on statistics and performance data from the last weeks. If I am watching a match live and the match is played with a defensive tactic for both teams, I bet on the total number of goals in that match. I use both methods, but I usually prefer to rely on my pre-match analysis. Live bets sometimes give more dangerous results for me.
I think this depends entirely on your preferences, I do not like live bets because when it comes to the bets I can make before the games starts I can take as much time as I want in order to take a decision and see if I am picking the right team for the right odds, however lives bets are very chaotic in the sense I do not have the time to think too much about them, and I need to take a quick decision without being completely sure if the decision I am taking is the right one.
At times my mind picks an odd and there'll be little hesitation in placing bets. Most of the time this scenario happens with teams that are equally strong. In such situation I prefer to go with live betting and used to pick the same team when the odds have increased. This have brought me good win as well as losses. Apart from this during the last moment of the matches used to place bets and this is mostly on close cricket matches.

It depends on the strategy, but it seems to me that live betting can give us some kind of advantage. We can see how the game develops, which team dominates and so on. But if the strategy involves increasing the odds on the total in the match, then we just need to wait and choose matches that are suitable for our strategy. Pre-match betting is also good when you can't watch the match, but mostly I like to watch the event I'm betting on.

I'm sure we will all agree that the facts all depend on the situation at that time. both live matches, and during matches that have not yet started. which in the end, it all depends on our situation and conditions. when we are having doubts about determining the bet, we can wait when the match has started. we can analyze it directly, both teams that are dominant in ball possession, teams that play more technically and all kinds of things. sometimes even, our betting options change according to the team that has a higher chance of winning. it's just that the problem is, the available odds will definitely change according to the course of the match.

But most gamblers, usually bet when the game has not started. because, we tend to analyze first to determine our bets. the difference is, when we have bet on a match that has not started yet. when it's time for the match to be held, we will automatically hope to win the team we have chosen as the previous bet. This is where we cannot be neutral. and it is different from live betting.  but in essence, the points are the same. whatever the stakes, the bottom line is we want to win.

I had placed a live bet on a cricket match once where the favorite team was leading, if the opponent would have been leading, I could be more nervous, but since the favorite was leading, I was confident and thought it will be an easy win, but the opposite happened and the weaker side went ahead and won the match.

That's also a good reason to bet while the game is live already. It's the kind of certainty that a gambler would look for. In crickets however the longer the game will last the more it looks like something will flip.

Just like the Tennis game, where the game will take hours and hours. My goal is to keep betting even on the games I am no fan but just seeing the leading team base on the score as its live, I can bet and win.

Odds swing real time, and if the team you bet on is winning by a huge margin, I don't think it's wise to put anything on them at all. Just imagine how low the odds would be. But if it's a back and forth between the teams, chances are the odds are still doable for a bet, and that is something that we want to bet on. Just do not think that if someone is leading in a game, they would be the winners already. Some teams lose steam as the game progresses.

When it's leading by score and it's the bookie's favorite, it has the highest possibility to win the game. But like you said the odds will not make you much money, the assurance to win I think is what makes me bet. If it's 1.20 I still think it's worth it.

In some sports, a fan knows who these boxers are and who may be knocked out in the early rounds. A fan can see which match will last up to 12 rounds so he also can bet in the middle of the fight. This can apply to UFC main event which has 5 rounds.

You’re correct with this analysis. I’m always betting live so that I can wait for the favorite team to become behind points against weak team to have a great odds instead of betting it on prematch. There’s always a part of the game which the favorite team is behind or tie against weak team before they recover and finish the game strong.

Mostly I do this on basketball that involves team like Nuggets, Boston and other heavy favorites. Betting on live will give you a better analysis on the actual condition of the team.

Bet on live is also my choice, you can see right away whose side can dominate the whole game and it is better than to bet before the game started. Some people bet before the game, but i think if betting while the game is on going is the best choice , it is more safe since you can see what strategy does the two teams are having and which one will win the game.

Sometimes I do prefer to bet on live matches because I could get better odds payout rate when a favorite team falls behind 1 goal against their opponent in a soccer match, even though the favorite team might need to score more goals in order to win the match but the live betting odds payout rate will become higher than the initial odds payout rate before the match starts.
That's a different way to see it and I'm pretty sure that it doesn't happen very often when a favorite stays behind at the beginning and then recovers back and wins the match if that happens, that's a great win for those who've chosen the favorite when betting live, but it's even better odds for those who might have chosen the opponent and they managed to win the game, I say that because it happens sometimes in any kind of sport, the favorite loses.

The main problem with live betting is that if you place a bet before an event starts you cannot adjust your bet to the changing odds. This is a major problem because sports betting odds often change with the state of a match. If emotions get out of hand and place a bet a few days before the game, you risk your bet because there could be a change in the team or an injury could have a negative effect on the team you have chosen as your favorite team.
We gamble with high stakes since it is the only way we may generate enormous returns from the system. For me, the English Premier League is my favorite league to bet on; I've already chosen a number of teams whose performance I'm acquainted with, both mediocre and outstanding clubs. Manchester City remains first on my ranking of elite clubs, followed by Liverpool and Chelsea, and then Brentford, Newcastle, and Aston Villa for common clubs. Making precise predictions and strategizing on these clubs will always result in enormous earnings. To me, a live bet means smaller money; I prefer betting before the game since it keeps the odds high and the profits big.
The lower odds are one of the biggest reasons why most people avoid live betting even if it provides them with the advantage of seeing the performances of both teams and all the players before taking a final decision, people prefer choosing a side before the match starts so that they can get returns for the full odds which won't be the case once the match is underway, but some people still do it because it slightly reduces the risk when you bet when the match has already started.

I'm not a very big fan of betting live myself because I believe if I'm destined to lose, I will lose even if I evaluate the teams and then choose my side because it has happened to me in the past where the most favorite team lost against a mediocre team which was totally unexpected.

If it's a live sport, and if there's a possibility to start changing the bets, I think that's going to cause me a lot of anxiety, that's why I'm not good at this type of bet, because one thing is that I bet before the game starts, after it starts, if my team loses, I accept it and I don't suffer anything, but if I'm live and I want to bet on a team, I do it, I change my bet, I get stressed because now I think the team I changed is going to lose, and if there's a chance to change the bet, so I do it, it's not the right thing, but maybe it's because of my nerves or who knows what, but I'm not good at that, maybe there are people who are good at it, but I really admire it.

I think this type of practice is very risky for me as a bettor, because it is not my style to change my decisions, I think it would cause a very insecure personality, of course it does not hurt to be able to risk making a type of bet like that, but I think I would not change my betting decision, I would rather lose than change the bets.

There are bettors who want this type of bet because they portray their decisions a lot, personally they have different personalities and they believe that changing the decisions of a bet is having a double chance, I don't see it as a bad thing, in terms of statistics it is like that, but I like traditional bets, in the forum many people who like this type of bet must be made, and the truth is I admire them.

So I tried to do live betting again today in the DOTA 2 Bali Major. I was waiting on my preferred team to somehow fell behind when the odds are high enough for them but once again it isn't very pleasant catching those ever-changing odds. Sometimes I am simply forced to just take a bet even if with undesired odds or lose the opportunity to bet on a specific game. Later on, I just went on to bet pre-game because I felt like I was not focused on the game anymore which I am supposed to enjoy especially because it is the finals already.

So as always, live betting can be profitable but it also annoys you at times. And it also takes away your focus on the game but maybe some of you will have the same level of fun even if you missed some seconds of the game.
Live bets are similar to trading in the sense that you are waiting for the perfect moment to enter the market, the problem with this strategy is that you could wait for hours and not a single opportunity may materialize, however doing this while you gamble has the added problem that you are now not enjoying the sport or esport you wanted to watch, and this can be a very unsatisfying experience as the main reason we watch those competitions is to obtain some entertainment out of them and now you are failing on this task.

That scenario favors the gambler, but I don't think it will impact the odds in a significant way. I also tend to agree that betting during a game can be a good option to get better odds and be profitable, but sportsbooks sometimes don't always adjust the odds in their favour.

I prefer to bet on the favorite team regardless if the odds are very favorable or maybe it's only worth calling it an entertainment bet. Yes of course it is because the odds are not that great for such a high value bet, although I would consider it a low risk bet.

What you said is right as the odds don't really change beyond what they were in a handicap bet for the favorite team. If we say that PSG falls behind an underdog team in a home game early on, the odds would be about the same as if you place a bet on a handicap with PSG being down one goal.

I think the real advantage is if people have a lot of experience and they quickly notice that this is not the day of the favorite because they play worse, ball control is not the same, motivation is somehow down and other things. That is something you can analyze during a game and then draw some conclusions for potential bets.

As long as we can predict well and find a team with more potential to win than the opposing team, we can place bets before the match. But if not, we can place bets while the match progresses. Everything has advantages and disadvantages for gamblers, so they must know when to place their bets. And gamblers who are used to analyzing many matches will know what they will do and will not force themselves to keep placing bets if they are in doubt. But they can still place bets just for fun rather than considering the result.
The area of your expertise should let you pick which one is the best for you, if you are more comfortable taking your time to do an analysis of which team can come up on top during their next math then making a bet before the match takes place makes more sense, however if you are quick on your feet and you can find some good odds in a split of a second then making live bets could be a better option for you, as the odds given for those bets by the casinos are not as accurate.

Stats save time, attention, and data. A worthy approach. How accurate and reliable are these statistics? Isn't "sampling bias" a risk here? Academia recognises that data may not accurately depict the situation. Do match statistics account for unanticipated events like weather changes, injuries, and disputed referee decisions? These elements can greatly impact matches

You mentioned last-minute, heart-stopping incidents. Last-minute goals or extra-time miracles? Don't they disregard all statistics? Statistics are useful, but unpredictable variables limit their applicability
I am only talking about how I am gambling with live matches. Assuming I take 5 live matches a day (but some people gamble on more than 5 matches), do you think these people or I will watch all the match. They can not watch all the matches. The have to depend on the matches statistics which is easily to know what could be the outcome if a match.

But I still finally said that a match can change at anytime. I do not even like to watch the live match that I have staked on because it makes someone's mind to remain unrest until the match has finished. People that are gambling with live matches will understand this mind unrest that I am talking about.
