I prefer to bet before the game hasn't started yet because I will have a lot time to think and analysis which one will win than just bet on live game where you're need to beat your emotion and adrenaline at that moment. Bet before the game hasn't started will give you more confidence about your decision and you will not regret if you're bet on wrong team or fighter. But bet on live game you has a high chance to bet on wrong team or fighter and you might blame yourself for taking too quick decision.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
I always have this irrational feeling that if I bet on a game which is not live, it will be manipulated. But as I said, match fixing and stuff like that does not really exist at the high professional game level. There are too many eyes watching for that to happen without notice.

It has not been proven, although there are rumors. Personally, I believe that some games may be fixed in major leagues. However, since we cannot provide concrete evidence, it is best to consider it as part of the game and adjust our betting approach accordingly. While some people may complain about the possibility of game-fixing, I believe the focus should be on betting wisely and choosing the right side, regardless of any potential fixes.

Found myself losing when the money line changes from 1.75 to 4.35 as the game began. But sometimes when I also wait for the game to start, it changes to worse such from 1.75 to 1.10

But personally, I do bet on either case if its live or has not started yet. Other than the irrational feeling that I sometimes get, I feel no difference between the two.

I mean the game could start out wonderfully but end horribly and vice versa. So I do not see any point in choosing either one or the other. The probability of losing the bet is still high and judging the outcome based on a new event probably will not effect the outcome.

Based on my personal experience, I tend to lose more frequently when engaging in live betting compared to placing my money on pregame odds. Therefore, I would suggest considering pregame odds as I have tried both types of betting. I'm not implying that betting on pregame odds guarantees success for everyone, but it has worked better for me personally.

Found myself losing when the money line changes from 1.75 to 4.35 as the game began. But sometimes when I also wait for the game to start, it changes to worse such from 1.75 to 1.10

Well, I believe that it's normal because it attracts a lot of bettors that way. Just imagine, starting with pregame odds of 1.75, which indicates a team is the favorite, but during the live game, if they are significantly trailing, the odds can change to 4.35, which attracts many bettors. This fluctuation is already calculated by the bookmakers, and often, we tend to lose because we let our emotions influence our judgment.

Most times,I do bet on games that hasn't started yet because I might be busy and will not be able to watch it. The only thing I do is that I check the result and the game. Betting on live games is better off, since you can use the game to get the insight of the outcome of the match because as long as the game is on sometimes the odds will change, and this can be favourable for the bettor that has bet before the game. This was the trick I do use then but now I don't really have time to watch so I bet leave the game for my luck to shine. Gambling is based on luck and not when you place your bet. It is just that everybody has their own strategy, when gambling.

I prefer betting before the game cast its start. Maybe the odds might change before the game turns live but it is what it is. I will rely solely on the team I betting with. Also, when the game is already live, and then I put up a bet, I tend to confuse about which side I'm going to bet on because I am looking at the stats changing, unlike the pregame which I have a static analysis that is yet to move.

This depends on our respective decision and taste when it comes to gambling, some will definitely prefer and go for making predictions and select their games right before the match starts, they will also give a good attention to it to know wether there could be any changes at the course of the march concerning the odds should incase things turns out the way it shouldn't be but this is mostly affected by thise that bet after the start of the march and those that have already staked their bet before the march begins remain unaffected by any alterations to the odds given.

Things that are confusing when we bet on matches that have begun, it will give a messy cycology because the odds change especially one of the teams dominating the ODDS match will change and we have a little regret, why we don't bet when the game has not begun.
I myself prefer to bet before the game starts, especially with the favorite team that has almost the same number of odds.

Live betting can be so intense and at same time advantageous for the gambler as you have to make your decision on which side of the odds to bet for based on how the game is actually playing out Infront of you as you watch and you also needs to be very quick in deciding cause odds could change at any seconds.

I prefer to bet on live games when my staking power is high by reason of the odds size of the team that's leading in the game and it's when you have good amount to stake with that such small odds can give out a tangible profit. And live games if you really careful and patient to observe before placing a bet it is very hard to lose compared to betting when game hasn't started yet.
It is indeed a good method to make a direct bet, because we can see a little pattern of games that exist on the field, but as said before that if one of the teams has more dominance in the match, the probability of multiplier/odds will be reduced, but that Suitable for those of you who have a large number of bets 1.2 - 1.5 You can still get high profits.

It's common to bet before the actual game, as you analyze the team and usually tipsters do this as well.

But you can analyse only the past results of a team or a player. It is dangerous to make really early bets. Lets take football for example and some past games. Portugal plays against Liechtenstein. Bookies instantly choose Portugal as a favourite. Gamblers remember, that Portugal has strong players, such as Ronaldo, Pauleta, Figo, Costa, Gomes - star team. Liechtenstein a total underdog. Of course everyone think that this is going to be an easy win for Portugal and place bets. But when in few days team roster is announced, people find out that instead of Portugal starts, there are going to be second team squad, players from the bench, U17/U21 players and game ends with 0:0, even though Portugal dominated and controlled the ball. That is why I prefer to bet live.

...gambling responsibly. Do not be addicted.
The odds providers will be more accurate when the game is live, so you make a little bit less profit on the game... when you bet on the Live games. (Also, multi betting is almost impossible... with the odds changing all the time)  Roll Eyes
It depends.

Assuming club A has 1.2 odds and club be has 5.4 odds. If the match started and club A has not scored in 10 minutes, club A odd would have increased to like 1.3 odds. But if club A scored, the odd will reduce significantly. I can wait for 15 minutes, maybe the odd for club A would have increased more a little and I can bet on club A.

Also if you are betting on in-play, you will noticed some differences it has if comparing it to betting on matches that are just about to be played.

In-play are interesting but time consuming and addicting. Also it appears like people will not lose money, but people also lose money very well in in-play matches.

I think betting when the game is already up is another features in football gambling that some pundits like now because it provides an opportunity to be able to decide where the pendulum will swing to. By that, the bettor can access the options he is considering like how many corner kicks the second half could produce, throw-in etc
You are right and indeed it is better to bet when the match has started a few minutes or during the first half break because from there we can see the performance of the game to be able to predict the bets made, it's just that if you bet when the match has started we will get lower different odds if you place a bet at intervals before the match starts.
Seeing match statistics is very important to make more precise predictions.

I prefer to bet on games before they start, because the odds are less volatile. The odds fluctuate too much, when the game is Live and it makes the guessing game too chaotic. I like to do some research on the games, before the match and then make my bet, before it starts... that way I have a bit more control.

It's common to bet before the actual game, as you analyze the team and usually tipsters do this as well. Giving us tips way ahead of time, based on the numbers and statistics. and we have seen that this is the norm, specially Las Vegas putting their odds on any sports before the game.

However, there are games that you can watch live and then bet on them as the game progresses. Nothing is wrong with that as well, at least you know or you have the idea where the game might end. And most of the time, it's good to bet on such underdog in live betting.

I always bet before the game starts. In a local game where it's common for people to bet when the game is already underway, I don't do that either because the odds change. The house also adjusts depending on how the game is going. So, I place my initial bet, and if I see from the start that the person I am betting on is losing, I write the bet off and that's it.

Probably just your tough luck as it doesn't really affect the match or anything. Might even say that the world doesn't revolve around you so why should you concern yourself over when to bet when it doesn't make you any better of a gambler in the first place? Just bet whenever you feel like it and stick to it. It's more about your strategies that gives you these losses than the time you took your bet really. Perhaps study both teams first, only bet on a game you understand by heart, and then play your cards right, that way when the game starts and you make your bet you'd at least have the confidence of someone who did their homework you know.

Saying this cause I've had friends in the past find success in both types of betting. So it doesn't mean anything or is not indicative that betting earlier or later will give you better chances at winning.

I always go for pre-live if I can get them at good enough odds (around 1.7 - 1.9) and then live betting when I have a lot of time to spare and have a hunch that the favorites will stall the odds long enough for me to bet on. Live betting has more juice than pre-live and can easily swing one way or the other depending on the teams and sport you're betting on, so i'd always avoid them or bet smaller amounts unless there's a trend that the bookies haven't caught up to yet. From my experience, i've had more losses betting live than pre-live as I used to fall for these trap live odds most of the time.

Most of the time my choice of betting is when the match is live. This gives you with the best odds or it helps you choose the right winning odds with low profit. Also this lets me watch the game. Whenever I see my bet is to loss I find a way to bet on the opponent and minimise the loss or cash it out at the loss of some bet amount. At times when my bets were on the underdog and find a good profit I just cash it out than waiting for the end result.

Are there people who intentionally waits for a match to start before betting on them?

It is not intentional but a feature that is now introduce in betting depending on the company, they call it different name in the options, it is either in-game betting, in-play or something else but what I know and have heard bettors discuss on it is that the odds are reduced that it will not be encouraging to bet on.

Can you bet on a game once it starts?

I prefer to bet on a match even some days  ahead of the match because the games would always have some more better odds by then.

Yes it is the practice that when you bet games ahead of time, the odds is higher than when the game come closer, if the game approaches then the odd is reduced. This is because when the time approach, more publications and revelations would have been made about the team regarding the features, the players fitness, injury, bench and reserve against the strength of the opponent.

Normally I don't do live betting because it usually doesn't favor me because the moment I place a bet on a particular odd that tend to look favourable it usually just go sideways and this always prompt me to place more bet as if am constantly playing virtual soccer which is decided in a matter of seconds. But I have a friend who prefer betting on games that have already started and he goes for odd that he knows have already secured victory and then put a lot of cash into that particular game and the return is always smaller than the initial money he used in placing the bet.
