https://www.betcoin.ag/update-player-refunds-some-wpn-shared-tourneysUPDATE: Player Refunds For Some WPN Shared TourneysThe implementation of the WPN shared tourneys has been a tremendous benefit to BetcoinPoker.com our players and bitcoin poker as a whole. We have been very fortunate to be the fastest growing website in the WPN shared tournament network. In fact, to this end a new network will be announced shortly revolving around tournaments on the WPN soon.
As with any new feature, there have been a few problems, the most pressing issue being that some shared tourneys are not refunding if the tournament does not run. This issue is not unique to Betcoin, but is an issue every website that participates in shared tournaments through the WPN is experiencing. We, however are the fastest growing network in the shared tourneys and therefore have the most players entering the tournaments which inevitably will lead to the most complaints. Therefore, this is a WPN issue that is effecting all of its shared tourney partners. We are all aware of this and working very hard to correct it.
We have the best programmers from the WPN working on this issue. BetcoinPoker is not at all the cause of this issue and is helping in any way to fix the issue directly with the WPN. Collectively we plan on having this issue fixed in short time and we certainly will keep everybody posted.
In the interim, most of our players have requested refunds via email and most were given them promptly, however as is the case everyday, some players have taken advantage of this and now we must change the policy for most players, but not all. The WPN will provide a weekly breakdown of those tournaments that were not refunded with the player name and at that point the player's account will be credited.
It is very disappointing to see us blamed for the refund issue as this is a WPN problem affecting all of the shared tournament network members, however it is also a positive to see because our player base continues to grow. We speak with the WPN regularly and we look forward to helping them resolve this issue promptly. Also, look for a greater future relationship between the WPN and Betcoin overall as everyone can see the future of bitcoin in gaming.
Though this is not our fault, we apologize profusely for the inconvenience it has caused. Please understand that nobody is more inconvenienced more than us and nobody wants this fixed more than us. We will continue to work very hard with the WPN until it is fixed and keep you informed. As always we welcome any thoughts and suggestions anytime.
