EDIT: And insisting that Betcoin.ag is not a member of the WPN's player pool is beyond bizarre....LOL
They aren't tho. You've had this explained to you multiple times. They are allowed to contribute to WTN's player pool, but they are not guided by WPN or governed by WPN and when they fuck up on their end, WPN does not bail the players out.
If you'd like proof of those facts, just look at the fact that Betcoin operates in many jurisdictions where none of the actual WPN skins do. If Betcoin was actually a skin of WPN, then WPN would inform them, much like they've informed the actual skins, that they needed to pull out of those jurisdictions (as all of the skins have) because they are concerned about legal issues that may arise.
Anyway, once you are past this, my question to you would be why are you white-knighting a site that won't even defend itself against questions/comments that it has solicited?
Exactly. If he does not get this time. Then he is just posting to get paid for the signature campaign.
I'm not even talking about who bails who out, or who governs what....I concede that point. I am saying that Betcoin.ag is included in the WPN's player pool. This is how I know: When I play the WPN tournaments from ACR, Blackchip, True poker...etc, I see players from Betcoin.ag at my tables. And, when I play the WPN tournaments from Betcoin.ag, I can see the ACR, Blackchip, True Poker...etc players at my table too. So, either we're part of the same poker player pool or there is something seriously weird going on! Am I confused or does anybody else see players from other skins at their tables too?
What are you talking about? Yes, Betcoin players are able to play on the WTN, I've said that around a half dozen times now.
Oh, okay. I must have misinterpreted the first sentence in your reply above....sorry. I'm past that one then. To answer your question:
"Anyway, once you are past this, my question to you would be why are you white-knighting a site that won't even defend itself against questions/comments that it has solicited?" This is my position on Betcoin.ag poker. I truly believe in the site and I want to see it succeed. I've been playing online poker for many years. I have played on a majority of the branded sites that operate in fiat. On April 15 ("Black Friday"), 2011, our poker accounts were blocked, and it became hard to find a decent place to play poker online in the United States. When a site could be found that accepted US citizens, problems arose with banking. We found ways to deposit thru various processors which included techniques, such as, purchasing phone cards online and transferring those credits (LOL...remember that?). And, when it was possible to deposit onto an online site, many times it was more difficult to withdraw because of processor regulations, processing time frames, and withdrawal limits. One of the worst, Carbon Poker's withdrawal policy had a $1500 limit, allowed only one withdrawal at a time, and had an average six week processing speed! As a result of the problems associated with banking, the sites that accepted US citizens had problems maintaining a player pool large enough to provide the volume of play necessary for the player who played poker full time to maintain a meaningful profit margin. The volume just wasn't there anymore.
Anyway, the WPN was one of the networks that kept accepting players from the United States. Over the years, and more recently, the WPN's aggressive integration of several smaller sites and its aggressive promotional marketing strategy increased the size of the network's player pool substantially. Subsequently, there were still problems with banking which included an extensive documentation validation process which slowed down withdrawal times. During this period, the genesis of bitcoin began to take hold (one bitcoin was worth $1 in April of 2011) and only recently (little over a year or so ago), the CEO of the WPN recognized the opportunity and adopted bitcoin as a payment option on their platform. However, bitcoin didn't get adopted that well within that community so bitcoin represents only a small percentage of their revenue. Furthermore, there are technical issues associated with incorporating bitcoin into the fiat based platform because of bitcoin's volatility, constant price fluctuations, and arbitrage which is still being contemplated today. In fact, during the past week, some of America's Cardroom users have had their bitcoin withdrawal options suspended. (

Here's where Betcoin.ag enters the picture and what makes it special compared to the other gambling sites on this forum. By being a member of the Winning Tournament Network branch of the Winning Poker Network, Betcoin.ag has the unique opportunity to be a part of the WPN's tournament player pool while none of the other bitcoin gambling sites on this forum have that advantage. Being a part of a larger player pool benefits Betcoin.ag's players by providing a greater liquidity, it also benefits the Bitcoin community, in general, by increasing bitcoin's adoption rate. Betcoin.ag's platform is exclusively a crypocurrency based system, it doesn't accept fiat transactions, so it is allowed to operate in jurisdictions the other WPN skins are not allowed to enter which adds potential to increase the size of the pool within the network.
Now, considering what all the other bitcoin gambling sites on this forum have at stake, I understand why there's so much dissent with Betcoin.ag in this thread. In fact, if I had an investment in a bitcoin gambling site on this forum, I would feel threatened too. To be sure, whatever the WPN's business structure looks like, the truth of the matter is that when we play at Betcoin.ag, we are included within the WPN's poker tournament player pool which is a huge privilege and a fantastic advantage.
One cannot beat the value....look at the rakeback we're getting! Am I in the Twilight zone or something? Wow!
I don't dispute what you are saying. But the part that you are missing is that customer support lies. I have first hand knowledge of it. Do you trust a site that lies to you?
Why do you think that with all the good things they have, as I have said many times, they don't grow. They are not new anymore, have been around more than 2 years more or less.
Why do you think that they are stuck in neutral and basically have the same average number of players in the cash games as a year ago. When Seals went down they grow from being nothing, but they have not grown anymore since that time and that was in February 2015. They just don't know how to retain players. What good are all the promotions if they cannot retain players due to the way customer service conducts itself and pisses players off.
Yep...the twilight zone is correct. Should be much bigger site. They have many good things but don't grow and don't retain many players for stupid hard headed reasons in the way they operate regarding customer service communications.
Look at twichy/OHYEAH...the guy is playing 2 tournaments and some cash games at the same time. Yet they manage to piss him off so much that he becomes berserk and even posts on the pokerfraud site. He does not come across as a lunatic and appears to be truthful guy, yet he is enraged by the bullshit side of the site.
