We will also run special challenges with boosted prizes for big events like the football world cup at the end of the year. As this will take place over several weeks, there is no problem with players being available to place their bets during this challenge format.
Ok I see the point. It will be announced publicly and challenge events will last long enough for everyone to join and compete with each other in a same period, not at any single day.

When creating a challenge for a short period of time (e.g. limited to one day or one match [in live for instance]), it is advisable to make arrangements in advance to ensure that other participants are also available. The chat and the internal messaging system allow this... social networks...etc
It can be a fixed challenge event in weekend. Something like what we have in Premier League, that is called Super Sunday.

doge's fees are getting expensive now. anyway, they have LTC and USDT (TRC20), which has relatively economical fees. and they can always add another payment coin later on once they are gaining more players.
they can explore doing these challenge events, because it can indeed attract players. in time, they will learn which type of event can sustain the interest of players. as long as they are active here and answering vital questions, users will slowly trust the site.

Welcome to the forum, correct me if I’m wrong I see some post here that you are licensed site and checking on your website I see at the bottom that it is a Costa Rica license? I am not sure but does Costa Rica license is a real thing? Trying to search that before on google but most of the results are saying that there is no such thing as sports betting or casino licensed in Costa Rica.

Though I think it is better than nothing. Anyway is the site already operating I wanted to test it.

no FAQ and ToS posted on the website, etc... I hope that he will solve all those problems in a timely manner.

We don't have an FAQ, but a support centre with many articles here:
https://www.betfamous.com/en/support
However, we will probably add an FAQ if that helps.

For TOS, you have the Terms and Conditions here:

I am curious about cryptocurrency accepted on your site. Only proof of Work coins like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin or tokens from ERC20, BSC and some chains too?

It is not new but a biggest challenge is sometimes, your offer won't be taken by any opponent. So you will waste your waiting time. I suggest to have golden time for such challenging event too. 24/7 is good, but in some golden time of a week, in weekend ie. the site would host special challenging event or tournament for their users. So if I don't have enough time to be active each day, I can join in weekends.

If a challenge has a long enough duration (like the free and paid weekly challenges we automatically create), this is not a problem. There is no direct counterparty like on a betting exchange, where the number of players is crucial.

We will also run special challenges with boosted prizes for big events like the football world cup at the end of the year. As this will take place over several weeks, there is no problem with players being available to place their bets during this challenge format.

i believe the obstacle here is to have as many players as they can on the site. because without challengers, it would not be exciting to create your own challenge. i guess, this is one of the bottlenecks in a pvp betting site. if you can't attract players, the challenges would be dull and not interesting. maybe, the site has idea on how to attract these bettors and create their own challenges to make it a very interesting one.
It is disadvantage and challenge of a new platform. Acquiring enough new users and keep them staying in a platform, being actively enough is very difficult. The design of your site looks simple, neat but good enough. I am curious about cryptocurrency accepted on your site. Only proof of Work coins like Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin or tokens from ERC20, BSC and some chains too?

I've actually never heard of this concept. There is something special and challenging about coming up with a sports contest yourself. You rarely see that happen. I assume that everything is allowed as long as it is associated with sports, for example? And should users also take the odd jump into account? The odds can change daily or even hourly. That can be quite complex.

Yes, we are using an Ethereum testnet (unfortunately currently too expensive with the main Ethereum network). It seems to be reliable. If not, we will move to another blockchain.

We store the full string of the bet placed and do an MD5 hash (so we don't see the details of the bets as soon as the players are placed). But the hashing allows to prove that no data is modified. If a single character is changed, the MD5 will be completely different. It is possible to check manually with the online MD5 hash tools, if the string matches.

This way you can be sure that we do not participate in tournaments and change the results to our advantage before the bets are settled to win prizes in future public competitions.

As I mentioned before, I noticed that you stated "All bets will be recorded in the blockchain..." Could you please give us a little more information on this? Which blockchain will you use? Is there going to be some kind of verification process? Can we expect a special protocol for this?
It looks like they encrypt the bet details with md5 then store the hash on the Kovan (ethereum) testnet blockchain. Here are two betting proof examples from their website:
0x167f493190796c4a3675590d9a36e2495c76b818fb954b8e3befab8719a9c57e

I believe they chose the Kovan test network to save on fees but am not sure how reliable this chain is when it comes to storing data!
There are many other networks which allow storing data on their blockchains and have a fast confirmation time and low transaction fees. I would recommend using one of them instead of a testnet blockchain.

Thank you all very much for your feedback! It will help us to improve.

The platform has just been launched, and we still have a lot to do indeed.

We have prioritized the technical aspect for the moment (configurations, scalability, stability of the services used...etc), so that the platform is as stable as possible for a comfortable use.

The presentation, the addition of menus, the addition of a blog and the design will be improved as we go along.

Free access is important in order to create the largest possible community and large-scale competitions with prizes that we will offer (so you can win without having to deposit anything).

However, note that one of the interests of this system is that you can create your own private room. The number of active users in this type of game does not matter.
For example, Mr. X with the nickname ("Bob") creates a private room on the Nations League football matches. He invites his cousin Mr Z with nickname ("John"). He provides him with the PIN code to access the room.

This is anonymous, as publicly nobody knows who "Bob" and who "John" are in real life (apart from Mr X and Mr Y who know each other of course).
During the Nations League matches, Bob and John will be able to bet in-play and chat with each other in their private room chat.

Once the competition is over, they will be able to share the link publicly (social networks, etc...) to show the standings and who is the best bettor.

Kind regards,
Betfamous

To clarify how this works, here is an example with a paid contest.
The contest creator can choose the redistribution mode among these 3 possibilities:
Thanks for the explanation, now I understand how it's work.
5% commission is still make sense and it's interesting we can choose which redistribution mode as we want, the thing is you're really need a lot of players so any events will have each redistribution mode. If a new gamblers who want to join the event and he only like the specific redistribution, but currently your casino don't have since lack of players, he might not want to bet.

2.OP is doing the same mistake as many other gambling business owners-website isn't fully functional, announcement thread isn't good enough, no FAQ and ToS posted on the website, etc... I hope that he will solve all those problems in a timely manner.

I agree. It is better to make a fully functional website first and then the trek start advertising it. Gambling startups are faced with fierce competition and it's a no win situation to show potential users your site without it being fully ready. Many gambling startups launch their site before they have the infrastructure in place and fail to attract clients. It doesn't work like that, especially if you are operating in an online casino niche.

Anyway, betting contests seem like an interesting concept, but I don't think that many gamblers would agree to launch their own betting contest. Your website doesn't have enough traffic and a big community of active users. Most contests will end up without players(or maybe 2-3 players maximum).
Good luck with this project, OP.

Like you said, you have to have a solid strategy on how to generate more traffic and users, not only by posting the contest on gambling forums. You need to show that it's interesting for players to take part in your gambling contests and competitions, and at the same time attract more users for the site. This is where marketing techniques come in play. It's important to understand your target audience, what they will like to do in the gambling world, and what is the best way to appeal to them.

First of all welcome to the forum.
I really liked the concept that you are giving users the freedom to play for free.
Somethings, that I didn’t understand from the OP is that, you said it’s completely anonymous, also you are saying play with your friends?
If I will make a complete anonymous account, then how will my friend find me and play with me?
Moreover if it’s a PvP game, then the site doesn’t make money? Or does the site have a house edge info missing from the OP.
The site’s layout and design is acceptable but not great.
Also OP, if you want to attract potential gamblers to your site, then make sure you design the Announcement thread with proper information.
Good luck with your site.

1.The platform will charge a fee over all bets.

With Betfamous, you can create your own betting contests. Just set the terms of the contest, invite your friends, and let the games begin.
why do you use the Ethereum blockchain to prove the bet?. if deposited bitcoin will automatically be converted to ethererum?
your social media is zero followers and only a few activities were registered in February 2022 ago. so, you must work hard to make people join your site.
Op Registered domain 2019-03-05 Looks like he's getting ready to promote the site and making his marketing plan.
From my experience reviewing another new gambling site, a registered domain is not necessarily the getting already for that exact date, usually, they bought that domain or have modified form kind of site such as other marketing.

I noticed that you mention some blocked countries and territories in your Terms and Conditions. Could you please specify which countries are restricted?
You should publish this information on your website as well.
usually is not far from another gambling site, or follows the rules of the Icelandic country where this domain is registered.

Welcome to the forum I guess you can make share more information to your website in a creative way using the graphic designs which is the use of uploading images you are part of the gambling platform I guess this is part of your marketing too so it is ideal to get a copper member to introduce your platform well. Upon visiting it is a unique thing that the player can create a bet and I'm curious how you will gain more players, of course, this is a betting game and hosting a bet requires a number of players to make it more popular what current active users now?.

Welcome to bitcointalk betfamous!
I really liked the concept of your platform. It's unique and not sure if I encountered a similar one before.
However, it's a bit hard to grasp how everything works there. I think it will take me some time to figure out how to create a contest and how to join one.
I suggest adding a demo mode to give users the opportunity to test the platform for free and get used to it before they start playing with real money.
