Both poker and a sports betting exchange are things I will definitely add to the site at some point but due to the time of both to develop they may not be the best to focus on right now, what do you think?
Thanks
I think with poker you will have a very small part of the market share (due to SWC and WPN having such strong brands) and it won't really be worth your time. Hell, look at Nitro...they have a pretty large captive audience and a strong brand and they struggle to get anyone on the tables. Back in the day, the big selling point for PRC was the OFC games. If you recall, I also used to suggest to you that you fly out to Vegas during the WSOP to promote the platform to the big OFC fiat players. Now, SWC has kind of cornered the market on OFC play so not only have you lost a lot of long-time players, but you'd also have to offer very competitive rake AND a solid RB plan, basically mitigating all of your profits. Just doesn't seem profitable for you.
A sportsbook is a good idea, but the problem there is that you would have a lot of competition, and you would have a lot of overhead (odds provider), AND you take on all of the risk yourself.
With an exchange model, you wouldn't have any competition (Nitro ran theirs very briefly, I honestly don't know why), you'd have a market for it, you wouldn't need that much overhead (an odds provider wouldn't be necessarily as users can create their own lines), and you take on no risk.
Obviously the best ideas are ones that are wholly original, new takes on old ideas (like Moneypot...it's just a new spin on a dice-like game but it's unique, interactive and fun), or finding a way to 'port' an existing fiat model to the online or bitcoin world. But, those ideas are hard to come up with and, you know...not free.
