It's certainly a major plus for PRC - the sheer number of bets that you can push through in a minute is huge!

I was mainly betting at PrimeDice going back quite a few months to last October-ish time, and got annoyed by how slow their AutoBet is. It was so slow that I decided to write my own pure Java auto bet bot to make faster bets - the source code is posted in the forum somewhere. It might have been my connection, but I could still only get a response time of ~250 to 300 ms responses per bet.

I've just gone back and tried PrimeDice again just in case it's been improved, but doesn't look like it. The autobet on the webpage is still painfully slow, and for me bets are still running at anything from 180 to 300 ms delays. So it's improved a bit, but no where near PRC speeds for my own connection. Added to this, PRC's site goes even faster than autobet if you use the hot keys and simply hold the Hi / Lo betting key down.

Not sure how the latency for you is so low at about 60ms, but I certainly can't get near those figures, and I got a pretty decent internet connection (UK based, infinity fibre, with the street cabinet in view of window). For me personally, PRC is the fastest without any custom betting scripts etc.. And faster still with my own betting bots..

It is fair to say yes. Especially since I never said the fastest. You can see that your connection is using server sent events on Pocket Rockets Casino instead of web sockets. I'll check why that is.

Though the statement was nothing to do with connection speed but the betting speed throttles that other sites place, Prime Dice being one of them, and other new sites that barely load.

Most users on Pocket Rockets Casino can get around 20 bets per second on a normal connection with no lag and while no other players experience lag.

I just tried SSE too there to test and the round trip was around 100ms. So I seem to have a faster connection than yours. Even at 9-10 bets a second it is still faster than what some major competitors allow.

PD averages around 60ms, it seems to "warm up" to constant betting to and drops from 300-200ms to 60ms.

While PRC dice takes on average a 333 ms, triple that of the "instant" threshold.

Looking forward to news on the new lotteries/raffle. Think looking at the stats, although I only ever bought entries to 3 draws, I've made more on just those 3 draws than when I was dicing!

Lottery ticket giveaways would also be cool - especially instead of a RainBot... e.g. gives a ticket away every day provided a criteria is met beforehand etc.

The double rainbots are pretty impressive!  They seem to reward players and chatters and that's a nice balance.

For your celebration, congratulations by the way, anything you do can be exploited, so it's just what you want going on during that week.  Trivia is good for active human chatters.  Rainbot is fun, but can (frequently) be botted and you risk low quality chat spam or lots of low value bets (which is probably not an issue but does put some strain on the server).  The lottery is a clever idea, but as you pointed out, people could create multiple accounts to get around the one win per person.

Nice idea. Raffle should be probably fair. Something like this: sha hash of username + nonce (up to no tickets of this user) Then get some hash of a future block. Make decimals of all hashes, winner is the number closest to block hash. Publish block number and raffle ticket list in advance. IMO no sale of tickets and max number of free "rain" tickets (max announced in advance.)

I don't have much experience in lotteries/raffles, but I imagine it could go like this:

- you'd need a record/list of all the current players and their amounts wagered at the start of the week (to exclude this from promo)
- at the end of the week you'd need a similar record (including all the new players), then deduct the above
- now you have a list of all the players and amounts they wagered during the week
- for each player: divide amount wagered by 0.1 = number of tickets. Quick example:
   Pawel7777: wagered at the start of the week: 2.112, wagered at the end of the week 3.7798.
   3.7798 - 2.112 = 1.6678 / 0.1 = 16.678 - rounded down to 16 tickets

- now you have a complete list of eligible players + number of tickets each of them has earned. The total tickets number won't be known until the week ends.

- next step is to give each ticket its number and assign those to players. Example, let's assume there are only 3 participants:
  player 1 (earned 21 tickets)
  pawel7777 (earned 16)
  player3 (earned 8 )
There's no need to randomise it imo, so lets keep it simple:
  player1 gets tickets numbered 1-21
  pawel7777 - 22 - 37
  player3 - 38 - 45

At this stage, it would be a good idea to make it public for transparency (google doc or post in this thread) so everyone knows their tickets' numbers.

Next of course is the draw. You could use an external site for that (preferably one allowing excluding player who has already won) or even roll the dice on your site.

As for allowing players to buy tickets - if you do that, you'd probably need to allow players to win multiple times (I don't imagine anyone keen to buy if they can win only 1 prize).

If the whole purpose is to promote the site (reward existing players and attract new ones), you should do 1 player - 1 win limit.
If there are total of say 21 prizes (1 big and 20 small) then you have 21 happy winners, each of them with positive impression of PRC and each of them more likely to come back and play.
But then again, there's nothing to prevent anyone from creating multiple accounts and abuse the system, so maybe there's no point in such limit...


Also, the 0.1 wagered = 1 ticket was just an example. Maybe lowering it to 0.01 = 1 ticket could give a better results by attracting more people?
You can easily get 0.1 even with very small deposit, but some less experienced players are not aware of that and it could seem too high for them.

Also, make sure every game is included, not only dice, but if you want to limit the promo to dice only, make it clear from the start.

When we gave away the xbox, tablet and games there were clear winners of the prizes early on into the competition.

The only thing we'd need to work out is how the prizes are given. With a lottery there might be no winner so a raffle sounds better.
The same raffle system could be used to pull tickets for multiple prizes too.

0.1 wagered for a ticket sounds fair, allows anyone to join in.
I wonder if players should be allowed to buy tickets also for better chance?
We could even give some away in chat via rain bot throughout the week.

I remember playing OFC on PRC back in 2013, those were good times. 

As far as promos go, I think chat trivia is always pretty fun.  You could also do something where you double random winning rolls (not sure how that would be decided).

The last promo was pretty good, with physical items as rewards (+ equivalent in BTC option). But after few days many realised they don't have much chance to win anything, so the competition was limited to few players.

What about promo-lottery?:

- multiple rewards (preferably physical items). 1 main reward (higher value, i.e. tablet etc) and many (the more the better) lower value items.
- set period of promotion (say 1 week)
- every 0.1 wagered (any game) during the period = 1 lottery ticket (0.1 seems pretty low, but otherwise it could discourage small players)
- 1 player can win only once.

This way everyone will have a chance of winning and will have incentive to be active throughout the whole period, but still, the ones who wager more will have higher chance.

Fixed a couple of small issues.
The min bet shortcut button on dice wasn't working properly for small payouts.
The chat would be disabled if you enabled dice shortcuts, visited account page then came back.
Also added ฿ symbol to the balance, max payout etc on roulette so it's easier to read.
