When you were making your account there is a step when you are asked to choose USD or EUR. My choice was EUR. This will be PITA to solve. Couple of ideas but nothing that seems hassle free:
We could collect the money on two accounts - one for USD and one for EUR, and then do some shenanigans when the time comes to pay out the prices
We could make one currency as mandatory but that would mean all the people who have wrong currency have to do new accounts, probably against the rules at Betnomi but I guess old accounts can be deleted.
We pay the fees for all the tournaments in one BTC transaction.

I would be fine with paying the fee with BTC and someone is collecting. But I guess it will be too late now when we want to start on Sunday..

Quick question is there an option for people to switch between their displayed currency (USD/EUR). We are just trying to get everyone on the same page for being able to do buddy transfers in our Poker series that starts this weekend hopefully.
Side note anyone from the forum can join into this sponsored poker series come check it out.
Thanks again for sponsoring it @Betnomi.
Good question @Steamtyme. The buddy transfer is possible between users who have the same currencies. Ie, if a users is using USD as their currency, they can receive transfers from any other user using USD as their currency and same applies to all other currencies. As for changing/ switching between currencies, that is not possible at this time. The selected currency at the time of registration by the user remains their currency.

Steam asked about this matter in Betnomi offical thread and this is their answer! My selected currency is USD, I guess it goes like that automatic, I didn't choose anything in my registration, at least I don't remember I saw it! I don't know is it a stupid suggestion, but those extra fees and rewards can be in some alt with low transaction fee. There are many, for example I would be fine with ltc, trx, doge... maybe that would be nice!

Very interesting! My currency is EUR but I got never asked what kind of currency I want to choose. So I have no clue how to handle the buddy transfer..
Alts are not my favourite choice as I don´t want to handle those shitcoins

@Yahoo & Steam: We should find a solution in that case today if we really want to start on Sunday

I have sent in the tourney form, 6 max game since we have a low number of participants normally. 20000 starting stack 10 minute blinds $15 buyin

As I see it, pretty much everything is solved, except those transfers for extra fees. It's already Thursday, and I am not sure will we play this weekend or not! Anyway my deposit is confirmed and I wait for passwords and games to appear! I expect good poker with you people, as always! Smiley

Sounds good to me.
Ok so I will deposit in BTC, but the betnomi site shows EUR to me. How can I transfer 5$ as buddy transfer?
(Sorry for my incompetent questions, I really appreciate ur help)

If you click on your "Avatar" -> Select my profile -> My Wallet , You will see the buddy transfer available there. I'm just looking on my phone but can't find a way to toggle between USD and EUR. I though it was possible whn I was on the poker client but am not able to check. I'll ask in their main thread about that.

I have found where I can check to confirm buddy transfers, but have yet to do one myself. Looks like people just need my username - Steamtyme - to send the 5 USD to me. If you can't switch between EUR and USD, I guess to the conversion using Google or Preev and send it. I will keep track to see if you over/underpaid. Hopefully it's an easy switch that I just can't find from my phone.

btw who is that "Undetermined"?
Anyway, I will transfer in BTC. If I cannot convert in USD, I will send in EUR and will use the actual exchange rate. Hope that is fine for you all...
Undetermined is the term I put for everything not settled yet. Steamtyme has volunteered, if you guys are ok with that?

I see my balance in USD - funnily it still shows me EUR in the same spot but shaded. I'm not positive but I think people can switch between the 2 after the accounts created.
I thought it only displayed in USD and EUR - Either way I think it allows users to switch between the 2, Next time I log in I'll check it out.

I deposited with bitcoin and it only show me balance in USD, i can't switch to BTC or EUR.

If you view the site especially the poker tournament without login, the buy in will most be showing in Euro but if you login into your account then it will be showing in Usd instead.

but I believe we should simplify this as much as possible. Even some of the "old" users will have a tough time keeping an eye to all the rewards/fees etc. It must look quite complicated to possible new participants, especially with balances shown in fiat.

I personally would go for 10k stacks, 200 Bigs and 8 minutes blind level but I think we wont reach any consensus at all and we cant please everyone so Yahoo should be the one taking final decision on this.

I agree 100%.
@ Yahoo: You got some recommendations, but please finalise the conditions by your own. I guess most people are fine with the idea to make the tournaments a bit "larger".
For sure it´s about having fun, so the distribution of the buddy transfers are not really important. Keep things simple!
I´m happy to play with you guys on Sunday - can´t wait for it  Cool

so is it not the best when we all deposit in BTC for paying the entry fee + Buddy Transfer in BTC too?

You can deposit/withdraw in crypto, but Betnomi site is working only with USD & EUR. Our only choice is to choose one of them as official for our group and continue in that direction.

Agree, The prizes isnt an urgent matter because it will be given at The Grand Finale

The urgent matters before we start rolling would be :

1. Starting stack. We are down to 3 reasonable options. 5k, 10k or 20k stacks.

2. Blind minutes. Either 8 or 10 minutes.

3. Point system. I think we should keep the current point system, implementing a new one would be confusing. It is a good idea regarding the knockout points but perhaps we could have a KO tournament instead the future if there are alot of interest on this

4. Blind structures. 100 Bigs, 200 Bigs or 250 Bigs

I personally would go for 10k stacks, 200 Bigs and 8 minutes blind level but I think we wont reach any consensus at all and we cant please everyone so Yahoo should be the one taking final decision on this.

I am fine with everything above and personally don't care too much about few percents of awards, blinds and stacks. If somebody is willing to do the extra work to change awards fine, but I believe we should simplify this as much as possible. In the end only truly important factors for me are the time of tournament and that most of the "old" guys show on the tables Smiley
As I said multiple times already, this is more like hanging out with friends than making money for me.

Telegram link has been added, i'm also fine with you holding the money. The only issue is all players must be using same currencies as you. So in their profile they'll all have to be using BTC or USD, whatever you are using.

I stand with Ukraine.
~
Not sure if I can change this. This looks to be their standard payout on 9 players. If nothing else winners can transfer $$$ between each other if you guys are set on 50% 30% 20%

We can give more extra prizes to the 1st place.  Probably around 60-70% of the total extra fees collected

I agree, to adjust the prize structure to what we've been accustomed to, we can do the following.

Considering that the $1,000, kindly provided by Betnomi, will be allocated this way:

~
1st: 40.1% of Prize Pool
2nd: 39.9% of Prize Pool
3rd: 20% of Prize Pool

~

we can distribute the money collected during the qualifiers like this:

1st: 60%

2nd: 20%

3rd: 20%

By my estimation, the amount in question is going to be close to $600($5 x 15 x 8 ), so it will be additional $360, $120 and $120 to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.

Regarding the chip stacks and blind levels, I have no personal preferences, so I'm going to agree with the majority in the end.

Thanks for making this happening, Yahoo! Smiley

Hey lads,

personally I liked higher stacks. So Maybe 20k or even 50k chips would be very fine for me!
Blind raise every 10 minutes?
Regarding the point structure, please do not make it even more complex. Let´s stick to the rules from the previous series.

But guys, I´m very confused about the currencies. Why don´t we use BTC like on SwC platform. Is it not possible?
I guess most of our players are living in EUR or USD countries. What are the rules, what do we have to consider?
Should my deposit be in EUR or BTC now?

I'll join if you open a telegram group. Discord wasn't to successful the last time, but I'm down to try.

If we are still going to be 9 handed then I like the idea of 5K chip stacks and 8 minute blinds - If we have the option of being 6 or 8 max at a table then I'd like to see 10K chips with 8 minute blinds.

Im fine with whatever chip stacks that we are going with but the problem would be the blind structure. I personally prefer it to be 250 Bigs just like what we had on swc before although Im good if we decide to go with 100 or 200 Bigs and 8/10 minute blinds ( 8 minutes if we are going with 10k stack or 10 minutes if we are going with 5k stack )

I am okay being the person to receive the 5$ and holding it for the finale if still needed.

Im good with this. Steamtyme is trusted enough to hold the extra fees

I think the same as you Arallmuus, 8 minutes with 10k - 10 minutes with 5k! Steam is trusted, no doubt in that, and last but not least I am always for higher prizes for the first place.

The issue with the tourney starting stacks is they always start with larger then we are used to blinds and also Antes. So my suggestion would be a minimum 10000 stack.

I think 20,000/10min is the best option. The last game was very passive, I could join the game in two hours and my stack would still be in the top ten.

I would also like to suggest an addition to the distribution of points. The main points are awarded depending on the occupied places in the tournament, and additional points are intended for each knocked out opponent, (For example, 0.5 points for each Knockout).

With 20k chips and 10 min. blinds we will play much longer! But I like the suggestion about points for each knockout... just it will be a problem for tracking that! Someone needs to watch all tables, to write down what happens, and to play poker!

Let's not complicate things, copy/paste the settings from previous series and that's it! Create poll for blinds structure, let the votes make a final decision about that!
