I'm from Asia too and that's what I'll be doing once the first tourney is live and hoping I may get it to the finals though it may doubtful this time considering how many good forum players are in the lobby once again.

Looks like you are from an asian country like me. I'll tell you what i did for all 5 freerolls. I go to bed around 8.30, setup an alarm for 12.15 or so (12.25 if i really need that sleep 😀) then play until i'm eliminated. I actually won the 3rd price on freeroll 2 or 3. Within about one minute, Yahoo took the guy who won the 2nd place to cleaners..

So exciting to see the timeline for the betnomi tournament I guess being a little bit ok with the schedule and will work towards taking part in the tournament.
More exciting is the fact that the tournament is open to all Bitcointalk members and no restrictions see you guys on the 30th of this month when the tournament fully starts.

I really hate to say that I can't participate. IIRC, in the other discussion thread, I told you about my interest but due to the time slot, I will not be able to play. UTC 7 pm is 12.30 am here in my local & that's the last time I go to bed. I can't be any more late. Wish you all good luck, enjoy the poker series; I wish I could join there with you.

Let's hope that those who participated in the freeroll at least let themselves be seen 1-4 times, it would be very good and this would guarantee an excellent participation and that we always have these freerolls before each series.

Thank you yahoo62278 for the tournament held. I think paying in multiples of $10 is a pretty cheap price. I might give it a try if I have enough time. Can other forum members participate? because some of my friends are more proficient in games like this, I suggest if it is open to other than members in the forum.

So is this the same stuff that we gonna pay via sending the entry fee on your account on Betnomi? I'm gonna DM you by the way to get the referral link since I have no Betnomi account yet. The last time I played the series as far as I can remember was on SwC and not Betnomi. Please check it.

Amazing news! Finally! It's been a long time since we had the last Bitcointalk Poker Series. I can't believe we are playing in any case, regardless of the number of participants. Is it true? Because I think it's pretty much possible that despite 60-70 players coming to free rolls, we won't be able to get 20+ participants for the real game.

Well it has finally arrived, the BETNOMI freerolls are almost over and it's time for the series to begin. I hope you all have had a chance to try out the site and play some poker. Everyone is allowed to participate in the series. It's open to all bitcointalk members.

Information

The series will feature 8 qualifier tournaments, a Grand Final and a Runners Up Final. There is an internal points structure, where you accumulate points to qualify for the Grand Final. If you are a regular player, you will automatically qualify for the Small Final(not open for qualifiers into the Grand Final).

We play Texas No Limit Hold'em, the starting stacks are 50000 chips, blind levels are 5 minutes and there is no late registration available. There will also be 1 rebuy allowed.

Also opened a telegram group if you guys wanted to talk about this without it being on the forum. I'll leave that up to you.

The entry fee per tournament is $11.32. 1 rebuy will be allowed as well for $11.32. Pw will be posted in this thread as well as available on the telegram group.


There are no entry fees for the Grand Final and the Small Final.

A total of 8 qualifier tournaments will be played inside 8 weeks, Sundays 7PM UTC(This is the same as forum time). If possible, register as early as possible, since there is no late registration available.

How the points work

To determine who will qualify for the Grand Final, we have an internal point structure, where you get a number of points for each tournament, when you finished inside the Top 10.

10th = 1 Point
9th = 2 Points
8th = 3 Points
7th = 4 Points
6th = 5 Points
5th = 6 Points
4th = 7 Points
3rd = 8 Points
2nd = 9 Points
1st = 10 Points

If two or more players have the same amount of points after 8 tournaments, the average finishing position in all tournaments participated will be the tie-breaker.

Grand Final

The 9 players with the most points from our internal point system will be eligible to play the Grand Final, which will take place on "Undertermined". You will likely  have to register for this tournament with a password I will send to all the qualifiers and don't have to pay an entry fee. Betnomi is sponsoring $ for this tournament.

1st- 43% of Prize Pool
2nd2 24%of Prize Pool
3rd- 12% of Prize Pool
4th-6th- 5% of prize pool each
7th-9th- 2% of prize pool each
Every player who joined at least 4 of the 8 qualifying tournaments, will be eligible to play in the Small Final, no matter how many points they accumulated. You will receive a password for this tournament and don't have to pay an entry fee.  Only players who did not qualify for the Grand final game will be allowed to enter the Small final.

The date for both tourneys is TBA and the prize is $2500 for the GRAND FINAL and $500 for the small final.
