Every transfer I made this week has affected me negatively. I sold Odegaard and bought Rashford.

I was actually asking Trofo in chat earlier if there were anyone who'd bought into United's resurgence and took in Rashford/Sancho. Guess I found one of them, haha! Hope you at least got Bruno in as he's the only United player I rated all season last year.

Btw, hats off to the 500k managers who transferred out TAA prior to the BOU game.  Cheesy

Why would anyone do that? Haha. Bad reviews from United and Fulham? But he's always been bad defensively, he more than makes up for points surely in assists alone.

I made only one transfer and it will probably end very bad for me, I changed Haaland for Kane.

Yeah, honestly I looked at my position, effectively not playing the first 3 games of season and I'm not TOO bad. This week's gamble leaving Salah out was pretty cool, only I should have put Haaland in (opted for VVD and switching things around so one defender goal is not TOO bad).

Probably shouldn't have used my wild card so early but thought I needed to clear out my squad with injuries and randos...

Every transfer I made this week has affected me negatively. I sold Odegaard and bought Rashford. Odegaard managed to score another goal this week. Instead of T.A.A, I bought Robertson. T.A.A managed to win 8 more points than him. If I say that my captain was Salah at the same time, it would be the recap of my week. As all of these bothered me I used wildcard and decided to change my squad.

We are in the same boat, CLS63, my season is more or less over! All the players I switched out had big games and my new squad did not impress at all.. lol
I made only one transfer and it will probably end very bad for me, I changed Haaland for Kane. Guardiola was talking about resting Haaland, probably in next mid week game against NFO and I decided to switch him out early since Spurs have better fixture this week. We will see later how that worked out but I am not hopeful.

But we are still early, Fantasy is decided in last third of the season where we have all the double weeks and we know how teams are performing plus all the casual managers drop out and you don't have to rush transfers any more. My goal for first 2/3 of the season is to keep in striking distance of top positions in the leagues I am playing (less then 100 points is perfect, 200 is manageable, more than that very though), save all my chips and build squad value as much possible without compromising results too much.

Salah blanking in a 9-0 win reminds me of Havertz last year not getting any attacking returns in a 7-0 win against the league's worst team and defense (Norwich) with Lukaku, Werner, and Pulisic all being injured for Chelsea. During that same gameweek, the "second-best" captaincy pick scored a hat-trick at Old Trafford...gotta love those point swings. Btw, hats off to the 500k managers who transferred out TAA prior to the BOU game.  Cheesy

It surprising still as to how Liverpool could win Bournemouth in an ass whipping 9 goals to nothing and Moh Salah couldn't get a goal like how!

Exactly ! I didnt watch the game and when I checked it on flashscore around 50 minutes after it was started, I was happy that it was 6-0 then thought that surely Salah is going to be in one of it either assist or goal but nope he didnt lol. Its probably just another bad day for him though

My regrets anyway was letting Luiz Dias out of my team. I've had him for over 3 game weeks and finally decided to let loose due to low points in all 3 game weeks and he comes to score a brace with 13points tied to his name!

Im glad that I decided to keep Van Djik on my draft. I was so close to take him out and removed him with perisic because he wasnt giving decent points for 3 weeks. Well glad I didnt and Van Djik got 12 points, it seems all that waiting finally paid off huh ( although I did ended up switching one of my other defenders to perisic though )

Had Salah on my draft and captained him. It was Haaland but because Haaland was pretty 'okay' last week, I decided to captain Salah but oh well not a single goal or assist out of 9 goals in totals. I dont really expect you to not have Haaland on your draft yet, I thought that Haaland is pretty much a main necessity for the striker spot in fantasy
Mine was Luis Diaz. Had Moh Salah too but had to transfer him and got Kevin De Bruyne on my team and though it wasn't his best days, it was surely better than Moh Salah. nine-goal thriller and Salah is the worst player on the pitch, meanwhile, benchwarmer Firmino had 3 assists and 2 goals.

i have some money left so i might transfer out Salah and buy either KDB or Haaland (i'd to go with a 4-3-3 formation for haaland, not a fan tbh). Glad i didn't captain salah, my sincere condolences for those who did  Grin

I feel like all logic decisions fall flat out this season, and it is all about hunches. Pep talks about Haaland rotations and then Haaland goes and scores hat trick. Now everybody will buy him and then he will stay on bench against NFO.

changed Haaland to captain and excluded Zaha last minute (not sure what was the reason him not playing)
but Salah is a mystery, no goal today, and Liverpool scored nine goals, what a feeling, not sure why I am having him in the team anymore

nevertheless, we took point at Brentford, should be important to start picking points, or relegation fight could be enforced again to us

Edit: @icopress what a pick with Firminho. And even Fernandez scored a goal for United.
Firmino was bound to play today. But the Fernandes pick was so clutch, he played really good against Liverpool so i reckon @ico expected him to display another great performance today

i wouldn't be surprise to see Fernandes at the top of the 'transfers in' table next week
Of course Firminho was bound to play, but if you asked me who will get returns for Liverpool, Firminho would have been maybe 5th choice. Salah, Dias, Arnold and Robertson would all be above him and we have only 3 Liverpool spots in our teams.

Told you guys that Liverpool will be good today. 2:0 up in first 5 minutes, and one more goal disallowed for offside. Salah is still quiet but I would be very nervous if I did not have him as captain today.

City loosing, so as good start to match day as possible for Liverpool supporters.

Edit: @icopress what a pick with Firminho. And even Fernandez scored a goal for United. What a match day for you. In the end free hit will work realy good.

And Van Dijk too!

Turns out to be the most awful day to captain Salah, 7 freaking goals and not even a single assists is attributed to him, who would have imagined that if you were only told the scoreline ? 🤔🤔 a
and Haaland with brace to give Man City a 3-2 lead over Crystal Palace 🤕🤕

OK, so, first half performance from Liverpool is poetry.

I did take Salah out, hoping Diaz and TAA would do all the job and I was sort of right. My only regret? I removed Firmino when I refreshed the team to keep VVD in defence... haha, who's now got 3 assists and a goal. He was even my vice ouch.

Not bad, not bad. Don't worry guys, Trofo's right. Salah your captain will still give returns, he's been so sharp, just missing at least one sitter.

I could agree with you by having just 3 defenders, but the combination still looks wrong especially with Van Dijk, the most you'd get from him is if Liverpool manage to keep a clean and he doesn't get booked too.

As for the midfielders too, the choice combination seems pretty terrible tbh, and ad you've said it's a gamble of may or mar, and that's all I can think of it to be, if not a combination of 90% mar and 10% may.
i kinda agree with you about that defence, having three at the back and two of them being CB's feels wrong, VVD is having an awful start of season and Brentford players are a coinflip, but, i think that midfield looks very strong for the long-term. Everyone's on equal footing at the start of the season, but once the teams start finding their mojo, all of these top-class players will start dropping great performances week in and week out, so unless they get injured or sent off, i don't see @ico making many changes to that midfield meaning the free transfers can go to the defence

about the GW2 indication, it's probably best performance of the week (?)

anyway, Guardiola's press conference just finished and he didn't say anything about Ake's injury, guess i'll have to wait after the training session this afternoon for more news, i really want to transfer out the Brentford shitter that i added last week ):

His midfield would definitely be a long term highly considerable team, but with the free hit he's squad would be back to default after this game week.

Yeah, I saw the press conference too and I'm ready to be rid of Ake, regardless of what Guardiola's decision would be I'm sure he's counting on Ake more this season and wouldn't want to take any kind of gamble that could have a long term effect on him, and moreover I think I may have found a better choice for the time being, so I think my decision to be rid of him for the next few weeks will be justified in the long run and over the span of those weeks, all things being considered.

SON will be the captain! And I am almost sure that he will score no less points than Salah! I want to add that the choice of Fernandes is also not accidental... although Manchester United is bad, they still look better than Southampton, and the fact that only 2% of managers own this asset makes this player extremely profitable in terms of chances of getting points that will allow you to get around others.

I really can't help but say you literally didn't only just waste that chip, but imo you chose to have a lesser amount of points than you likely would have had with your original team and just a number of substitutions/tweaks.

Bruno Fernández and Roberto Firmino, really? Like, did you watch these guys play themselves last Monday... they practically played same roles. More of supporting, trying to give the necessary assists. For Bruno, he was the captain of a team that where in desperation but Roberto Firmino had better chance of making the most for Liverpool team but was hidden by the Manchester United defence. The game was a very touch one but, Firmino didn't prove better against a tough defence.
For Son, his a player with potentials, a very creative one and can always find his way around getting a goal or creating an assist. Good choice on that one. It's your team anyway and my thoughts.
I can only agree here, Firminho and Fernandez are non factors in fantasy. There is a reason why some players are so popular and other are not. I get it that idea is to get some differential and try to recover position but this is a wrong way to do it. It can work maybe with one or two players but not with half of the team.

There is also a factor of free hit used, I would never use any chip apart from wildcard before last third of the season. Value just isn't there.

If you wanted to go differential route I would have used wild card and taken Kane and De Bruyne, two proven players that will score a lot of points and yet differential since everyone is on Salah and Haaland.

Saka also looks bad this season and isn't worth the money at the moment. Left side of Arsenal attack is where everything happens and Saka is quite cut off from the team. Even Xhaka looks more dangerous than him just cause he is on that left side.

Good luck with your team, could work anyway. For instance last match day all premium defenders got 0 and 1 points while Odegaard scored a lot and he is another player that should never be picked in fantasy.

Does that sound like stable defense to you? I like James but I have no confidance in this Chelsea side. If their fixtures were just a bit worse I would have already pulled the trigger and got rid of him. As it is, I really don't know what is the right decision but I know that the one I don't have in my team will have big haul next week  Grin
Lol. Kinda! As long as Kante is out, our midfield will continue to expose our defenseline so I'm keeping James because he's the only defender who has a chance to score or assist, and I think Tuchel will return the team to good shape soon. I won't be getting rid of James, KDB, or Salah anytime soon because they are all a part of my long-term strategy.

BTW! Koulibaly failed I had to get rid of him.

Yours is better I had Kouli with a -2 in one of my worst GWs, my defenders let me down, my attackers were a little more manageable, but overall it was a disaster, I wish I could revamp my bench.
Koulibaly was so much of a choice for me haven't seen him on your team team watched him play, even got to score a goal but, he was pretty bad in GW3 and the red card was just worst. Thanks to my bank that wasn't enough to get Koulibaly on my team but, i soon looked forward for Perisic and still wasn't due to time. In the end, the GW3 was something else. Better luck in GW4.
I got rid of Perisic after the first gameweek, a move I'm beginning to regret because he's starting to play a big role in Conte's 3-4-3 formation. BTW, Kouli wasn't as bad as you might have thought; was good until Mendy decided to act silly and put the entire team under pressure, he was putting in a good individual performance.

My GW3 was shit
