dang I have like 5 players from Liverpool and Chelsea altogether
It's a FPL pandemic, so I don't think I'll be rushing into making any hasty decision(s) just yet, I've also got 2 players from Brighton, 2 from Liverpool and 1 each from both Leeds and Man United, that's 6 players without a fixture, I guess these circumstances are vital to what makes a better football manager
Most teams are still heavy on Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, and maybe even Brighton players, postponing the London games on Sunday only will be the absolute worst-case scenario. With my team, i'll only have 6 players available and will have to field Danny-fucking-Ward at Spurs, lol. I'll definitely have to burn my wildcard a week or two earlier than desired.
probably 4 on the field if I decided to bench one from the midfield but is it worth to use the wild card with 4-5 players not getting any points or should I wait for it to be atleast 6 though? Still pretty clueless on when is the best time to use it
There is no wrong time to use the wild card to be honest, just use it whenever you feel it's worth, Let me try an explain how best to go about it, why most people are waiting for after the international break is literally due to the fixtures swing and the potential injuries that would come from the break, so If you want to use your wild card now, you might have to ask to ask your self a few questions such as;
One, will it be projected towards the players you plan on having after the international break if that's when you plan to use it, maybe due to a perceived favorable fixtures after the break, and secondly would they also be playing in the coming weekend ?
If the answers to questions are Yes, Yes, then you should go for it by all means, since you'll be getting some points for them playing this week and since they're already a part of your plans for after the break, so it wouldn't hurt to bring them in just a bit earlier and get a couple of points from them, all you just need is to hope for an injury-free international duties.
However, If the answers to the questions above is a No, Yes. Then, alternatively, you can also still use your wildcard and have a perhaps a maximum of 3-5 players deviation from your intended lineup for after the break, you'll currently have 2 two free transfer for the next game week (9), and the week after that (10) you'll have another one with which you can still rotate your team to get very close to your initial plan without taken any point loss from this coming game week with the players with postponed fixtures and you'd still end up with the team you wanted for your wildcard initially.
Finally, If the answers to the question is Yes, No or No, No. Then, there is absolutely no reason to use the wildcard before the international break, due to the several uncertainties surrounding it and bringing them in early just in time for this current game week also would not serve any purpose, the best move to rather make is to just make use of your free transfer(s) for this game week to get in the most essential players that should be playing during the weekend and hope for the best, then make plans for after the break.
