I have registered and the site is not bad at all, I know that it is a nascent casino, the fact of having LN implemented is a great addition especially in these moments of the market where everything is an uncertainty with the price of BTC, if it goes up a lot the fees are very high, what I really think should be accepted is that KYC should be applied to everything, I imagine it is because of the type of license, on the one hand you can see that the site is really authentic but KYC take it as an infallible option to protect themselves against any eventual money laundering. I hope they get more acceptance from the forum players.

It will be good for the members if they do not have to fills KYC, although they are on the limit by your rule. I am sure they will not try to break the rule because they can make their account banned or blocked. The member non-KYC will play as usual like in the other gambling site and obey the rule.

I already register on your site and see what is inside. I see the minimal deposit is about 0.0002 btc so I think that will be enough for the member to check the site.
Maybe you are right or you are wrong, if the business has to comply somehow to regulations then KYC is inevitable but if they force it even though it's not really needed then they are wrong but given how online gambling is getting regulated, I think KYC is the best course of action. Their minimum deposit is pretty good, I might check it out later.
If the government forces them to apply KYC for their members, the casino can not do anything except follow what the government wants. They will explain to their members that KYC is now part of their casino and asks them to fill the KYC. The casino will transparent to their member and will try to hide something and after the member fills the KYC, they can give some bonus or other things to make them happy.

But if the casino can choose between applying KYC and not applying, the casino can select both choices for their members. That will also give an option for their members to complete the KYC.

We appreciate your concerns for players and we take them to heart at bets.io !

Please rest assured knowing that we adhere to the standard norms established industry wide and that KYC is requested in special cases and do not form part of our regular support routine. I hope that addresses your immediate concern.

As part of being a compliant license holder, KYC needs to be requested in case of suspicious activity, bonus abuse, etc. This means that if you play in accordance to our terms and conditions, you will not be requested documents supporting your identity.

do you accepting the payments via the Lightning Network? Or is it just a metaphor?
Seems just a metaphor, because I don't find a Lightning network option for deposit and withdrawal.

Do you have the community chat option available where players can chat to each other as did not found on the site, unless I have missed it.
no, they don't have, I got a trap in the green balloon with a message symbol right below is for supporting chat. but don't worry If they changed something we can see changed log here; https://www.bets.io/change-log

I just sign up and explore the website, the dark theme set by default but I can't find the button to change to light.
And you can adjust it into light by looking at the left side bottom side under help which has a label of "AM-PM".
oh, I see, Thanks. I usually used light and dark button mode on the right top. Got surprised on "AM-PM", something new for me.

some people just worried about the document going to the dark market.

Curacao license - checked
Softswiss - checked

This site has a picture-in-picture feature which is I'm not really familiar. Everything else is pretty much the same as other casinos. However, the mandatory KYC really turned me off. Hopefully, the strict KYC/AML policy is not really implemented.

I explored the website as well but I didn't have to register myself but as I see, I like the dark theme that they have by default. And you can adjust it into light by looking at the left side bottom side under help which has a label of "AM-PM".
You can press the sliding button to change the theme at your will.

As part of being a compliant license holder, KYC needs to be requested in case of suspicious activity, bonus abuse, etc. This means that if you play in accordance to our terms and conditions, you will not be requested documents supporting your identity.

All right then. If Kyc were to be made mandatory, your users would lose interest in your platform. Yes, in some cases to stop a user with bad intentions, you can ask that user for kyc because we know how many types of fraud exist online. Those who find a slight weakness in a platform misuse it and they can do a lot of damage to that platform economically.

So I hope you will be careful enough towards normal users and there will be zero tolerance against frauds.

if you are a player that abide the rules of the casino, then, i guess there will be no problem when it comes to your withdrawal. however, every player should read their terms & conditions, so at least you know where they are coming from when suddenly your account has been frozen or of that sort. they have curacao license so it is understandable if at some point they will require kyc, if they deem it is necessary.
right now, they are a new player, so they need to attract players as much as they can.
btw, their no wagering requirements under daily races may attract players but the prize pool is still not that much.

But to be sure this site 100% needed KYC verification even though small or big money.

But based on their KYC policy page as quoted below:

Quote
A KYC is carried on all withdrawals and deposits which accumulate to €2,000 crypto equivalent

This policy gives a chance for small players to not pass the KYC if their withdrawal and deposit accumulation is less than €2,000.
So which one is the truth? Do small players need to do KYC even if their accumulative amount of deposit + withdrawal is less than €2,000?

I see ''accumulation'' so even if the small players when it reaches $2000 deposits+withdrawals then it needs KYC so I think this is not a suitable place for players who don't like KYC like I will avoid this one.

Btw I just contacted support, this is what they said :

Hi there!
We don't request KYC at all at the moment, unless there are any suspicious activities suspected of a player 🙂
You can sign up and play normally with out submitting a KYC

This bring a confusion, terms and support are contradictive to each other.
If support says like that then the terms about the limit should be removed as logically KYC will be asked when there is suspicious activity only.
Lets wait for the OP to clarify about this, it should be clear first before anyone want to play here especially those who have a big concern related to KYC.

Your website will be easy for users to use because this website is also mobile phone friendly. Since now internet users use mobile more for internet usage. So this is a plus point for you. I also like the design of the website. I hope you will give good service to the gamblers and not give a chance to make negative reports.

I see ''accumulation'' so even if the small players when it reaches $2000 deposits+withdrawals then it needs KYC so I think this is not a suitable place for players who don't like KYC like I will avoid this one.
So it means when a gambler reach the €2000 value for deposit and withdrawal we need to comply on their kyc requirement? If this true then gamblers who are allergic on kyc might avoid the site.

This amount is quite low. Crypto gamblers always try to avoid kyc, because they do not want their information to be disclosed to anyone else. So many will lose interest due to this kyc rule to join this platform.

Your web design is simple and that's what actually most users want. It's better to keep things simple and accessible. Do you require KYC for the instant withdrawal that you offer? I hope that you'll offer more welcome bonuses in the future. As for me, that will attract more users.

Dear all,
Debbie here, my heart sunk when I’ve seen your replies and realised I’ve broken the rules posting, I am genuinely very sorry about that, it came from a good place in wanting to reply to you all and I was excited to meet you on the live chat, I will apologize to the team here internally too and I hope you can forgive me, it wasn’t intentional, it’s no news here to the team I tend to over-communicate!  I know now and will do my best for the BitcoinTalk Community and I thank you for bringing it to my attention.
We may be a new casino but we are not new to the industry, I’ve personally known a lot of players who have had issues with KYC and the main way we want to present Bets.io and take care of our players going forward is by giving them fast cashouts and not delaying payments for KYC and give a really unique VIP experience where all players know that we care and will treat them well.
Yes, we are licensed and KYC terms are on our website according to our gaming licence.
The site is on a soft launch right now, we have tested and tested but you can’t expect nothing to ever go wrong, and that is why our offerings may seem a little low to start with while we promise to fix anything that wasn’t right.
I’m happy to say everything has been great and we will be doing bigger and better promotions in the future.
I can sit here and write all day how we are great and genuine (it’s true) but as you know the proof is in the pudding and it won’t be till some players come back here and post their experiences that you can believe, I would feel the same. I’m a player too.
Come take a leap with me and I promise you that you will not be disappointed.
Wishing you a great day and or evening ahead.
Debbie xx

I wouldn't worry too much about it myself. If you're new to the forum, people won't care too much about it. What is much important, I think, is the functioning and reliability of the site. Once players have posted their experience here, we'll be able to judge a little better and link a status to the site. Most players are familiar with the KYC procedure, and most of them are prepared to fulfill the required documents without problems.

Welcome to the forum. If you're saying that the payments are 'Lightning fast', keep in mind that it's a bit confusing and prompts a question: do you accepting the payments via the Lightning Network? Or is it just a metaphor?
Also, you're saying the casino's for thrill-seeking players, but your games seem pretty regular for a casino (slots, roulette).
What I do like is that you have a light-mode and a dark-mode version of the website, and the dark-mode seems more appealing to me. But I guess it would be better if your marketing sets clearer expectations.
Good luck!

Seems like a pretty risky proposition, imo.

They reserve the complete right to conduct KYC on anyone and seem to have it in their TnCs. I personally wouldn't risk depositing if I wasn't comfortable with giving KYC even when keeping inside the 2,000 euro limit.

This is quite sad, since I do think that the site is great and its domain name could rival some of the bigger players in the scene right now just from a mainstream marketing perspective. But bringing up any chance of KYC basically destroys any shot of rivalling the established, non-KYC firms.

I have no idea, who can explain this serious question to this only competent person, betsiocasino. If a term like that, they have to explain the detail, I guess the user can do a transaction without proof of the document but must provide personal info such as address and phone number.
