I like to be confused when bitcoin is linked to legal or illegal, knowing that bitcoin electronic currency is free, so it's not tied to anything, so it's OK if we want to gamble with bitcoin because if we lose the government it will not be responsible

I don't think it will illegal.
To start a betting or lottery business, one must initially have a gambling license so if the business does not have a license to operate a crypto based gambling business, then the whole this is illegal.

Offline gambling will always need a licence and most of the countries will not issue a licence. Mostly government will not encourage their people to gamble and lose their money.

For gambler this is legal to bet bitcoin or any other currency it is the countries different rules and regulation whether they will allow the betting for currencies or not but for me the betting in bitcoin is legal and we should also gamble for this. In our country the bitcoin betting is illegal and the governments are trying to do some control over the crypto currency and if we chose bitcoin for the life time then it is a good strategy to use in the future and like now the bitcoin is using for various purposes.

Of course betting in bitcoin will be illegal if bitcoin is illegal in one country while bitcoil will be legal if it is accepted. However, you could still play gambling in your country even though it is illegal because bitcoin transaction is undetectable. No one can determine if you were a female, male or adult, teen, etc.
If you are not provided with your personal information to gambling site means you can play gambling with bitcoin. Nobody will find you but if you made a big profit and you want to convert it to fiat that time it will become tough for you because you have to sell your coins to exchange site and your money will deposit to your bank account. if you find any local buyer then the problem. winning big amount is not easy so just for fun, you can play with cryptocoins no problem.
When it regards to these kind of situations on where you do win big amounts then cashing it out or converting it would really give you some headache.Verifications and documentations would already be involved since exchanges would really asked for this requirement but well we are just talking for some rare cases but on the general side talking about legality then it would matter most on a certain law of a particular country. If its prohibited then you should avoid but if not then you can do what you want.

Well I guess it depends on the country where you belong. If you are in the country that gambling is illegal then bitcoin betting is technically illegal and vise versa if it is legal. However, you could still bet on online gambling since it doesn't require any personal info so they will not know your identity.

It will depend upon each country how they have regulations as rightly stated. If country accepts Btc and gambling is legal then their is no issue. If country accepts btc but gambling is illegal still it becomes illegal . And if gambling is legal but crypto currency is declare as illegal still it becomes illegal.

Of course it's legal, why not?
But not everywhere, dude. In our country, it is crime to even open such casino. Not only casino, if someone is found guilty to provide a platform for people to come and gamble, either it is restaurant or a house, he will be accused of crime and thrown to jail without any consent. It is extremely a case of social and moral disgrace if any person is involved in gambling, in any form it as well.
In countries where it is a crime to open casinos, then I am sure gambling generally is illegal and if you are caught, you most definitely will be dealt with. I see no reason going against the law anyway and anyone even after the law wants to go ahead, I believe the existence of cryptocurrency gambling has made everything easy. I understand how some society perceive gambling anyway, and that is what makes it what it is at the end of the day, whether legal or illegal.

That's where crypto comes along to fight for your freedoms, when someone takes them away.
You can't ban bitcoin, and you can't ban people gambling with it.
Get a VPN, do what you want, enjoy.

I don't think it will illegal.

Betting of your own bitcoin asset is not an illegal, because thats is your own money  even it is in digital form, only the things become that illegall if that bitcoin you bet is coming from the other people that been victim of phishing or hacking, and you bet in gambling.definetly gambling is not illegal in my country if you have a permit coming from the government, and you pay taxes properly, but this betting of bitcoin is not illegal if its your currency, and you only do this for recreation and enjoyment for yourself.

Bitcoin is all about uncertainty, making bets on its price moves doesn't need any legality. It can be considered same as that we bet on sports events. Some countries where gambling is a banned thing, and in such cases it might require some sort of legal acceptance.
There is even no need for legal acceptance in such countries. If the country has banned it, then that makes it totally illegal to be involved in such activity unless you know how to cover your tracks. At the end, the determinant factor if it is illegal or not all balls down on the country in question. However, the use of bitcoin or cryptocurrency has made a lot of things anonymous and most times you can always stay off the radar of the government.

Technically speaking, I should say that bitcoin betting is an illegal thing for there is no legalities on the existence of Bitcoin in the first place. Also, I still value the age limits that should be imposed in gambling and there are websites where age does not matter when you play or join in the game.

Yeah, in these points wise, we can say it is illegal because online gambling sites now age doesn't matter. In fact in real casinos government not allow to play under teenagers and teenagers are ban to play gambling in casinos. But on online gambling sites has no problem with age issues, and all kids and youngsters are playing gambling because of crypto currency allow them to play it. Actually i am worried about my kids because kids have no sense to use and manage money and if they start to play gambling then may be gambling destroy their life. That's i think online gambling of bitcoin is illegal, otherwise i always vote for bitcoin gambling.

That is not being technical. How will you say something is technically illegal when of course it is not declared illegal in the first place ? We all understand what illegality means which is something that is not permissible by law, and if your law have no problem with it or have no rule against it, then i see no reason why it should be illegal.

I understand your point though, considering how there is no age limit on the usage of some of these sites which makes it worrisome, but it should be at everyone's discretion.

It is illegal only in us because they can't earn money from these sites if they are paying tax then it's fine but till now most betting sites don't have a tie up. If you use vpn you are good to go or else if you don't reside in us then it isn't illegal because there isn't any particular law for bitcoin gambling

There are no rules in my country regarding playing with bitcoins. However, I suggest that everyone should pay taxes on the profit. Also, if the government in my country made its stance clear regarding this, I would be really happy and play without any tension.
If there are no rules why pay taxes , giving tax on our winnings is free funds for the government which isn't necessary as long as there is no rule that you have to pay taxes on profit from bitcoin gambling don't pay and even if any such rule exist you can easily evade is as there is no chance the government would be able to trace you down and most bitcoin gambling sites don't bother about the user personal life unless you gamble on fortunejack
Why on earth would I gladly go pay tax to a government that has been stealing from me if there is no rule of capital gain tax on my bitcoin conversion. I would not really be that stupid anyway. I can only comply to such rules if there is a huge law on it, and since it is not a good thing breaking law, I can either move to a tax free country or maybe just stick to this one and pay like that. Regarding legality though, you have said it all, and I wonder how government want to start cracking down on every citizen when everything now is online and you can stay anonymous.

It depends on which country you are speaking, in many countries bitcoin is itself an illegal so betting on bitcoin also becomes an illegal activity. But in few place bitcoin is legal so then no question illegal there can easily play betting activity without any hesitation.
I may not know about those countries that consider bitcoin as illegal but I am pretty sure that there are more countries who
are open for the development and they accepted bitcoin although not yet regulating it.
Our best chance for bitcoin to continue to exist is when it will be regulated which I think we will be there soon.

And you know that anything online would be hard to illegalize since there are so many ways to run around firewalls by governments. Online betting sites for btc can be accessed pretty much anywhere by anyone. So probably as long as thr country isn't against regular gambling, btc gambling would be legal

No country announced officially that they allowed people to do online gambling with BTC. both are illegal but nobody can restrict these sites suppose if they restrict also people can use VPN and they get access to any websites. So if the country against regular gambling also people can freely play online gambling with BTC.

To track Bitcoin's gamblers, the countries must put some effort on it and I think they aren't really motivated to do this for now. It's too much effort for low results, so people are safe to keep gambling online with Crypto-Currency. Anyway, it's a ridiculous rule to try forbidding people to gamble either with Bitcoin or fiat.
