I cannot believe some people are still falling to these cheap scams. Ignorance and greed are deadly combinations even in crypto.

For let's say this scenario is new to those users who will experience it, they just have to used their "common sense" to deal on this. It's not a reason that people are just new to this so they became a victim, if ever.

If the person itself knew that the claims about them is not true, it's obvious that they must disregard the email. They can also make a self investigation if ever some details are quite "correct".

Spam message like that is really common even outside crypto world. People just have to be vigilant about those.

There is a mail that is being circulated in everyone’s mail box, claiming they have a clip of the user masterbating, and they’ll release it to all friends and families unless he pays money in bitcoins. The mail even goes on to shows ways how one can pay in bitcoins, this mail is one big scam and do not fall for it. This mail is like old wine in a new bottle, last year they send out our passwords, this year they’re sending out fake video claim.

If you have got such a mail here’s what you need to do:

1) Do not reply to it if you have opened it, if you see it just delete it the subject will be Hi perv. I recorded you masturbating! I have captured 'Mail.mp4'! [\b]

2) If you have opened it they’ll send you a second mail, simply delete it.

3) Do not pay any kind of ransom, this is a big scam.

What worries me is that many people are paying them, and those who can’t pay may end up taking their life’s due to sheer embarrassment, it’s my humble request spread the word about this as we all are the targets.

I know many of you’ll will say who’ll pay so see this 3MhAEHCKyh4xsNTvKANR5RKmNd3RpT4KSb people are already paying, this matter cannot be taken lightly and everyone should know this mail is one big scam.

That's look scary actually, I've encountered that before my old laptop was rotten. The scammer told me what I'm doing in front of my alptop and who am I talking too even what I'm typing it, then He also said that He will hack my account if I didn't pay 500$ then, because I felt nervous by that time, I shutdown my pc at once then opened it up again after 30 mins. It was just happened due to I don't have anti virus on my laptop. So after what happened I started to use a protection anti virus on my pc because of that happened.

This is actually an old story from last year, and maybe even older : https://www.ccn.com/new-bitcoin-scam-targets-embarrassed-porn-viewers/

Hackers target users who visit porn sites, and then ask them to pay ransom or they will send some compromising videos or pictures to your e-mail contacts. This is inovative way of asking ransom, and some will probably pay even without checking if there is anything compromising for them.

I did not get any such e-mail, and everything similar is just marked as spam without opening or give them second chance to send e-mail from same address. Users must be smart and do not allow to be trick with this, just send them to spam and be careful more with you e-mail.

This is a common scam but the worrying part is when they tell you your password and it is correct! This makes the user believe it is true when actually it is not, just hacked data from the dark web

We must be careful in doing anything related to money. I have heard problems like this before, and this is good information to remind us all. Hopefully we will all avoid the evil intentions of irresponsible people who want to take our money away.

This is very serious. Hope these scammers are not some projects who did airdrop/bounty to collect people details? People shouldn't just be scared by sending out cash in a hurry. Some persons just don't discuss matters of life with good friends to seeing how to analyze the issues. Thanks for this.

Thanks for this information. I would have been a victim if I did not come across this post. I also notice that a very good number of my exchange accounts have been compromised and really do not know what is happening these days.

Or the scammer himself could have sent the amount to the address to convince the would be victims that it's actually happening and some other victims are paying;
I checked;
1. bitcoinabuse.com and
2. https://bitcoinwhoswho.com
but the address doesn't seem to have been reported before.

Nonetheless we can make use of the websites and report this kind of addresses involved in scam, a couple of people clueless victims could be saved

It's a typical scam that has been circulating and they are now upgraded because they use crypto now.

I remember those days when they will require you to send through Western Union. Just don't also click any unfamiliar link that these scam spam emails show. Thanks for the reminder juggy.
