I don't know why people are complaining about the Binance exchange, Binance is very powerful exchange which they are following all security measures. I don't find anything wrong with the Binance exchange and even listing they are looking for potential coins.

Binance do the job, I have to admit.
Problem is that they have an awful way to deal with their shortcomings (like failing to send sms and blaming you).
Google auth. worked for me just fine.
Anyway, I would strongly advise not to keep your coins there (or any exchange).
Binance has a smooth trade and withdrawal platform, so I will keep using them.

To make things worse, I received this reply from Binance:
Hello:
Due to it has taken longer than usual to get your response of the ticket. Therefore, it is supposed that the issue has been closed already. If you still require customer support agent to assist you, please submit a new ticket. We appreciate your continued support and understanding.

Are these guys for real?

I opened my ticket and I am waiting for THEIR reply.... and all I get is that they closed my ticket due to a lack of response from me??

Is this a scam??

This much unprofessional approach by Binance? Seems very similar to some service known as Craptopia. Roll Eyes

I've never faced their support team, but after seeing that, it makes me wanna write a support ticket to them regarding any little complex issue right now.

Mate, it's time we start valuing the decentralized exchanges around us and say good-bye to these devils.

So I did write something to them worthy of getting a reply.

...and I didn't get any reply either. Roll Eyes

This really makes me think, why is Binance the number one?
You did get a reply and I am assuming it is not an automated reply. They did admit that they took long enough to answer your ticket and wanted to know if your problem was solved or not. If not, they want you to reply to this email and they will reply back to you (which i assume will take few more days again). God, they need to fix their english.

I am back in Binance but now for withdrawals they are asking me to activate the 2FA... is it mandatory?
Because I don't want to use it since that was the problem in the first place...
Binance has such an easy joining procedure and they do not even ask you for your KYC. 2FA is the least you can do in order to make your account secure. I am sure you do not want to end up with your account being compromised if someone else manages to break into your account somehow. By enabling 2-Factor-Authentication, you would ensure that such a scenario won't take place.
Binance is one of the most reputed exchanges out there and their customer support is also very responsive. I wouldn't doubt them.

t's a good thing that the support unit replied you and tried to resolve the issue. You may dislike using the  Two Factor Authentication thing, but it's also for your own good.  And I believe that now they have resolved the issue,  probably, it might not reoccur again. Just make sure you check if your number is updated and your connection is stable. This is the more reason why one shouldn't be leaving their coins in exchange.

I have read a lot of bugs in Binance.... and now it happened to me.
I can't log in to my account because Binance is not sending SMS.
I opened many tickets and only receive automatic response.

Send a direct Message in Twitter... and nothing... not a word.
Tried to access from my mobile, desktop, laptop, and even a new browser... no SMS to access...
Its been like 6 hours now.

I even lost my chance of selling my Ncash when it began to fall.... thanks to Binance

I read in Steamit that I could access via this  link:
https://www.binance.com/hw_login.html

Anyone knows if that link is legit??

Here is the article:
https://steemit.com/binance/@topproducerzone/binance-login-fix

I strongly recommend CAUTION when trading in Binance...

Another alternative is by using google Authentication to avoid delay in SMS  2FA delays, if your phone  is android OS download  google AUTH this is not only an alternative to 2FA it also secure your wallet against any threat by hackers.

@Pursuer  Thanks for the info! Can you name some of them so I can check them out?

unfortunately I have never really used any of them myself to give you personal opinion. I have only checked them out. I know of Bisq, Bitshares, EtherDelta and Openledger.
someone actually made a neat little topic listing them with their links and pros and cons. there is a lot more names on there too. check it out here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-of-decentralizedcentralized-exchanges-2906237

Really ? i thought binance was a legitimate trading site they seem to be starting to show their true colors. luckily i didn't invest on that site. I suggest you dont click any links given to you by unknown sources just find way to contact them maybe on telegram, twitter or skype. It's better to ask for help to their support team.

See we have to check every link before clicking or we have to confirm from the official sources of concerned support. Still, Binance is my favourite exchange for trading very secured and prompt exchange for trading.

What is the problem for mandatory implementation of 2FA? This shows that the site is serious with their site security and users will be at ease with that. Maybe you can't see the real value of 2FA right now since you surely not encounter any hacking so far.

It should be mandatory. I understand how you are somewhat afraid of using it again after everything that happened, but in current time and day, people not using 2FA, according to me, should lose the right to complain about malicious activity with coin loss as result. In most cases a lot of coin theft due to malicious activity could have been prevented easily with 2FA. Even if you face the same problems again, I rather have that than my account emptied by hackers. Security should always have more importance than convenience. On top of that, it's impossible to know if activating 2FA will bring back the same problems. It may very well be smoothly working now.

This is a login problem that you are facing in this scenario and I'm sure Binance will have it fixed in no time. Of course you lost the valuable time that you could've sold some of your crypto at a decent price but then again you can't crib about it because it's already over now. This isn't even the worst case scenario with respect to shady exchanges as many a times user funds have gone missing without any logs.

cryptsy also was a legit and popullar exchange.
The point is don't put your trust on the centralized exchange, there's always a possibility for the site to have problem even the worst like the site is going offline forever, I use so many exchanges including binance but i never store huge amount out there once i got profit I immediately cash out them to my decentralized wallet.
