You have great list of the decentralized exchanges there. Hope you keep it up on your list. I think decentralized exchanges are going to be the future of exchange for cryto currencies.

Yes!!!! So many decentralized exchange to study
Decentralized and centralized exchanges have their unique advantage and disadvantages.
So many Decentralized users have control over their funds, they do not require KYC-know your customer service and they're available 24/7.

Binance and Bisq seem to be some of the best exchanges.  Do we know of any problems, hacks or scams with these 2 as of April 2020, or anything that would prevent someone from trading with these two.  What crypto exchanges allow stock-trading-like orders such as limit buys or limit sells?

Nice thread mate. I am not into trading but I think your brilliant idea of posting something like this helps me a lot and to those who are new into this industry and planning to get into trading without doing further research about exchanges. I am a hodler of different kinds of tokens and coins and I know that time will come I need to trade them. That is why I need a thread like this wherein professional traders here in this forum would share their thoughts and experiences with the above mentioned centralized and decentalized exchanges which will help me decide which one to try one day.
Correct! There are still people specially the newbies that cannot distinguish dex and centralized exchange. In fact, when I was at my junior years, I thought that binance is a dex because I expected that exchange has prefer to be decentralized since cryptocurrency promotes decentralization.
But when I started to enter the exchange, I gradually discover that dex are different from cex.

Changelly
➡️ Changelly’s automated system is interesting, in that it aggregrates the prices of digital assets from different exchanges and then lists the average as the going rate for traders on the platform. Their fee model is straigthforward: they charge a flat-fee rate of 0.5 percent on every trade they facilitate. This fee remains the same across all the cryptocurrencies Changelly has liquidity for. Even cooler, Changelly has merchant APIs that lets websites facilitate crypto trades through an easy to use widget.
Changelly’s Introduction ⬇️
✔️ Transfer from one wallet to another within seconds. It's that simple.
✔️ Exchange cryptocurrency at the best rate
✔️ Other cryptocurrency trading services charge you with withdrawal fees and commissions. We have a reasonable fee of 0.5%.
✔️ Enter the amount and the address. Transfer your coins and let the magic happen.
✔️ Changelly is presented to you by MinerGate. We are a team with one of the longest track records on crypto market.

I think this exchange doesn't need to be included in your list, because this exchange has a lot of negative reviews from users so it will be prone to causing more casualties if you still enter Changelly into the list.

I think all of these decentralized ones (or dex for short) are not getting more attention because people still couldn't find one with
enough volume and coins that others have. I mean look at binance and look at all the other exchanges here, most of them are literally just a place where you have to put some order in and wait.

I have seen one with 18 bitcoin volume in the past 24 hours, 18 bitcoins! I mean how do you really expect people to join when you are that small and have that little volume, one person can change the whole order book in seconds and change the price right away. I just hope one day there will be a dex that has like a billion dollars in volume across the board and then we can actually have a conversation about if binance is better or not but in these situation we live in, binance will trump all of them.

But I think that to realize it is very difficult, because now binance has a good position and trust from investors. Moreover, the lack of security in the exchange of decentralization has made traders and investors reluctant to use this exchange. Its features are also quite limited compared to centralized exchanges such as binance.

Thanks due for this idea it was very informative, and I found out and realized that Decentralized(DEX) is not asking for any KYC while Centralized  was the opposite of DEX were KYC is mandatory to submit by each of their client users. This was absolutely very helpful to anyone whether newbies or old members in the forum. Keep it up pal Wink

The ones you have listed here is enough and they are okay cause they are legit. And just like you have said, centralized exchanges are easy for newbies to make use of… most noobs wouldn’t understand how decentralized exchanges works. When I started making use of cryptocurrency, I started with Coinbase… everything about them is easy and they are legit, their site is well secured, although I’m not 100% sire about that. But from what I see while making use of their site, I believe it is very secured.

Hi,

Try HB DEX, a built-in decentralized exchanges in HB Wallet.

HB DEX is a decentralized exchange market where all transactions will be conducted directly on Ethereum Blockchain. HB DEX operates entirely on HB Wallet Desktop Application, which is safer than web-based Exchanges and Wallets. Everything will be taken care by HB Wallet from storing tokens, conducting transactions, paying fees to check for transaction statuses. Via HB DEX, users can easily exchange ERC-20 token for ETH and vice versa, then sync their wallets to HB Mobile later.

Download HB Wallet Desktop version here to try HB DEX: https://www.hb-wallet.com/promo
I will really love to use DEX exchanges because they are still far more reliable when it comes to privacy than centralized exchange that could wake up one day and sell one off to the government, but the challenge I have had with the few ones I have come in contact with has been volume, they don’t usually have much volume that will make one trade get executed on time.

I have tried using a DEX exchange that my order took almost one month before I could get it executed which I even sold at a price that was not worth it. I know when new exchange starts, they need to do everything possible to get volume, but if we are to try this HB DEX exchange you mentioned here, what assurance do we have that whatever trade we carry out through it will be executed as soon as order is being placed.

This is quite nice. Now I have an idea where to sell my other altcoins too. You should have included cat.ex (transaction mining exchange) there. It is an exchange wherein it doesn't have transaction fee because the fee that you will use here will be converted in CAT token which is the same price as your transaction.

This is a little bit helpful and you can move this one to the beginners and help section. You can also get the opinion of high rank users their about your post or they can even help you add more listings they know on decentralized and centralized exchanges. You have a good list though and hope you can update the listings so that I could learn more about the exchanges.

~ snip ~

Wow, oh my gosh! I don't know if I am going to be sad about this news were Shapeshift now is no longer categorize at decentralize instead it is now centralized, well as long as it is still good no any negative feedback, perhaps I can consider it a good one. Isn't right? But honestly, I would rather comfortable to use the exchange that are being categorized in centralized as much as it is really has a good market volume as well.

Where have you been living this past couple of months? Under a rock?  Grin

Seriously though, its been months since Shapeshift has announced it so I really don't know why you late getting the memo. Here, check this thread, there's a good discussion about it, Shapeshift Membership. So yes, its no longer thought as decentralize because of this bitch move on their end.

I guess you need to update the list because Shapeshift.io just released statement that they are now requiring mandatory KYC. So say bye-bye for decentralization. Time to look for other crypto swaps like Changelly.

Making this post relevant again because there are alot of newbies looking to invest their hard earned money on crypto currency. These are the currency that you should be looking in for but be warned that you should really look into these currencies. Great job in explaining decentralized and centralized currencies.

but of course government must regulate it, and it can be used for prosperity of its people. but indeed we have not found government policy in most countries in the world
Are you talking out of your ass? Governments can't do anything to regulate decentralized exchanges, and for that reason will refrain from doing so. Instead, they prohibit other aspects of crypto uses.

People for once need to stop thinking that the government has to regulate everything in order to be useful or legal. The government doesn't care about you, so why should you care about them?

Them regulating markets means less overall freedom for you and me, which is exactly why I like the idea behind decentralized exchanges so much. We no longer have to wait for the approval of governments.
Well i don't have any interest with these coins but its better to gain some knowledge even we don't like to invest on them.
