Recently, I saw a link sent to me by SMS,and I was like which link is this,I remembered the advice on forum here about scammers. Immediately, I deleted it. Another method of crypto scam na airdrop. Airdrop dey pay before but it's most likely an avenue to scam now. Run away from any airdrop that request for your seeds phrases or private keys to participate.
First, I go like thank you for bringing this for the notice of people wey dey new to crypto here. This airdrop scams dey come in different format. I remember some years ago when I bin dey really new to crypto and the organisers of the project come dey demand for ETH to use as gas to send their token to airdrop participants, many persons fell for it. Las las after everything dem send the worthless token and abandoned the group.

Phishing link too dey among the method wey dem dey use scam now. Most of them go send link give u through your social media or ur email, they go tell you make you enter the link and input your details for the link wey dem send. All na lie and trap to steal your coins. Nodey even click on the link you receive from strangers. Some will ask you to connect your wallet address to some websites, no try am dey just wan steal coins wey you get for your wallet
Phishing links na something wey we suppose dey careful of. Make we no dey click anyhow links. Sometimes this scammers go clone a particular website and send you juicy promos or offers wey dey very tempting. Make we no allow greed to allow us make costly mistakes. Make we dey try to always dey the right project groups and get information from the right sources.

I wan share some few tips on crypto scam and how to avoid them.
First and foremost, take your own time do research on crypto before you begin. No just rush into it because you see people making it from it.
Secondly, scammers make use of fake project and team in order to scam people of their hard earned money in the name of IDO, Private sale etc and promise to list 10x in reputable exchanges just to attract victims. Don't fall for it. If it's too good to be true, it's probably a scam.

True, the major why you will see people still investing in a project after some red flags has been detected is because of FOMO, and that has also made newbies and even some veteran limit how indepth they do their research.

And again, crypto no be ponzi where you invest and expect high return within a specify time. Anybody that promises you investment with high return in crypto is a scammer and you should stay away from such person.

As a human you suppose know say some kinnd of things dey when nor just fit happen, how person go see project when they promise them returns when dey almost impossible to get and them go still invest in am. Greediness if you ask me.

First and foremost, take your own time do research on crypto before you begin.
But to strictly research on bitcoin and crypto scam and know how to avoid them is most important. Also being active on forums, like Bitcointalk would help as you will see many members exposing and bringing up about scam discussion and ways to avoid.

Run away from any airdrop that request for your seeds phrases or private keys to participate.
Some can ask for fee or certain amount of money to be paid before releasing the airdrop, it is a scam.
Also to be careful of phishing attacks. Avoiding KYC airdrops. Although experienced people are able to spot phishing attack easily.

And again, crypto no be ponzi where you invest and expect high return within a specify time. Anybody that promises you investment with high return in crypto is a scammer and you should stay away from such person.
There are some ponzi scheme, and pump and dump crypto projects.
Avoid strangers generally. Also know that a stranger may lure your friend or family member and the person may indirectly introduce you to scam.

Phishing link too dey among the method wey dem dey use scam now.
This is very important, to avoid phishing attempt. It can be through email, text message, social media, online sites or even through call. They are easy to know but newbies fall for it.
