NEW MEDICINE:Faster, Safer, Smarter
The scammers in the crypto community will not cease to take cheap advantage of newbies using successfully conducted projects to scam them.
A team of scammers are at it again using the name of UNISWAP to conduct a fake giveaway to steal from the unsuspecting newbies. The giveaway is announced through a medium post claimed to be UNISWAP's with other scam team members commenting to give testimonies about what they've earned from the giveaway to attract people to be their victims. A check on Uniswap Twitter and telegram channel doesn't contain anything about the giveaway. Don't fall for it. It's a scam.

This is what is bad about it crypto but then again this happens in any other field as well. Just make sure they don't ask for money to give to "free airdrop" . It's quite simple really.

I just hoped you also shared the link so we could check it out.
That at least could help more to put more awareness of how these scammers make their scam attempts.
I am also intrigued by how it looks.

It will never end, as long as the hype is still in process, scammers will try to take advantage of it.

Yeah, we should very careful about fake giveaways because usually they requiring their victim to send coin to them first.
The only legit uniswap giveaway is on their platform. If you have using uniswap since before September, you should eligible to receive the giveaway reward.

Scammers are now very busy to using the hype of Uni token to scam. Already many newbies may have fallen into the trap of these scammers, the main reason being that many did not get free tokens and now they are trying to get those tokens in various ways which is putting them in danger. Newbies should control their greed and use their thinking power to take the next step.

I am trying to expose the fake websites of UNI airdrop here.. [SCAM Alert] Uniswap fake airdrop and phishing websites.

After the UNISWAP party ended, a new attack with various tactics to deceive the victims. especially through a kind of UNI giveaway, send back ETH to claim UNI, UNI bot telegram and many more. This seems trivial, but in this case there are still many people who are happy to even send ETH just to get UNI tokens. even though the party was over!

I do not understand why people jump on any chance to make free money when it is so obvious that free money is not something that is given out to people that easily normally. I mean surely you have to realize that bitcoin is quite expensive and all the other cryptos worth something as well, which means if people promise you free money, they must be making something in return as well, did you assume that they are so rich that they wanted to share their wealth with the world or something? Are they donating this money to people who are in need?
~
Usually people who missed the previous "moment" will be hooked on the scams created by scammers taking advantage of market hysteria. So that the obvious scam facts they will ignore in order to get the "miracle" profit. You see, lots of new airdrops have sprung up with names similar to the suffix "swap", lol.
I always say, we can imitate the strategies of other people, but not with luck. So seek your own luck by working hard and learning more so you don't get caught up in panic and deception.

It's true because Uniswap Fomo is still ongoing and some people who don't get airdrops from Uniswap will be tempted and forget about whether it's true or not, if it is true it should be easy to avoid considering there are many scam promos like this.
and also many threads have been created to avoid scamer.

Have someone heard about 1Inch project? I’ve seen people here and there write that it will repeat Uniswaps airdrop. Have found a strong proof of that, but people call it “rumors that this project will be second uniswap” and rush to create volume on it to get more from imaginary future airdrop.

Could you elaborate how does this scam work exactly? Because you didn't mention that they would ask for money. Are they using fake websites to link your metamask and drain your wallet or what? I am just asking because some people like to call scam on everything. Like when they get tokens that have no value it's instant "Scam!"

This is an old song, every time a project succeeds in the market and brings success to most of the participants, it will certainly be made a nest by scamers. including the UNISWAP project has become a new tool for scamers to fool their victims through the UNI tokens giveaway. I hope that anyone will be more careful especially if they have to send ETH gas fees to claim UNI tokens, that's not true! UNI party is over. need to pay attention to that.

they take advantage of the moment, but the method used is still the same as from the previous year but people who are new to crypto will easily be tempted by the fake airdrop because the estimate offered is very tempting around 1600 $ for the current rate, maybe this will help them to avoid this fake airdrop.

Scammers are abusing hot topics. Everyone is reading about the success of UNISWAP and its upcoming airdrop, so who doesn´t want free money? People are greedy and they will not do research to find out if the airdrop is legit or not Wink.

Big problem with those who wanted to have a quick ride, they will just find it out that they've already been victimized due to thier laziness not to research things first before jumping in and tried their luck.
Lots of victims experienced such things as they are trying to fomo thinking that opportunities are open and it's one at time ride that they'll needed to participate and earned.

Literally it is nowhere near that, there is no way that we could consider it free money like that, it is just a free money that traps you there and asks for something so that they could get that worth back from you if they can.

Since this UNISWAP becomes like a trend right now when I heard that there is an airdrop happening, just to tell other people that some giveaways would like email you to claim your rewards already in their site. This happens often if you filled up some form.
When you manage to land to some somehow "modified" wallet site like MEW, close that tab/window because it is an attempt to steal your private keys as well.

After seeing so many scam giveaways and airdrops i have started ignoring each and every giveaway simply because i do not want to get phished and lose my wallet holdings.
I even block anyone on telegram and other social channels who contacts with some offer. We have to take the responsibility to stay safe ourselve.

I have seen this on Reddit a day ago and there are a bunch of people claiming that it's a scam.
Here's the link:
Code:
https://www.reddit.com/r/UniSwap/comments/ixb2tj/uniswap_announces_10000000_uni_giveaway/

Try to look at the medium page published on the Reddit post, you will see that the account is suspended and under investigation. As far as I know, Uniswap has no medium account. In this day and age where people can easily imitate everything, we must be aware some of those giveaways are not specifically made to be advantageous. Don't entrust them with your private information, especially about your funds. Usually, with that kind of account, those who comment are just bots or people that were paid to leave a good review, so that they can attract people to join. To be sure, take a good look at when the account was created.
