It's very simple. Real investors do not look on social media for investments and people looking for investors do not ask around and lurk around on social media like a beggar or something.
You just need to think for a little bit in a quiet place and it will be obvious to you. People who fall for this sort of thing are very foolish and gullible.
The right chat there is only based on people who know each other, and the rest are looking for reviews on the website. not entirely wrong unless really interested blindly. Several times I was offered an investment like this and wrapped in ICO headlines, but in fact it was still a pyramid scheme. the most important thing is to be vigilant, the right pattern is to seek, not be sought.

yes I was once offered like that but in the telegram, most people affected by fraud are people who are unfamiliar with the world of investment and crypto, for that we have to educate our friends or close relatives so that it is not easy to be trusted with such bulging investments.

There are so many educational videos on how to avoid and spot scam but sadly newbie people or even old player here still fall for the same scheme since  they are lazy to find a innovative ways for them to earn and always look for the worse and just let their self be haunted by the person who want to get a referral share when they join on the scam platform.

That is a good warning.

Yeah it's good thing to have those warning  since it can be a good indicator for newbies to read and hopefully they will apply it for thereselves to avoid those upcoming scams.

I will want to draw attention of newbies towards this scam on social media, the wide popularity of bitcoin is an advantage for criminals.
I got a message from an anonymous person on whatsapp offering me an opportunity to invest in bitcoin and earn twice your investment in no time, this guys confuses you with fake chat of others claiming to have been paid from the investment, which I knew where altered and I did the rightful thing by blocking the person.
I would like to call on newbies not to fall victim on social media in the name of investing in bitcoin
If you willing to invest in bitcoin you can get bitcoin wallet and go to an exchange where you can buy bitcoin and keep in your wallet, very easy.
Planning to double your money in a day through bitcoin on social media is at your own risk there is hardly such type of investment being genuine
We were told as children not to talk to strangers, and that advice didn't get so popular and been passed for decades or centuries for nothing. We need to stop giving away our trust easily and carelessly for we are most vulnerable when we are trusting and scammers and fakes are most powerful when they are trusted. Aside from making websites that are seemingly legitimate and useful, they also use their talent at convincing and lying to younso they can attack you with your emotions getting involved, so beware and don't trust strangers that talks about investing in crypto easily.

It's important to have a protocol regarding newbies that are getting interested in cryptocurrency to avoid common problems like that happens every time. Also, it's their priority to maintain observant before investing in such Ponzi schemes because, in the first place, they didn't search if the platform is legit. Ponzi scheme is already there since then, no matter what's the society is, there will be always scammed especially on the internet.

Newbies are the most prone to this kind of scam, seeing the posts that they made every time they landed on this forum, the newbie victim always asked for help on how to get back their funds. mostly nothing we can do to help them because the transactions are already confirmed and the scammers successfully transfer it to another address using Bitcoin Mixers. Mostly they fall to this when someone promised them that if they invest a big amount of money, they can make it double in one month or less. Don't fall to those kinds of sugar-coated words.

Degen in the Space
Ponzi schemes are easy to spot nowadays due to the sheer amount of related projects before that have gone down the hill and the never-ending low stakes, high reward business model which they use to lure in people, especially the newbies. Even though they are easy to spot, they still pop out every now and then around this forum and the newbs keep on investing due to the offers. In order to avoid such, my advice is to ask how would they make money and pay their investors, and if they answered the generic “we will invest this on X to gain Y amount” then you know they are not someone to be trusted with.
Well, newbies are the easiest people to scam after all. Not only newbies but rather ignorant ones that don't understand how legit projects actually work and progress from the start-up to them starting to profit. Rather than letting themselves succumb because of their lack of knowledge, I'd rather advise them to buckle up and study a lot, learn how to differentiate a scam from a legit one.

People are not born yesterday to give their money to a random guy promising you double even 100 times profit, if you fall on this one then you are a good samaritan giving away money to random guy who just pm, telegram are full of this, best way is to block them right away, your time is more precious than entertaining this.

If they came here provably they will not but what if they didn't know crypto and just invited by their sick friend who want to earn referrals? then that would be crazy right? and actually even till now there are still ponzi scattering and they level up since they put it on mlm and use the mining and crypto trading strategy to gather up those lazy newbies.

I don't take loans, ask for sig if I ever do.
Easy ways to know ponzi scheme is look their interest rates. If any financial investment offer 100%, 200% or higher ROI within a month, it's just a ponzi investment. So, stay away to invest from this kind investment service.
The higher the profit, the more likely it is to be a scam. Earning money was never easy so I doubt people don't understand that. Even the 100% ROI could make some people think twice before investing already, let alone the higher ones.

Getting a phone number is not too difficult for the like minded people. If you are a trader, you must have joined few whatsapp trading signal groups and your phone number is easily visible. Also people can send messages on random numbers hoping to get some victims.

You are probably right, the OP has publicly announced its telephone number somewhere, and that was certainly related to Bitcoin. I use WhatsApp before, but then I just switch completely on Viber, and so far I have had no problem with this type of communication. I am not sure is it possible to block unknown numbers to send you messages or to make a call, but I know it is possible to block any contact (even unknown number) just by open chat with that number and click on block. Such messages can also be reported as spam, so in that way we can help that such numbers become blacklisted, which means that other users will not be able to receive such messages.

Such scams are not related to just bitcoins. If any unknown person promises to multiply your money, even fiat/cash, then that's just obvious that you are going to get scammed.
I believe that most people in the current time are educated enough to differentiate what is true and what is scam.

This is a typical scam and you know what? they will use pictures that are obviously not owned by them. These scammers are trying hard and sadly there are still people that were scammed by them.

For the beginners that are reading this right now, learn to not to trust strangers quickly and don't believe their too good to be true promises.

I have been victim of such scam around two years back when I invested in a bank pool named Newage Bank. I got information from many youtubers that it is not a scam and is doubling the bitcoins in 10 days. I invest and got my money doubled. I then invested more money and then the site scammed and my money was lost.

So even if those people show screen shots that they are being paid or paying people, it will be only for limited time to gain trust and then they scam big.

Since you mentioned that Scammer asked you to invest in BTC, it means that you were negligent in maintaining the privacy of your number. It's hard to be random.
Prevention is better than cure, keep your privacy, your e-mail address, avoid visiting untrusted or random sites, avoid communicating with unknown people, and do not download any site from an unreliable source.
Greed and ignorance are the real reasons for the success of these scammers.

Bitcoin Casino Est. 2013
Con artist and scammers used the social media to do what they want which is to steal money from people especially those who lack knowledge about it like newbies. Whatsapp is not the only social media that is used to scam money from their victims, it also happen in telegram and other sites like google mail for example.
