Experienced players, mostly those that are using stake.com can not fall for this pretty scam. I call it pretty because it's kind of complicated in the sense that the ads is showing on the original telegram group of stake casino and there's no way the group admin can delete it or stop it from being there. Which means that anyone that has not used staked casino before or someone that is just new can actually believe it's real because it displayed there right on the original group.

True. A person with even the smallest working brain should see through these scam attempts. Sure it's kind of crazy to see this under official messages from stake but that's telegram for you. Everybody can buy these adds unfortunately.
Eddie also acknowledged this on stream and said because f these things they are considering looking for some new options to send out weekly/monthly/drops and other messages. Maybe via discord or whatever, who knows.

Telegram really doesn't to themselves a favor allowing this bs to happen.

Yes, they do. They're very common and that's why Telegram is raking money on these ads that they're popping on everyone's TG. So if people won't get premium, they'd see the ads popping at the bottom of the channel and this always.
I thought people that got the channel or group set the ads. I did not know it is Telegram that sets it to make money from people. Generally it is good to avoid ads not ads belonging to Telegram which they may even not know if the person that has the ad is a scammer or not should totally be avoided. I saw many signal ads there which has premium signals
It's basically the same as google ads that whoever makes the content don't set the ads that comes in to them and have control over the banners that shows to their content. So, it's the same as what telegram does to all of the channels. I agree, just avoid them in general. Whether they're shown by telegram, by a random stranger or even friends that you know using telegram.

Telegram should have a feature or a subscription of some kind where it lets the owner of the channel not get any ads or at least they can set what ads can be shown on their channel, doing this could prevent a lot of people from falling victim to sneaky scam ads like this one. but then again, Telegram is probably making a lot of money from these sponsored ads so I doubt they'll have this kind of feature for channel owners.

Those pesky ads need to be addressed immediately telegram. Not only Stake is affected by this scam scheme but literally every crypto project that has an ongoing airdrop or bonuses program.

IIRC even Dogs airdrop is affected by this scam ads since the official announcements channel of Dogs has some random scam ads related to earning more airdrop rewards despite the event was already over.

Scammer is taking advantage of telegram ads while telegram itself is allowing this scam ads just to force user to avail premium membership.

Honestly, greed is the most implicating thing that gets people easily scammed. The scammers banks on them and exploit people, especially lazy minded ones who tends to believe in something for nothing.
Not only lazy people can be scammed, also people that are not lazy can be scammed. To scam someone is not about the person being greedy also but greediness can make the scam more faster. What that makes people fall for scam is because of lack of knowledge. If they have knowledge about how scam are, they can easily avoid to be a scam victim. Knowledge is power.

It’s easy to spot if you know that there are some unusual activities that casinos do. I haven’t heard casinos do airdrops so that’s already a red flag.

Be careful and be vigilant in these types of things.
That's why many beginners are being targeted by these scammers. They're making a false airdrop invite or giveaways to gullible visitors that are seeing their ads. It's always important to check and verify all the details to the official links and not just with ads.

Thank you for the warning. We must be careful when we join a group on Telegram because many scammers are waiting for their target and scamming them without realizing. Even scammers can use the word "almost the same as the real one" so we must search for more to find the truth. I am worried about many new people who joined Telegram but they don't know where they started and are dragged to that scam offers which makes them get into a scam. When you see offers about something you are not sure, it is better you leave that but you can research further to know more so you can avoid the scam.

Unfortunately, advertising has recently appeared in completely harmless channels, where we should not expect it at all. I have seen advertising for both casinos and fraudulent bots in channels on baby food and education, that is, on completely different topics. What is worrying is that young people who are not yet familiar with such scams can very easily fall into the hands of scammers. For some reason, I am sure that Telegram does not regulate advertising only because it is interested in users using the paid version of the messenger. As we know, there is no advertising there.

this is an internal telegram advertising as pointed out. You can see similar promotion in ALL the groups you will use.
It is obvious that it is not Stake the responsible they have no fault which ads are shown on his channel.
I don't think this is so "sophisticated". the promotion itself is literally impossible and anyone of their support would just confirm immediately...

It will promise you a 1000% bonus with no wager,  fake stake token airdrop  or some other nonsense and will tell you to deposit through some Telegram bot which again will look and sound authentic. But make no mistake, you will never see your money again.[/b][/color]

Thanks for the warning, but as gamblers, we should know that anything too good to be true is 100% a scam. That’s why I don’t trust Telegram groups much - there are a lot of scammers there. Of course, Telegram is still a useful tool; we just need to be cautious to protect ourselves. Usually, those who fall victim to scammers are the uninformed and greedy. If you see offers like a 1000% bonus with no wagering requirements, that should be a huge red flag, and they need to convince themselves to just ignore it.
Honestly, greed is the most implicating thing that gets people easily scammed. The scammers banks on them and exploit people, especially lazy minded ones who tends to believe in something for nothing.

Something for doing nothing never works and even if it should work, it ends up working against the person involved. There is no level of verification of offers that are out of place. Such tempting offers should be validated even from stake customer care representative on their official site.

Very pitiable that people are yet to come to the terms that telegram is a fertile ground for both good and bad projects alike and every advert there should be taken with a pinch of salt, unless properly verified.

Stake does not have control over those ads. Eddie has mentioned many times on the Saturday stream for users not to click any of those ads as they are not safe. I'm sure if they could stop them from being in their posts they would. This is a telegram issue, not a Stake issue.
What you mean is that it is like those Google ad links which anyone that is making use of Google search engine can see on the top of the search engine. If that is how telegram works, that is very bad. Many people can be deceived because they will think that the airdrops are Stake airdrops. But it is not a surprise at all because Telegram is a place for scammers to do their work just like Google.

This is one thing I hate I about telegram. They should have done such security for each ads that wanted to use their services cause it might be a scam and just like what OP posted. It could risked some of the gamblers or users who got stake account.

Unfortunately, this has been around for a long time -even back when ICOs were popular in crypto, there were already a lot of scam Telegram groups. I think it’s a trade-off for the privacy we get since Telegram is designed to offer that, so they can’t filter all user activity. What we can do is educate ourselves on the types of scams found in these groups and make sure we learn how to spot red flags, like offers that seem too good to be true.

Just don't click them lol. If you want to know about some promos of a casino, visit the casino itself and look for it. They usually have bonuses in the front page posted so that they can attract more users. It's what I usually do. Besides, Telegram is a place full of ads like this. It's no surprise that someone would try and take advantage of gullible people. It might help though if Telegram started showing raw links so that users can easily see what site a button click goes to.

And I don't think there's anything Stake can do? Even if they repoted it's only a matter of time before another similar bot pops up lol.

Sponsored ad is one feature of social platforms that makes it very risky for users, because who would think an advert allowed to be displayed through such medium would be scam.

I didnt know that Telegram has ads like that? I never saw it even if I wasn’t Telegram premium before. Is that common nowadays?
Yes they got some ads lining up. Since I am using telegram for some free games there I always spotted some of these ads.

The new updates on Telegram are making it easy for scammers to find new patterns or strategies to scam people. To tell you the truth, many people have been scammed by this ad feature, Ad if OP had not shared this here, a lot of people from the forum might as well fall victim. However, I am just getting to know about the Ads feature. I rarely enter Telegram unless for official business that's why I wasn't aware of the update.

If you have an account at stake.com (which I am sure most of you use), you might be in their Telegram groups which give you authentic information about bonuses and various events related to stake.com. Today I have seen an ad on stake.com's official Telegram group which looks like the one below.
Do not click on it. It will lead you to a fake bot which looks original and authentic to a less careful eye. It will promise you a 1000% bonus with no wager,  fake stake token airdrop  or some other nonsense and will tell you to deposit through some Telegram bot which again will look and sound authentic. But make no mistake, you will never see your money again.
If you observe carefully OP, they target the weak countries or i would say countries that are more into gambling activities and don't have easy access to the stake platform. Indian was mentioned in the channel from the message i saw. And we all know they are into gambling. Also, most Indians are looking for easy way to earn money online, so which made them vulnerable to this kind of scams.

Thanks for bringing this up, I can only imagine how many people you would have saved from losing their money. I am seriously wondering how scammers able to post adds in their official Telegram group without being spotted by the admin of the group? This is worrisome because people will easily fall for this since it is posted in their official group where people believe that anything posted their is legit and from the team. People should just be careful out there as I already saw a red flag in the add which is the outrageous bonus that should make anyone to purse and think before acting.

I've checked it and it's true, something showed up and that's the same from what OP shared although with a different figure of promise. For those that are staying in telegram channel of stake and if you ever happen to bump with this kind of ad, there's the three dots on the side and should you see them, report ad.

I don't really follow up any information on telegram that easily because I know telegram are easily being manipulative therefore I urge you to follow Ann thread and, also do contact live support if you need any assistance or finding any difficulty across the site. The major reason why people falls flat on telegram is that they believe all post made there are from team and nothing can be do and of which I am  a less active user of telegram I can few information I needed to know after which I paused. Anyway thanks for sharing here.
