Thank you for bringing this information on board, because without informing the public some persons might be victims of the stuff, so I know very well concerning this kind of scam, because you will have in mind that you are dealing with stake.com not knowing that you are trading with scammers, that's why I don't like using telegram for anything, the information I got to the website is the one I seen as reliable and authentic one instead of believing on mushrooms information from social media where scammers has already made as a domain for them to defraud people by chance.
Telegram is mostly associated with a lot of scams, that is the reasons for me why I am really very careful with the application because lots of things are permitted there that should not be permitted. Your topic exactly matches description of this fraud because it is really sophisticated considering that even the stake team have no control over it even though they may have tried to take it off. There must be gamblers who have fallen for this scam and others who will fall for it because they have no information on it that it as a scam and it is sophisticated to deceive many people.

I doubt this Telegram account/channel is the official channel of Stake.com. The amount of profit gotten from the stake shareholders and developers is enough for them. I don't see any amount that would be gotten from this telegram scam that would change their lives. This is a scam coming from a group of individuals.

Any promo, new feature, or bonuses and giveaway that Stake.com would want to do will be announced on their official website. If you see such a thing, the first thing you ought to do is to visit their official site and find out if it's true. Any on telegram should not be believed completely or easily.

Thanks for the heads-up. I was aware there were advertisement in Telegram which were devious and could target people who were interested in the gambling ecosystem, just trying to mimic stake in order to push for a fishing canpaign in theit own group is going a step beyond, in my opinion.
It is an example of Telegram trying to keep itself in profit and self-run, but without caring about the authenticity of the things they allow to be advertised in their messaging app.
I am afraid this scam looks authentic  enough for hundreds of people to fall for it and lose their money to scammers.
Hopefully someone will report the ads as malicious and Telegram moderators will take it down before scammers continue to accumulate money of gullible victims.

The supposed warning op is trying to give isn't directly from the official site of stake.com but from telegram and that's what makes the difference. As a matter of fact I have been coming across different ads of this kind on telegram channels I visit and any gambler ought to know that stake has no connection with such ads therefore ignoring them shouldn't be too hard a thing to do.

Always make sure to access the stake platform through the official site stake.com it shouldn't be a hard thing to do in order to save us all from avoidable scam shit.

Always you see a hidden link like that, don't click on it directly with left click. Rather, right click and then copy the raw link. Next, paste the link on your browser bar, but don't confirm it through enter button yet.

This way you can check if the link belongs to the official website before accessing it. This fraud attempt is also pretty common through emails claiming you have won a prize or is in debt with a bank or the government.

I suggest you to never click directly any links people send to you, even if it's a close person, because they might have been hacked.

Moreover, always suspect offers which are too good to be true. This has been always a golden rule which protected me from many dangers in this crypto industry since the early days.

That's from telegram itself.

Don't click on those 'ads' because the channel of stake doesn't have anything to do with it. It seems that the algorithm for that ad has been placed exactly on their channel.

But I think that there's sort of ad for every channel you visit and it's coincidence that you've seen it on the actual channel of stake.

Stake does not have control over those ads. Eddie has mentioned many times on the Saturday stream for users not to click any of those ads as they are not safe. I'm sure if they could stop them from being in their posts they would. This is a telegram issue, not a Stake issue.

I recently went back to TG and these ads can be annoying lol. From my experience, most I've seen are scummy just like any other ads from big social media platforms-- guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'm pretty sure the gullible folks have already been scammed.

I wish there is a FOSS front-end or something to block these ads as I don't think i'd be opting to premium just to block them lol. It might be worth the investment for the gullible and prone to misclicks fellas who uses tg a lot though.

You can check the monthly users and you can see that the bot despite advertised through their official channel it is a scam. As tech savvy which most of us using Bitcoin here and other crypto wallets and gambling with such resources we can easily identify such scams, of course I talk about us with a lot of experience in such things and not newcomers which may fall for such scam so the warning is always good.

Stake never cheats their way, it is against their interest, they have lately as been identified by many users and also made warnings about them in the change of RTP as they were forced to introduce new games with enhanced RTP from series never having it, like the Big Bass series in slot machines, at least the warnings have served for something, but as for such cheating they have never done that and I doubt they will ever do.

Sponsored ad is one feature of social platforms that makes it very risky for users, because who would think an advert allowed to be displayed through such medium would be scam. Currently, with the ton coin anybody could place ads on telegram, which is not healthy. It's high time these tech companies focused on crosschecking ads, winnow out malicious looking contents then publish the legitimate ones.

Unfortunately, they care much on the funds and satisfying advertisers, other than safeguarding viewers who could trust the ads published for swindlers.

It will promise you a 1000% bonus with no wager,  fake stake token airdrop  or some other nonsense and will tell you to deposit through some Telegram bot which again will look and sound authentic. But make no mistake, you will never see your money again.[/b][/color]

Thanks for the warning, but as gamblers, we should know that anything too good to be true is 100% a scam. That’s why I don’t trust Telegram groups much - there are a lot of scammers there. Of course, Telegram is still a useful tool; we just need to be cautious to protect ourselves. Usually, those who fall victim to scammers are the uninformed and greedy. If you see offers like a 1000% bonus with no wagering requirements, that should be a huge red flag, and they need to convince themselves to just ignore it.

If you have an account at stake.com (which I am sure most of you use), you might be in their Telegram groups which give you authentic information about bonuses and various events related to stake.com. Today I have seen an ad on stake.com's official Telegram group which looks like the one below.
Do not click on it. It will lead you to a fake bot which looks original and authentic to a less careful eye. It will promise you a 1000% bonus with no wager,  fake stake token airdrop  or some other nonsense and will tell you to deposit through some Telegram bot which again will look and sound authentic. But make no mistake, you will never see your money again.
