Beware! You are not safe if you are using facebook

because facebook is a network which is managed by CIA, and not only CIA, there are many more agencies those are tracking you, including all of your activities, and furthermore, facebook does not care about your privacy, last year, facebook sold 250+ million users data.
I think if you are sharing your personal information online at any social networking site then you are not at all safe. It was just that facebook was caught rest of the sites have been doing this and have never been caught. I don't think it is managed by CIA but yes CIA might have access to complete data of users. Because if they are sharing this data with advertisers so easily chances are they are sharing it with authorities too.

Ps: Moreover I don't think this should be in trading discussion?

well, bored , that a old news .
i knew exactly what mark do with my account  Grin
but well, i still using it, because ,to be honest, i needed for day life , i mean like group for buying/selling something.
also chating friend from another country.
as long i still using fake data on my facebook, i guess I have nothing to lose.

In any app and social media, we should be careful if we don't want our personal info to be known by those criminals that they will use for illegal activities, well, I am not that quite into facebook too, most of the time I am just using messenger to keep in touch with my friends and relatives, other than that, I don't usually post my activities, and don't upload much of my photo. From now on, will not use my personal photo anymore too and will delete my albums as well as some of my personal info written in my Bio.

Thanks for the info, I thought facebook is safe place to keep our pictures that we can check from time to time especially when we are already old, we can just scanned facebook and to mesmerize the memories we had. Anyway, I seldom posting my personal life now, I keep it private as I don't want people to talk about me, I am just ignoring those click bait app, because it might hack my account, so I am very careful with it.
The main point here is that no matter how you hide your information to the public, the government and agencies already know it if you put too much information on your profile. If you saw the video of Mark Zuckerberg answering all the questions thrown at him on the news then you would probably know that facebook is not really safe to store your personal information.

I have been using Facebook for 10 years and I guess our information and activities would only be at risk if we don't know how to put limits especially in sharing our personal stuff. Linking our wallets in our facebook messenger will also be a big risk. Everything depends on how we use it. It still depends on how we handle our accounts.

In handling our facebook account, all sorts of important information must be observed tightly and won't be neglected. Most important details like passwords and confidential data should be avoided to prevent your important details be compromised. As a user we're responsible for the safety of our identity, and disclosure of real identity shouldn't be followed because that's one way of a hacker to find more interesting with your personal data, if you're too transparent with yourself on  facebook posts.

I'm aware of this, that is why I seldom post all my pictures on Facebook and only use it to get news from pages that I liked, but there's a lot of benefits too like you can connect to all your relatives abroad, one big issue is the many fake news on facebook that if you are not aware of it you will be lost.
There are too many happenings in facebook , actually I got only updated in news due to facebook and just only check if its legit by researching it. Though privacy is really at risk in facebook so it will depend now on us how we wan our self to be private, keep personal and don't tell everything that is happening in you especially in crypto unless your promoting a project. It can also be used as buy and sell thru it's marketplace. It have lot's of benefits except the privacy so be careful.
Since I personally heard about this story of my privacy with Facebook is at risk I had limited my attention to that social media this comment by the OP reemphasizing the fact that CIA are also involved in accessing users private information, I rarely post any comment there nowadays because of tracking and revealing all my information.

Nowadays, a lot of users in social media have a detailed informations on their facebook account in which a huge of possible that they are not safe especially those influential people in the society. As our government emphasized and made a privacy act as will able to protect out detailed informations. In some cases, in the end users must be attentive and be aware all the time since many bad people here in cyberworld.

I started to think about this when Facebook is trying to update your profile.
They want more information about you. That is already a signal that something is being cooked which could not be nice.
Although I doubt the CIA is a part of them, it could be used for looking at relatives and photos.
Yes, the CIA could do that. It will be a problem for Mark if he wont give them the information specially when a large criminal or a syndicate is being traced.

Lucky for those who dont have any account with Facebook.

So we have to be careful with what we uploaded to the social media, i think all social media are saving everything that we uploaded to the internet except telegram (people said telegram is the safest social media or char apps right now) , and no more secret that facebook is selling people informations. Don't upload sensitive things in social media and keep our life as a secret, many people right now are having social media syndrome and record everything that they do in a day and uploaded it on social media to get attentions.

Not only Facebook but also every social network and digital communication must be harmful to us, but we don't have any another way to make communication among ourselves, I think it's a mandatory use both Facebook and Google, you can't avoid them so they will collect our data whatever they want, most important thing is that this online platform is no longer private and yours, our everything in detail must be stored by the big fishes so there is nothing to do with this system, if you want to communicate with the world then you must use this system, already they have got our everything so it's too late dude.

Then what? Even if you do warn up people they would still make use of this platform.Come to think even just complying some documentations on real-life already exposes up your identity.

then only the foolish people will use facebook because when you are not safe, how you can expect that your funds are safe?
Okay so you are concerning about how Facebook monitoring the whole activity in your life huh ? Include how they could access into your wallet , into your funds ... is that you are worrying about?

You are overthinking... they have no ability to do that. Just because Facebook big scandal about selling data to cambridge analytica few years ago leaked , doesn't mean they are able to watching its sliders entirely, their privacy policies is indeed vulnerable and lots of work to do especially there's rumours recently that hundreds software have improperly accessed user data.

A big warning indeed but your concern is exaggerated.

Not only facebook tracking your activities even google does it if you want to be more private then the best solution is to stay offline because your identity is at risk if you are online even your location will be easily traced by this applications and we cannot do anything about this abuse right now just dont put your sensitive data on social media platforms especially facebook.

Honestly, privacy is an individualized thing. If you truly wanted to remain private, you would throw your phone and computer out the window, The fact is millions and billions will continue to use Facebook, but maybe a bit of privacy education would help. You can use Facebook and not also leak your nude pictures online. Everyone has a different threat model, so posting this "uninstall Facebook" stuff everyday doesn't help when it's considered necessary to interact with friends and family. Instead, we should be teaching friends and family how to use certain privacy settings to better protect themselves.

After all i haven't heard of any of my friends or family quitting Facebook. Some never had an account, mostly because their spouse does and they get news through that. Some mostly lurk, don't post much. Haven't heard any of them expressing big concerns about FB privacy. I think that (like me) they assume anything they post will not be private.

It ain't new anymore.
That is why I envy those people who haven't even tried to sign up with that social media network.
I hope I did too.

Somehow I can control how much I use that application, mostly it is just for advertisement and updates on necessary groups.
But if you could really not rely on it then it would be better.
There is a catch though, be anonymous. Do not fill up everything with your real name and dont upload photos of you.
I just hope they dont block your account.

We are already exposed unless you change you identity or pretend to be dead and get another one. Maybe the ones you should warn first are the people who never used facebook in their entire life or never had engage were identity and private documents are needed. They are maybe old folks or the some children who might actually make an account on facebook, but I guess your warning will not reach them first as facebook and other apps are famous and known than bitcointalk.
