Are there power dissipation estimations for any of the ASIC products available ?
Not yet, I'm afraid to post simulation results as they may be wrong.
AFAIK, our competitors didn't published their expectations too. But at least we know that it will be better than 45 nm FPGAs Smiley

Actually Bitfountain did publish their expectations:

Update

After further optimization and some trade-offs, we came up with this updated estimation results based on our improved design.

Hashrate: 1.00GH/s per chip
Area: 21.7mm^2 per chip
Power Consumption: 8.23W

Again remember that they are estimated from the RTL design and might have some differences to real products.

I did the math:

BTCFPGA bASIC $1069.99 ÷ 27GH = $39.63/GH
1 year warranty
projected to ship in November/December of 2012

BFL Single 'SC' $1299.00 ÷ 40GH = $32.48/GH
6 month warranty
projected to ship in October of 2012

but yes, competition is good.

BFL has changed their delivery date to late October/early November, FYI:

These are contradictory by a magnitude. Tycho, you say 35 USD per GH/s on this thread and 32 BTC per GH/s on the russian thread.
That 1 GH/s value was quoted from some older conversation. I said "$320 per GH/s seems reasonable when no BFL products are available".

Actual prices and performance figures are stated in the first message, and it's from $2800 for 80 GH/s (most effective) down to $320 for 4 GH/s (least effective).

Bonds are traded via icbit.se at ~$300 per Gh/s as "DB.RCLMR". The price is justified by the "absence of competition" (in real life).
Your numbers are a bit off.
It's closer to ~$35 per GH/s for the biggest device. The smallest one is more expensive, but still very far from ~$300 per Gh/s.

I apologize for misinformation. I got carried away with some of the posts in the referenced thread and did not check Tycho's post carefully. Also, my Russian sucks.

So...are you going to be selling these after you mine with them.Thats the drift I'm getting after reading that thread.Because it sounds like your designing them for data center installs.

Or,buy bonds=buying product & receive when ready for shipping  Huh
No, I'm not going to mine on them (at least not in any other sence than a normal user).
Bonds were created for collecting pre-payments only and they will be exchanged for products.

Very interesting,so they may be ready by feb of 2013.I'm looking forward to more info  Cool

Thanks Tycho  Grin

These options have not been checked on finished products, but performance is not guaranteed base product below.
This part is almost completely opposite.
It says "guaranteed not to be below published perfomance for base product".

Any news about largecoin ASIC project?

Nope, but I did just stumble across this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/deepbit-reclaimer-asics-104680 Cheesy

Is this out of the blue? I don't recall hearing anything about deepbit asics.

Hasn't been announced in English yet shh Tongue

But seriously, am I the only one that attempts to read the other-languaged forum?

i just tried via google translate. ...yea... i'm gonna have to wait for an english announcement.

Reservation is by purchasing special "securities" on the trading floor https://icbit.seAfter the announcement of the start of serial production, four bond could be exchanged for one basic unit-Reclaimer One.For other models, respectively, more bonds.

(price valid when you purchase through predzakaze bonds)These options have not been checked on finished products, but performance is not guaranteed base product below.

Bonds are sold at our trading site https://icbit.se in the Exchange, the name of the tool-DB.RCLMRTo purchase bonds, you must enter bitkojny directly or buy them on the spot for dollars or rubles. US dollars are accepted through vouchers VouchX exchanger AurumXchange, and rub-through QIWI. eggs automatically crediting.Pool accounts transactions are accepted without waiting for evidence of DeepBit.

I used this   http://www.bing.com/translator/

EDIT:
A hint in English:

Soon our Reclaimer project bonds will be available - another way of investing in ASIC and the Bitcoin future Smiley

(Well, actually they are already available, but not announced yet)

EDIT2: my original claim of ~$300 per Gh/s was wrong, and I apologize. It was based on some of the comments in the referenced thread, not on what Tycho officially stated or restated.

Looking good cablepair  Grin

Price is spot on with BFL,or close enough for me & the warranty is great  Wink

Now will he be offering the buyback (trade in) like BFL does??? He was talking about it,If so,then a really great deal for his old customer base too  Cool

BFL can more easily account for their trade-in value since it apparently has the higher perforamnce Stratix III chips. And maybe they will finally use those to develop the other products that they seem to imply existing, but yet don't seem to exist going by the dead links on their website:

e.g.  http://www.butterflylabs.com/drivers/

1.Computational research
2.Medical imaging
3.Packet integrity verification
4.Generic fingerprinting engine

If they don't exist, they should remove those link, imo. It feels like an attempt to create a better impression of the company than actual accomplishments.

Anyway, BFL Singles doubled in price from FPGA to ASIC. This bASIC 27GH product will be the same price as the older FPGA product. But still the price is higher than BFL pound for pound.
