Addresses are public, but typically no one knows which one or ones you are linked to,
Once you know someone is linked to an address then you can use the explorer and look up:
how much money they currently have in that address, how much has been sent and received,
and the full transaction history, you can dig deeper and find out what other addresses may be linked to the address.
This is why I am a fan of coins with privacy features, and because BiblePay is a fork of DASH, we have it's Private Send / Coin Mixing functionality!
https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/8avfaj/privatesend_coin_mixing_denominations_increased/Thanks!--> just discovered about explorer from reply from macko20 when he posted his address. Pretty neat! Yes I've noticed the Private Send feature, and thanks for the Reddit link!
Its mostly true about Rosetta, we are basically using the CPID and Magnitude as a pow botnet buster, by requiring a valid signed CPID and for the miner to be in the last superblock (with magnitude) in order to effectively heat mine. The exception is if the block is over 15 mins old then anyone can mine.
So yes, you have to have a CPID that started receiving payments and then your RAC technically lasts about 30 days or so before diminishing to a miniscule amount, so you could technically run Rosetta@Home a couple days and month and heat mine fully per month, if you really wanted to do that, but its a lower ROI than cancer mining.
Ok, appreciate the clarification. Now I just have dissect your answer to fully understand the jargon, but I get the gist of it. Well, off to back up my Biblepay wallet now.
Again, thanks guys.
