Okay, I was looking at the wrong alphanumeric string for my CPID, they actually ARE the same for me for RAH and WCG 

I can see both showing up in the pool too 

As long as your WCG "cross_project_id" ends up changing to your RAH cpid in the WCG web portal (settings page), then you will get credit for both.

Btw, I added the WCG RAC column to the pool superblock view report.

If you want to allow both RAH and WCG on 1 PC just run this on working machine:

If you want to work only on WCG, work with slovakia's guide.
But for really clean uninstall of boinc use this:
This will remove also all user files and downloaded tasks from HDD

Is there guidance for attaching WCG to a linux machine (no gui) that is already crunching RAH?

I'm going to make a bold assertion:

To allow your WCG CPID to be updated to your FAH CPID in the WCG portal:

- Ensure your WCG e-mail matches your FAH e-mail address (case sensitive! So ensure it matches exactly)
- Attach WCG to a machine that is already crunching FAH
- Wait up to 24 hours
- Check the WCG portal 24 hours later

Thats it!  I believe this plan will work for everyone.

If you receive an error "e-mail address already in use" you will need to e-mail WCG and ask them for the account *name* that is holding the e-mail record, and log into that *old* wcg account and modify the e-mail there, or change it there (and then it will free it up for re-use again).

Note:  The people who have temporarily bad CPIDs are either due to case sensitivity issues, or the portion of the MD5 that is under the hood of boinc home client, which will update automatically within 24 hours after you solve a task, meaning the above plan should work for everyone.

I added the "WCGRac" column to the Pool superblock view report.  Now you can see what the sancs see for your WCG RAC component.

Now the next priority is to find an efficient way to update our CPID in the WCG portal.

The Sanctuary only pulls in WCG RAC that matches your RAH CPID....  Please keep that in mind.

Checking the pool for all proposals added within the last 2 days, I do not see a new proposal.

I went ahead and deleted the two that didnt win since gobject id no longer valid, so now we have a clean slate.


Please post any error message here that you receive when you try to enter it.

If you can attach WCG to *one* machine that is already running Rosetta, and solve a WCG task, you might get your CPID updated inside WCG's web portal, that is the goal, so yes Id do one for now.  But I would wait on installing WCG on every machine until your CPID matches RAH.

I e-mailed WCG, and shes looking into it.

Looking at Sanc01 (thats the one the Pool pulls in the contract from), which is running the latest code, I do see we have pulled in about 337 RAC from WCG on your row. 

Let me go ahead and add a feature to the pool to show the WCG RAC field, hang on....

Ok thanks, so for all who have already matched the e-mail with RAH's e-mail yet have a different Cross-Project-ID than RAH:

This is a complicated subject, so we need to simplify this.  Let me go for the Most simple solution first, then we deal with the aftermath:

- A boinc rule exists that deals with shuttling the CPID of the users oldest project Into the externalCPID field in the network, and then allowing that cpid to be honored as the "Cross-project-id" in WCG when the conditions are met.  Let's go with meeting these conditions first.
- The conditions are:  You have RAH running (or any *older* boinc project running) on the machine already - with the proper master CPID in the older account
- You attach World Community Grid *after* the master project is attached to the same machine
- You solve a work unit in WCG
- 24 hours passes
- BOINC updates your CPID in WCG to match your primary master CPID

Note that I tried this about 16 hours ago, and mine has still not been updated, but I may not have waited long enough, so lets not give up yet.

In the mean time, just add your WCG account and let it build up some rac.  Ill investigate the transition of ExternalCPID->CPID.

One other thing Im going to investigate today is BAM, Boinc Account Manager, we can check to see if this option allows any accelerated rule changes.

CPID is not the same on WCG using same email address as RAH. So no point in attaching boinccmd to my WCG account because any credit will not count unless I have the same CPIDs?
