https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7esc05/mobile_wallet/

Slovakia are you interested to take lead on this?

Anyone else want to jump on this?

We need a mobile wallet if we want to spread BiblePay through 3rd World Countries

I contacted webster 5 days ago and haven't heard back.
i found DEV for MOBILE/PHONE WALLET for us ..

Thanks for your invitation!

I had a look on your biblepay as forums and donation, and yes this is something I can handle at my end, as I have done the similar task for forums building years back.

Please advise me when we can have a meaningful conversation about your requirements.

Regards,
Ankur

Have him email me:  [email protected]

Great news!

BLOOM WORLDWIDE has created the Bios for our 13 new children and they have been entered in the Pool.

We are now helping 203 Orphans Worldwide!

Please see:
, click on Orphans | Sponsored Orphan List  to see the new orphans in Sierra Leone and Uganda!
I don't know if it is only my problem but I'm not able to see Rania's "view" info. I see only his picture but without any info. Others orphans from bloom are good (with bloom page included in frame).

Fixed.

Wonderful news, Rob! I was wondering, is it possible with Compassion or Bloom to get some kind of a report to see how are the sponsorships improving the lives of those children?

However I do think we could integrate with coinomi, that is one possibility.  Jaap if you or someone here would like to volunteer to talk to Coinomi and see if they will work with us, I will help us integrate with them.

Heres the coin list of supported coins:

Sure, I'll contact Coinomi Smiley I heard some good things about their wallet (they make it easy to split for example BCH from BTC). I just installed it and it seems pretty lightweight. There is some advertising the in app itself, but that's not a dealbreaker in my opinion. I'll write them a mail, hope for the best, and keep the community updated.

I'm using Coinomi on my phone. It's easy, lightweight and support multi coins. It's easy to add or remove coin, exporting private keys is without problem too. It is perfect solution for me.

Is the main pool down?  I am not listed in the leaderboard, and I am not showing as any reward either.  I have three workers showing hps though.
On a side note Ive been working with the host for 40 hours now, the ticket resolutions have been basically a joke, but I now have an actual engineer talking to me about the root of the problem.  Ill reboot it now.  Ill make a post if they actually fix the issue.

PS - Its not a performance problem.  The server is only 50% loaded.  Its an issue with the hardware the pool landed on, its a bios setting.  Were working on it right now.

I fully agree we need a mobile wallet before trying to get a foothold in 3rd World Countries. Sadly, I have absolutely zero experience in this field.

Also will someone download and evalulate the actual app for mobile?  If its not worth it, let us know if we should go with mobile electrum instead.  We really should focus on features for the unbanked, so it needs to be nimble enough for a third world user to use it.  I think with our Rosetta unbanked miner, the mobile will really only need to store and spend funds.

My dream is to be a self-made billionaire
~
I think we need to attract a grass-roots blockchain programmer, who likes our project who has a little experience with Electrum in the past.  We need someone with the expertise to start an electrum server, port electrum mobile for biblepay, test in testnet and get it running and hand it off to our community.
Yes, the project should have more developers to keep it on track and move to higher levels. Current team of devs should hire more developers whom has specific skills that needed for several upcoming products of BiblePay. Devs are human and have limited energy to work, so in a word more devs are necessary for the project in long-term.

I think Webster might have moved on.  He was very gung ho about it but with our weak budget I have a feeling he went to other things.  We can double check..  Webster?

Anyway here are my feelings:  I think we need to attract a grass-roots blockchain programmer, who likes our project who has a little experience with Electrum in the past.  We need someone with the expertise to start an electrum server, port electrum mobile for biblepay, test in testnet and get it running and hand it off to our community.

I dont think we can go with hourly contracting firms for this as they are $200 an hour and have no clue what they are doing (although, a specialized Mobile Turnkey solution for X bitcoins is possible - through a specialist consulting firm yes).

However I do think we could integrate with coinomi, that is one possibility.  Jaap if you or someone here would like to volunteer to talk to Coinomi and see if they will work with us, I will help us integrate with them.

The other possibility is asking out there:  Are there any mobile wallet developers that would like to join us, that have experience in Electrum?

Could somebody explain why BBP mining has a huge data consumption and what is included in this data? Second question in camparism how much data consuption has new rosetta mining?

Pripadne vlastne cislo z vlastnej statistiky?
pozri si statistiky ludi,su tam hore v liste projekty: dokonca vies obmedzit CPU,RAM,TRAFFIC a na BBP preto spotreba dat=lebo to robia NODEs

But I think getting on a bigger exchange (requiring multiple rounds of funding maybe), will be more beneficial than being on a bigger number of smaller exchanges.

Agreed, I think this is a goal we should pursue next. Also, let's not forget about the Next.exchange, maybe we will get there (which is for free) and maybe it will turn out to be a big popular exchange. Those are two maybes, but still. Smiley

I thought that maybe it's an idea to start a newsletter (when we have our new website),
to inform people not only about updates, but also about our roadmap and new charities etc.

This is an amazing idea, I love it! There could be a blog on the website with news and articles about BiblePay and then something like a biweekly or a monthly newsletter which sums up all the great things which have been done over the past few weeks! And the articles could be about learning about BiblePay, and for every newsletter, apart from links to some articles, there could also be a short form "Did you know?" segment, for example "Did you know that you can send prayers from the BiblePay wallet?".

I like the 'Did you know?', because indeed, for example the 'prayer request' and 'repent for sin' functions are something I never really looked into before. I looked at it yesterday, and I still don't really now how the prayer request works (you tick the box, and the 'send message' box is turned into a prayer in the wallet?).

But that's the thing: there are a lot of things about Biblepay that have a lot of potential, but I think it's key that these get developed and brought into the light more. For example, I really like the Biblepay University. Giving BBP is a great incentive for people to take the tests (it's just the way it is), and while they do it, they learn more about the Bible. Spreading the gospel is one of the core values of Biblepay, so that's really neat. If we find someone who is good at making quizzes, and willing to put in the hours (in exchange for BBP or on a voluntary basis), I think that would also be a nice feature to have for our newsletter. For example, we could ask a multiple choice question in the newsletter, and when you click the answer you go directly to the Biblepay University.

On the prayer feature, if you check the prayer checkbox and enter a prayer (in the message field), the prayer is advertised for one week on the overview page in the bottom left.  Its designed to allow the whole network to be prayer warriors for real causes.  (IE someone in your family has cancer and we all pick up on it and pray for them).  Btw, you can either send BBP to yourself or if you click send to foundation- it goes into the (compassion) orphan wallet.

It will be fixed today in testnet so we can test in the PODC thread.
