Okay, I need two people for the shared MN as two don't respond that were originally on the list.
The entry fee is 155k bbp and gets you 9.9% revenue of mn paid weekly. It will come with a payment and revenue specification in excel mailed to you.
Please contact me here or Joel on discord or slack.
We need these 2 spots filled asap.

I would have a hard time sending that amount of BBP to anyone just based off of a post and a promise.

Have issue with MN
Gives error   "status": "Not capable masternode: Masternode not in masternode list"
when typing ./biblepay-cli masternode status

Any solution?

Wow! Really impressed. I like the simplicity and layout. And the pool has found it's first block Smiley

Thx a lot Cheesy

And wow, already a block? That was fast, I think it is pure luck, as there is not that much hash power on the pool yet Grin

Small note here: The block must mature before any payout can be done, as the original pool, the purepool waits 24 our before the block is seen as mature.
The bbp in your miner statistic will be added when the block is matures, and send to your address on the next payout (1x a day). There is no visible "Immature" state for the coins for the miner. It seemed pointless to me.
But all solutions send it before the block was found are now already marked with the block, so the system knows who worked on that block Smiley

Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
So it you get a Watchdog error after running MN for a week or so what is the normal process of fixing it?
I simply rebooted the VPS and started wallet then watchdog command. Would that work? It's been up for 2 days Ok now.
Just wondering for next time if there is an easier way.

Thanks!

The main thing to try is to ensure the watchdog command from the wiki (create_sanctuary) is in the cron, and go to command line and type it the same way its in the cron and verify no error occurs.  Also ensure the account that runs the watchdog is the same run that runs biblepayd.

If that passes, next time a watchdog occurs, just reboot biblepayd, and type'masternode status', it should say started. Watchdog is designed to recover by itself after a few hours.

(As long as its in the cron).

Hi everybody,

with PoDC making good progress, the following news might not be very important, but still, here it is:

A new pool is online! Cheesy

As promised, I worked on my own pool software, and today I can announce the public beta of the pool. Hope it is usefull in the short time before PoDC goes live.

URL: https://www.purepool.org/

The Pool works quite different from the current one:

1. The pool is design to be very minimalistic. It is ONLY a pool, and nothing more.

2. There are no logins. You identify with a valid bibleplay address, plus an optional worker name.
Example 1: workerid=yQwwRT4NtwBw442eyz37NYTYzyfwxiHLk1
Example 2: workerid=yQwwRT4NtwBw442eyz37NYTYzyfwxiHLk1/MyWorkerName

It can be any biblepay address, it doesn't need to belong to the biblepay mining client itself. But his is the address for the payouts, so it should be one of your addresses! If the address is invalid, no payouts will be done.

You only need to add the pool to your biblepay.conf and set the workerid and start working. That's it.
URL for the biblepay.conf: https://pool.purepool.org/

Hope you all will like the pool. I'm looking forward to your feedback Cheesy

Wow, this is quite an amazing feat!  Ill check it out ASAP too.

On https://www.purepool.org/main/howtojoin/ point 3 there should be pool=https://pool.purepool.org instead of pool=http://pool.purepool.com.

You are right, I will fix that. THX

What does getmininginfo on the miner says?
What is your workerid?

OK I found it.

On https://www.purepool.org/main/howtojoin/ point 3 there should be pool=https://pool.purepool.org instead of pool=http://pool.purepool.com.

I have just copy pasted that and thats why it was not working.

Thanks.

Peer Review

Rob Andrija, Founder, is currently writing a White Paper on Proof-Of-Distributed-Computing, and evaluating the core algorithms with the chair of network security for Ruhr University, (Martin Grothe). When complete, Rob will publish in Professionals of Grid Computing in the Journal of Grid Computing, Communication Networks for peer review.

Rob will then recommend the paper be reviewed by David P. Anderson, PhD, Computer Sciences, UC Berkeley Space Science Lab, creator of Berkeley Open Infrastructure Network Computing Grid.

Hi Guys,

I saw this on the Biblepay wiki. When is the review scheduled to happen?

Should be in about 90 more days, still working on 3 papers.  Then need to add a proposal to expense the fees, etc, that has to be approved then we can submit it.

One thing about the (general) statistics page: the graph for blocks found has a strange y-axix (why would the value ever be < 0?). Wink

Not sure why the graph-library did it that way, but it might change when some blocks are found Smiley
It is a standard library I used there, didn't want to reinvent the wheel.

Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
I was just reviewing the outgoing orphan letters and deleting any that didnt pass the morals standards and ethics test, and I found a few problems this month.

Starting with the worst:
Do not write anything to the child that leads the child to sin, such as "I like to practice magic or witchcraft".

Voodoo, magic, witchcraft is a sin, and will lead you to hell:
http://jesus-christ.us/Sins.htm
(SEE #6 witchcraft: the practice of witches; occultic magic: Ouija boards, astrology, palmistry, necromancy, divination, etc.; also likened to rebellion.)

Instead write about Jesus approved topics.

The next issue is again we have a group of 9 people upvoting their own letters by creating 9 distinct accounts.  They have all been deleted, and I deleted the letters written by these people because they are all the same (with no heart, more like:  Hi Sweetie its me from Turkey, I hope you are having a 2018, the country is beautiful, with a barrage of questions the child will never be able to answer).  Please make most letters unique and if you use a template please add something unique that touches the heart of the child, this is not about writing the max letters count or making money this is about true 1:1 communication.

The last problem I noticed is some people just ask questions and put all the onus on the child and dont say anything about themselves, its too burdensome it would be a feat to even answer the first 3 questions for the child.

Other than that it looks pretty good: Sending.

Awesome, Lichtsucher, thanks a bunch! Looks nice and clean and up to now seems to work perfectly.

I immediately reverted all the machines I could manage now from the original pool to your pool, in general I think they occured in my personal statistics after no more than 2 minutes, although these are small miners.
One thing about the (general) statistics page: the graph for blocks found has a strange y-axix (why would the value ever be < 0?). Wink

Let's see how many users we can bring there and when the first block hits. Smiley

URL for the biblepay.conf: https://pool.purepool.org/

3. The pool is sending out the bbp 1x a day, when a user has enough bbp on the pool
Minimum: 10bbp on the main network
Indeed, that will only happen after block are found. The block needs to mature for 24 hours before you see any bbp in your personal statistics.

4. The Pool counts the valid shares, there is no hps2
The more valid shares compared to user miners on the pool, the more bbp you get from the bbp of a found block.

5. You can see your shares by entering your biblepay address you used in the workerid in the input field on the frontend
Url: https://www.purepool.org/
(it might take some minutes until your statistics are available after you started mining with the pool)
Example: https://www.purepool.org/main/miner/BE3dpTFgNcTxtXA1U6dLd8jBBhU3HKT96B/

6. There are no pool fees at the start
The pool might have bugs

More Information
The pool will get more statistics, for the start, there is no leaderboard.

The source code will be released in the next 2 weeks, but before that, the pool must be tested and be stable. I don't want to see multiple broken pools popup in a short time, that wouldn't help anybody.
The software itself is based on python (django for the frontend), can use any major database, but it required memcache, a message queue (I use rabbitmq), celery, a wsgi-compatible webserver (I use apache) and a good security architecture (it is design to run on a 3-server setup: frontend, database, task-server). It is tested on Linux, but still don't expect it to be super easy to setup. A good setup takes it time.

I already use the pool with my own servers, but they are not that powerfull, so don't be surprised that they alone hadn't found a block yet Wink

Hope you all will like the pool. I'm looking forward to your feedback Cheesy

Cool. We are currently in the top 100 and we are only testing!
If/when we go live, we can give Gridcoin a run for their money! Imagine, we could get top spot...

Wish I had a VGA cable so I can actually set these up....

Didn't see that one coming.

Ha! I'm using G6's.  How much were your G7s?  I'm getting 6 on a 20A circuit without pushing it too much.
It's waaay cheaper to buy than to mine right now.
We should actually come out with a website that estimates the cost per biblepay to mine say using $5 per month VPS so we could publish a mining floor price and inspire buyers/investors to buy when the price is below the mining floor price or mining breakeven.

They were $139 each with free shipping. I also have a DL385 G7 coming that's AMD. I want to do a comparison because for some reason the DL385 gets 2~3 times the credits according to boincstats.com but on cpubenchmark.net, it's actually 30% faster.
