setting up a pool looks like a pain.

How do you get 27% from 17%?

Oh so you are really on Adrianbits team?

I didnt see any thanks when the pool fees were dropping .01% per day and got down to .04%...

It's important to remember the pool software is open for anyone to run a pool.  And how many pools do we have?  Two, the Dev's original and a secondary pool at MinersofMen.com  Running a pool, if it is as profitable as you allude, would be a far better investment than Sanctuaries, but somehow we have 72 Sanctuaries and only, oh yeah, TWO pools.  So either everyone here is brain dead (in which case, you're wasting your time to educate us) or pools are NOT so lucrative.

Sorry, Comparison of running a Pool or a Masternode is imo like Apples and Pears.

My (technical)view of running a Sanctuary is thats nearly equal to run a Wallet/Miner via Commandline on a vultr Box.
For the Pool you need a Windows Server reachable from the Internet. imo a security Nightmare.

Id appreciate it if you guys could check this out, as this is what I suspect, as Im still working on the pool and cant stop.

Please check two days ago when we had 1500 miners, the diff was around 400, see how many blocks we solved.

Then see how many we solved in the last 24 hours and what the average timespan is between blocks.

I bet the avg timespan increased between blocks to double, because our diff has not doubled, and I highly doubt minersofmen solved all those blocks (they show One block solved in the tx history there).

IF we doubled our timespan between blocks, that explains the problem.

Thanks for the hints Rob. I'll take a look once I get home from church in a few hours.

znaffl ... I think it's incredible how you live a day in the future ... some day you must explain how you do that!

Haha, yes, and in 10 minutes it will be 2018!
Happy New Year all!

hey all,

What are the block rewards for BiblePay per new block?
If I look at explorer I always see two values per block like:
https://biblepay-explorer.org/tx/80c48baf052752cebb2d693d4e2edbc8c2aebfd5dd011caff7acdab6262db1b3

Is the reward then ~7k for one block or  ~14k

Just learning this  Wink

Edit:
Figured it out myself.

Block reward is around ~14k BBP.
50% goes to the pool and 50% to Masternode.

First page shows masternodes get 10%  Roll Eyes

So 100% = ~ 14k BBP
Masternodes 50%
Donations 10%
Pool Fees 17%

Does that mean miners get 23%  Angry

Rob thank you again for all of your hard work!!!
These challenges make BiblePay even stronger.
But I am sorry you bear the majority of the work/burden. I will keep continuing to help as much as I can.

It seems like we will continually have to deal with those that are misinformed, mean, attacking and trolling.
You mentioned in the beginning of the project that there may even be coordinated attacks on BiblePay going forward.
There has been more FUD spreading recently on the Reddit from two new accounts, as well as investor above who is a new account.

===

If you believe that BiblePay is a scam, or that Rob is a scammer, then why not walk away?

If Rob were Putin(but he is not), You could be one of guys from "Troll factory" in St.  Petersburg...

I'm getting a penny from the pool fees?  No, they are going back to the other users.

all pool fees going to whom users?

masternode for 2500$?  im confused

coinmarkets offer max Total: 162 614 BBP
and on CCEX is 1 550 001 BBP for 0.812 BTC (12750$)= 10 353$

if you have BBP for 2500$ for masternode can i buy from you?  Cheesy  hehe

znfall very interesting screens, thanks for it  Wink and yeah Rob had true about that long block time

Oops, I was thinking we only doubled in price since our $1250 masternode, my fault.  We are at $6200 masternode now according to last homogenized quote. (See coinmarketcap).

The temporary pool fees allow the pool to recover its balance, so that as people withdraw they are paid.  The has outstanding a/p owed over its 1753 accounts.

next your fault coinmarkets offer only 150 000 BBP, how you can to buy 1.55M BBP from there market?  price for masternode is over 10 000$

west next your fault, minersofmen is dead last days

CryptoMaskNL exists only 1 pool .. pool.biblepay.org

and something is wrong with our pool ... difficulty doesnt so high and dont believe that exists so much solo miners  Undecided

Anyone else running a pool?
If I look at last 24h we had (based on the report) blocks 23384 till 23534 and that are 150 blocks where we mined 45 of them.
So like a third of all blocks if i'm right.

So even with 9 minute block spacing, we should try to figure out if more people are solo mining.  The pool is only solving about 22% of the blocks now, vs 45% last week.

So I took a look at the last 20 blocks, and the pools ratio being reported is correct.  (Pool solved 5 out of 20).  Leading me to believe we have more solo miners.

Alex, can you help us out?  Can you verify out of the last 1000 blocks minersformen only solved one?

Im finding it hard to believe solo mining is increasing while our pool miner count is also increasing (now above 2000 miners).

Me too.
It now looks like we havent found a Block in couple of hours?

   Last Height Mined:   23534 (12/30/2017 9:29:25 PM)

(Itsnow around 1 am Right? Not sure because of the Time zone differences.. here ut is 8 am🙂)

Looking at the number if miners and Power we should have found More... Lots More

Can't believe there are a lot of People solo minung.

Hmm I went on minersofmen and there is no miners there for now? What's the address of his pool?

Looks like it was:   BHN92L6pQoHm3EevfWTG7DP3FEbHeDrBGe

I see 20 blocks solved since Dec 4th:

https://biblepay-explorer.org/address/BHN92L6pQoHm3EevfWTG7DP3FEbHeDrBGe

(In contrast to 1 that I believe I saw in 30 days on the UI 5 days ago).

Well anyway it looks like no one is mining on that pool anymore? (unless he's having a temporary issue?)

Politicians answer in similar way.

So all others have understood my questions. You don't! It's a shame.

OK, let's explain:
1. Statistics were not OK last days. This include whole pool. Computers mined, but any results were not updated or updated with great looses.
2. How many complains about amouts you had last 5 pages of this forum? OK, but you have forgotten them, I see. And now you ask stupid questions "As you can see these questions dont even make sense"
3. Pool's fee + taxes. 10% mandatory + 17% pool fees = 27% ! You know you get them, right? Or you do not know you get them? This 27%  exclude your manipulations on the pool. Real amount is much more.

Now tell me if real Hash power is 1 500 000, you manipulate it as 4 000 000, how many shares you get with "phantom hashes"?

For the record your numbers are way off.  The taxes as you call them are actually 60% for pure miners.  Or 20% if you take more holistic approach.  The Block Reward is split 40% Miners, 40% Sanctuaries (Masternodes), 10% Charity, 5% IT, 2.5% PR, 2.5% Pay-To-Preach.

It's also very important to know that the main pool should really be considered the Dev's pool and not the coins.  He took the mantle of running it, and he's welcome to set whatever fees he feels are proper.  The coin does need a pool since solo mining is pretty discouraging for most users.  As such, if the main pool needs to make more for any reason, greed, incompetence, manipulation of markets or maybe, just maybe, to cover expenses incurred, then the main pool should adjust it's fees.  I'm sure Nicehash isn't just going to eat the expense of getting hacked, and there's no reason for this pool to either.  If you don't like them, download the software, set up another pool, charge 3% and let us all in.
