Rob, how is it going with Bittrex?  Have you been able to get in touch with them?  Their enhanced account verification is pretty automated and doesn't take too long to get approval.  It took less than a half hour to get my account done.  If they decided to list biblepay it looks like they would list it for free and charge 3 BTC if we wanted it spotlighted.

I contacted them multiple times and know someone there, and have not received a reply.  (I am on bittrex in my other community).
Feel free to contact them and ask them to list us.

I will do the verification step after you get a confirmation.

Although the price rise is very very nice, what is more exciting to me is the volume!
7.2 BTC in the last 24 hours!

I hope this can become the norm. Then we are in with a shot of getting on certain exchanges, and getting the debit card going.

To sustain that volume is a big problem, because it's on C-cex, as very small volume exchange. BBP needs to go on Cryptopia, coinexchange and some others. I hope the devs will take some action regarding this matter.

Weve been very active behind the scenes on this.  Most of these exchanges are asking $35,000 to list us.  Lukes been working with Cryptopia.  Ive been trying to work with Bittrex & Poloniex.  CoinExchange.IO confirmed they would do it for 2BTC, and the 2BTC has risen by 100% since they sent the offer.  Then I didnt hear back from them until yesterday with the most basic answers, and unfortunately the answer makes me even more nervous to engage (Its basically just send us your money, and no contact info given).

I think we'll find an exchange that will list us for less than $10k if we keep looking and we can vote for it out of the P2P budget in 2018.

Has anyone looked into listing on Bittrex?  Maybe this is old information, but it looks like they will list/launch for free and spotlight biblepay for 3 BTC:

At Bittrex, we look for coins that have high community demand, innovations to digital currency technology, or a contribution to science or humanity. Given the demand for currency launches, we limit ourselves to only a handful a week. Launching is free and at our discretion.  If your coin passes our compliance rules and you'd like to get additional marketing in our platform, we offer the option to spotlight your coin for 3.0 BTC.

Note that we cannot list currencies where its primary purpose is to support illegal gambling, illegal drug sales, or any other activity that is illegal in our jurisdiction.  We also cannot list currencies that would be construed as a security such as digital currencies that promise/market profits or represent shares of a company.  At our discretion, we may require an additional compliance fee for listing. These happen in the extraordinary cases where your coin's use case is extremely complex and requires significant research by our staff to determine suitability.

To help speed up the process of deploying your coin, we require the following information submitted through our support desk here: https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=114093958872

Coin Name
Enhanced Verified Account of team member on Bittrex - This team member must be either a core developer or a major shareholder (10% or more) of a company that backs the development of the coin.  That member will need to submit identifying documents to get their account enhanced verified.
Description of your coin -  Why does it exist and what makes it unique?  What new technology or business concept are you bringing to the blockchain? If your ANN thread only has coin specs on it, you are not going to get listed on Bittrex.
Coin trading symbol - The ticker needs to be 3-5 letters and cannot contain any symbols or numbers.  Please verify that your preferred symbol is not already in use on our exchange or any other.  There are a number of services that track coin prices that require the symbols to be unique. Even if the symbol is not on our exchange anymore, we won't reuse it.  Consider your symbol carefully because we will not change it once it is set.
A logo for your coin - png format with a transparent background.  The logo should be square with dimensions of 1000x1000 pixels with no white space on its border and no taglines.  It should only be a logo and expect it to show up in multiple spots in the Bittrex UI.
Launch Date (past or future)
Github Link - We only accept source code.  We will not run a binary that you provide us.
Did you raise money/bitcoin to launch your coin?  (i.e. a CFC/ICO)
Did you have a premine?  How much is it?  Is it escrowed?
What is the max money supply for your coin?
Exchanges you are currently on
Official blockchain explorer
What is your TxFee for a transaction
Any social media information such as your official website, twitter account, facebook page, subreddit, etc.

Its a pity this ICO does not include one line of code.  The roadmap might be adjusted to change "Yacht gathering of Prestige Token Holders" to "Jesus splits the Mt of Olives in Two" and all of those who loved riches more than him will realize their judgement is Depart from me, I never knew you- Oops you should be storing up your treasure in heaven.

The Team tab says it all : https://privilegecoin.me/teamtoken-holders/
Whats surprising is how many Ether they will receive from people who do not do any due diligence.  I guess the creator thinks its actually funny to bilk people.

Is the price for upcoming sanctuaries known already?

They are 1,500,001 BBP.

Sanctuary Escrow Requirement - Christmas 2017:
The escrow requirement is 1,550,001 BBP per Sanctuary.  (Thats approx. $1,250 USD).

Hmmm, is it 1,550,001? or 1,500,001?

Sanctuary guide also says 1,500,001:  http://wiki.biblepay.org/Create_Sanctuary

Sorry, had to re-read the old post.

Yes, 1,550,001.

I edited the last post.

Have you all seen how nice Alex's explorer is?

https://biblepay-explorer.org/

Note how you can drill into a block and hover over bible verses and see the context of the verse:

Dash will release the Evolution upgrade soon with Dapi and much more. Dash is the future.

Unless you have a way to keep the dash core business model and ADD Stratis features. That would be great.

Also, FYI, there is already a Stratis fork name Obsidian.

Quick update on State of The Biblepay, and a request for any constructive criticism on a potential new idea.

I took a look at Obsidian, and Im happy to say that so far it is actually a port of Stratis with the Obsidian-QT wallet - meaning it does not yet include any Prod c# code, or c# UI.  The UI in the Obsidian-QT wallet is the same as our Biblepay-QT wallet (minus the masternodes).  The thing they are releasing at Christmas is messaging for Android - not c# web UI either.

Thats good because that means we have a wide open space to do something pioneering with Stratis still.

We might not be the first as this is a HUGE project.  I think it will take a quarter to release a proof of concept.

But its good to know we might be able to focus on this project for something very original and bright for BiblePay.

I was thinking of a huge potential side effect we might inherit if we ever have a c# wallet.  We could literally add hundreds of gospel features in the wallet without breaking compatibility with a very quick release schedule as the codebase would be pool compatible, and in addition we could add tons of windows forms features to the code.

Didnt someone say they created a paper wallet generator?

I received this question:
Do you have paper wallets so I can give Bible Pay as Christmas Gifts

Thanks

Yes, I think we should add features such as BiblePay University, so we can have Bible Tests, and reward those who take the tests with variable amounts of BBP (depending on the grade).

Thank you for your positive comments, and the plug - but Please don't quote the whole OP LOL as it will spam the board, thanks a lot for understanding.

What is the difference between the hps vs hps2? can you expand on the differences please.

Welcome aboard Saint!

The HPS in the pool is the speed your machine is advertising to the pool.  The HPS2 is the speed the pool is measuring (for your node).
The pool pays rewards based off of HPS2.

We are temporarily leaving them both in for debugging of f8000.  Eventually we can remove HPS, and recaption HPS2 to HPS to simplify things (probably around Feb of 2018)! Sorry for the confusion for now, we have been tweaking the PoBH since inception to try to use all the processor but prevent people from gaining by running multiple copies per node and I think we finally have it ready for Christmas.

On the topic of Mining Rewards in f7000:

The proof-of-bible-hash function currently has a "node mutex" in it.  Some processors max out the node mutex faster than others because of the wait queue for shared data.  If you are experiencing this I would recommend trying the 32 bit version of biblepay.  (I dont officially recommend running multiple copies of biblepay as that is not something I condone, as I like high quality nodes, in addition that workaround is going away at Christmas).

I do want to say that at Christmas F8000 will be enabled designed to solve this problem (At Christmas we are moving to a processor mutex.
).   You can meet us here:
http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=16.510
and reproduce the issue there by running the latest version with -testnet flag, and comparing your f8000 hashspeed across your two reference machines.  You should see a more equal HPS in testnet right now (with 1.0.6.0+).  If that solves your problem then dont worry about just wait til Christmas for the new release.

Thats why its a moot point to put much effort into this here in Prod when the algo will be changing in only 15 days.

That brings up a good point- anyone with any last minute feature requests or bugs, please go to the testnet forum and lets talk about them now.  Alex is running valgrind and has been helping me clean up the software to prevent any crashes after Christmas.  We need to work all fixes in within the next 7 days as we have to finalize the release.  CCEX will need 14 days notice to upgrade, therefore our mandatory schedule will need to be T-14 for a Christmas release.

It should only be pool mining if you added something for that in the biblepay.conf file. What do you have in your file?

"addnode=node.biblepay.org
addnode=biblepay.inspect.network
gen=1
genproclimit=1
poolport=80
pool=http://pool.biblepay.org
workerid=littlekingjohn"

Is this the one you use? This is what you change to 20 or more

it decreased.. lol.

this is weird why would my CPU usuage be at 96% for a 24 core CPU but produces 1,000 +/- hashes as my 4 core computer at 96% usage? Where is the rest of my computation power going?

My 4 core was putting out 14K hashes and my 24 core was only pushing at 15K.. (now 12K with the new settings).

Hi There,

I hear your pain. I increased my hash power 3x at least. Still could not get where I want. My first project on BBP to help others is on the way. Here is my own personal experience:

-hps2 takes time to increase and it tends to drop about %25 and increase again.
-huge hps not always provide the best hps2.High-end Xeon processor users probably upset about that.
-you see dudes 10k hps but producing 70k hps2 and I also managed to replicate that. Here is the basic formula. First you get lowend 20x - 30x vps servers. All these vpses run on the same worker-id you see only one of their hps and hps2 shows combined effort. I strongly suggest you to do otherwise. Why? Managing such numbers on single worker-id masks which performing well and hide problematic boxes.

This makes no sense. Why would a 4core intel processor (3 years old) outperform a 24core Skylake Xeon processor in terms of hashes per second?

What is the difference between the hps vs hps2? can you expand on the differences please.

Oh wish I could have the answers. That topic re-visited a lot before. I am not the expert in the field so my explanation might be wrong. For me it is your current power. For example you have a ferrari but in certain conditions you cannot drive fast it gets such as, traffic. When the road is empty and no issues ahead it goes faster and faster. The people before blamed the road(codes), blamed the traffic lights(the pool) etc.

The more miners adding to the pool, they will take a fair share for themselves. So, we old ones will not get as much as many coins.

God Bless

No worries. It was easier to get coins before as the reward you get from the block is depending on the difficulty. The maximum you can get is 20 000 coins and the minimum is 5000.

These are not superblocks lol There are no superblocks yet. These are just transfers..You can follow the trail and see the actually mined blocks.
Looks like a big miner moving everything slowly to a single address.

Okay! I see BJetjCfxK3CDau6jSucLkfdgmBYNPRKJUB received 671,372 from BGZ1aofxD2G6zUiUZu2VhK1h8MnwLRqc3k, which it looks like has mined 1,655,376 since the 14th of October.  A Sanctuary since mid October is still impressive.  I thought I could buy one for less than the hardware and electricity.  On 12/7 this address minted 5977 and 6427 coins.

And then BJetjCfxK3CDau6jSucLkfdgmBYNPRKJUB received 713,599 from B6LwXsLgGPivixKiRBzzJ26xQmqD8S5osz, which it looks like has mined 727,473 since 29th of September.  On 12/8 this address minted 8873 and 5000 coins.  Those amounts seem more realistic.

I missed some details of what I was looking at.  Thanks, Alex for clearing that up.

Slovakia, it looks okay.
