Alex has done a great job with the new Block Explorer!
He even fixed the difficulty display and added colors!

Ill keep my block explorer running as backup:

@Rob, I think you said you updated CoinMarketCap with new Block Explorer? (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/biblepay/)

Also these will need to be updated too:

Is there a link to pool mining rules & regs?

Maybe the 'about' page is what you look for?

Thank you @adrianbits, the "about" info was helpful.

You are most welcome my friend. I noticed you have 8 threads working. I currently use 16. I have sometimes used 8 and I get varied results. I can not make sense of what is the optimal amount because it does not seem to scale linearly.

Anyways, happy hashing!

@adrianbits .. thanks for the tip! I've read a bit about threads, but I'm still unsure of how to tweak a miner based on the variables ... like cpu, ram, etc. Maybe someone with more experience will help us out ...  Cool

Forgot to mention that I checked to make sure there is a worker listed at the pool, and made sure the biblepay.conf file contained the same worker name.

Does worker name contain stranger characters (dashes? operands? etc).
maybe it trips it up. thats all i can think of right now?

What I would do is try a complete restart of machine, then rename the worker in .conf and main pool site as something else. Then try to start again.

It may be also its under maintenance so perhaps its temporarily glitching?

Hope it helps you

That worked. I setup a new worker with the name abcdefghi and put it in the .conf file .. problem solved. Maybe the first name I chose was already being used by another miner. Whatever the case, it's working now .. thanks!

Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
just noticed pool fee went from 0% to 4%
is this the new normal?

Not forever, no, I was trying to provide the service for close to zero, but in the last 30 days we've had some technical things happening behind the scenes where the pool has been paying out slightly more than its making (its down -500,000 for the last 30 days).  Since I started its down about -750,000 BBP.  I take the responsibility for most of it, as I had the TOR hackers take advantage of 200,000 BBP from the faucet (thats been patched and reward lowered), and I also gave away about 100,000 in various P2P campaigns.

Im just temporarily keeping it at 4% until I can find the source of the leak and then I will start lowering it down again.

Working on it....

Hi, my pool fee is 0 since I wrote to the orphans, but the quota of letters has been exceeded so no-one should have pool fees.

@togoshigekata I am keen to help where I can. I am not a coder so probably I can help with marketing etc.

Any ideas on how to spread BiblePay more? How can we market and advertise more?

I randomly post about BiblePay on:
- Reddits: /r/Cryptocurrency /r/Altcoin /r/Vertcoin
- Discords: Spacestation, ONEX, DashNation, Strape (Richard Heart)
- Twitter: Hashtags: #BiblePay #BBP #Crypto #cryptocurrency #cryptocurrencies #altcoin #altcoins

A lot of traders got interested in Vertcoin (VTC) the past month, we have the same goal of Vertcoin with ASIC-Resistance
Also traders got interested in DASH, we are a fork of DASH and are going live with Masternodes/Sanctuaries this December

All of our nodes are full nodes with the POBh Proof of BibleHash algorithm
We donate 10% of mined coins to Charity

We have the Faucet and Gospel links to reward newcomers

And with the 10% Charity we are already sponsoring 175 Orphans Monthly!

Please give ideas and also jump to action!

Amanda B Johnson is awesome, shes going to be great at helping get regular every day people into cryptocurrencies

She recently made a proposal on DASH
https://www.dashcentral.org/p/ScalingUpPublicityWithAmandaPMBC

I enjoyed watching her DASH School series on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiFMZOlhgsYKKOUOVjQjESCXfR1cCYCod

Ive been watching DASH just a tiny bit, one interesting thing I read recently, is that they have so many budget proposals now, that they have another group of people who they pay out of the budget to summarize and critique and report back on all the other proposals hahaha, thats awesome!
https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/pre-proposal-detailed-research-analysis-of-all-dash-proposals-on-a-monthly-basis.17029/
https://www.dashcentral.org/p/Proposal-Reporting

Im really curious to see how the DASH governance model scales.

Oh and sorry I missed one more thing you said

"a better design would have been the original bitcoin emission imho. thats a proven model after all."

Trust me, there are big big whales in BTC, 0.08% of BTC addresses hold ~ 60% of all BTC
( https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html )

So the problem is in BTC as well

i agree. btc is not perfect by any means. its the largest ponzi scheme ever invented

Cool, so then why copy them?
Sorry I am getting confused with all my post editing.

well for one it makes the coin more stable in terms of speculative pumping and dumping. like i said before, the only way for a miner to make profits on something priced at 10 satoshi or less is if it trades within 1-20. right? and thats only going to work if you have LOTS of coins to sell. you cant make anythign if you were getting 50 coins every 10 minutes esp not with exchanges getting in the way

so , btc is more 'stable' or 'honest' in that sense. it doesnt enable this early frenzy of pump and dump mentality for the 'quick spread'.

lastly a comment about your earlier points - if understood it. comparing btc and bbp as equivalent because they comparatively have the same 'max ceilings'; this is a red herring. neither btc nor bbp will be around long enough to ever reach these levels for it to all 'fairly even out'. tech is short lived, changes, you cant predict how long something will remain 'en vogue'.

what only matters is the present and the very near future that you can reliably (a)count on.

Ok, I am happy to agree to disagree. And truly, if you started a new coin which can help to solve the problem of wealth distribution, then I would be interested.
Perhaps though, you could tone it down a bit though with accusations. Many of us here are trying to do something good, if not perfect.
Thanks
