Pool is having problem in last few hours, some of my miners dropped from pool. The message in miner did not show revert to solo mining, but somehow 1 of my machine manage to mine a block  Grin

I found inconsistent block rewards, usually it was nearly 20000 (199xx), but why sometimes I have 20000, and the last mined block get only 5832?
About 30 minutes ago I was monkeying with the sessionstate and it knocked everyone off for about 15 mins, they are all back, lucking the block was solved 1 minute before they got booted.

Anyway, unrelated to that, the low reward is happening now due to the diff > 300.  See the prior forum page we were discussing that this morning.

One miner pointed 100 servers at the pool today.

Oh I see, so any problem with the diff value or this is normal due to large network hashrate now? (Sorry I have searched a few page back on this thread but did not find the discussion about this, just ignore me if it was answered)

And wow, big miners are coming now, biblepay is getting popular  Grin

I think its partially due to the algorithm change.  I believe the algorithm change increased the diff from .05 to 100.00.  The other part from 100-400 or so is probably the miner with 100 servers.  I'll try to add a few more metrics to the pool that show total miner participation, total kh/s, and things like that.  Then maybe Happy can jump in and formulate a change for the call to networkhashps.

The code was already in GetBlockSubsidy to lower the subsidy when the diff rises, but it was never expected to rise from .01 to 500, I actually expected the subsidy to drop to about 17000 between now and Christmas.  So we might have to adjust that slightly in the next mandatory.

It sounds like you are on a fork.  In which case this mining is probably not going to count and the amounts will disappear when you get back onto the main chain.  You might want to stop and either reindex or delete the existing chain (but not the wallet) and see if you get back onto the proper chain.

You know it is pretty frustrating when you write an letter to an orphan and after you click on save everything is lost 'cause you need to log in again...
I just set the pools session timeout to 900 minutes.  Let me know if anyone experiences a timeout going forward.

A timeout is when you get redirected to the login page.

Yeah, in the mean time ctrl-A, ctrl-C, then Save, but anyway, I get the point, let me try to find the root cause as to why the timeout is so short.

I see the accountability button in the wallet leads to a d-dos page.
I'm going to go ahead and fix that now.  West asked if we have "modular" code.  LOL.  Yes!

I do have a project for someone.  If someone can research who in the bitcoin world does professional wallet theming.  Someone who adds exchange buttons, a vertical toolbar, background images, and professional CSS for an entire wallet theme to a QT5 wallet (with 3 themes from the option page).  (Not looking for a volunteer, looking for someone with over 5 years experience that charges us $500-$1500).  Let them know we will have a new Logo pack by the time we approve the expense.  Could someone find that individual and hook us up with them?

While I don't know a professional QT5 wallet designer, I do know a few very qualified and experienced designer/developers who have the design chops for something like this (the specifics of working within a qt5 arrangement wouldn't be an issue to them as they tend to take on development projects for off-beat form factors/presentations). If your search for the QT5 specific person isn't successful, give me a shout and I will get their names to you so they could get you their portfolios and etc.

Thanks, yeah, dont mean to sound picky, but for this particular thing I was looking for a Gen2 pro wallet themer, another words, someone who has done at least 10 wallet complete themes.  Sort of like a tattoo artist- they are experts in their field.  The reason why is they will ask us questions for example to let the community choose the primary and secondary background colors, they will have a list of every qt5 icon to update, they will merge in the time tested spinner mov files, they will have experience to put the horizontal bar on the main page, and basically plug the whole thing in.

I used Flubber one time and I see hes still on bitcointalk but cant reach him.  If you google Gen-2 and Gen-3 wallet design threads you will find a few examples of the process again, but I dont have anyone specific.  As far as the qt5 guy, he sounds like a person we would want on our team, but this is sort of a one off project.

Totally understand, just something to keep in mind for other projects as well. I've been promoting BBP among some of my friends (They are in the Houston area while I am in the Tulsa area....so not far from DFW) because despite our varying beliefs all of us find something to like with the project (I personally was drawn to the novel hash concept at first but then really fell in with the root cause of helping others through charity). My intention (when I'm less buried by work) is to go through the github and become familiar with the inner-workings but until then I figure I can write a few letters to kids, run a few nodes, and just be involved however. I'll keep my eyes open for when you float requests.

Thanks again for your work and vision on this project.

You dont happen to have that Xubuntu setup do you? Im still unable to run. I could send you some BBP! Smiley
I keep getting this error:
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

Not sure where the holdup is. I tried in /Biblepay and in /SRC..made sure I was sudo.. linux new to me however.

Before make you need to run ./autogen.sh and ./configure

@inblue   ,   which linux distro are you using for BBP miner ?

I just got a couple machines in today (but of course the seller forgot to send the power cables).  I'm going to set one up as a Linux machine so I can better give advice and will be using Xubuntu I believe.  I've got a GPU miner that runs Xubuntu but don't really want to mess with it as it's been super stable for two months and don't mess with success, right?

Depending on how my week goes, I'll have time by Friday afternoon if I don't get started beforehand.  Hopefully you get it figured out, but when I was playing with Linux earlier, I discovered I missed a step, so it doesn't hurt (much) to just start from the beginning of the Linux How-To and try again from the top.

And the second part of the sentence is, before restarting Core for the "last" time, rename or delete your debug.txt file.

You will use gen=1 but 616 meant to comment it out (ex. #) for the time being...that is how I read it anyway.

Yes, comment out the gen=1 (it will read #gen=1) then save the biblepay.conf.  When you restart Core, it won't generate but will behave quicker to sync. When it's sych'ed up, close Core, go back to the biblepay.conf, re-enable gen=1 (by removing the #), re-save, then restart Core.

im trying sync Biblepay Core verzia 1.0.3.1 (64-bit) and still crashed  Huh  WIN 10 64Bit
any help,idea?

Delete your banlist, delete your debug.txt.  Then change your .conf to not generate (i.e., #gen=1).  Start, go to wallet repair, hit the Reindex button. It will restart.  Wait, if it gets stuck at 12 hours or less for more than 5 minutes, exit out of Core.  Restart Core, it should take a few more minutes and sync.  Then exit Core one last time, re-enable gen=1 in your .conf file, delete or rename your debug.txt file.

where is situated banlist? 2nd sentence dont understand..... gen=1 del´ed=not use?
why i cant join to exists peerers?
