If you have some extra cash and don't mind sitting on it, BTC is probably still a pretty safe investment.
I don't think there will be any huge crash. Even the recent BitFinex hack only caused a little bit of damage.
Its not like the MtGox days which was, honestly, just the bursting of a bubble like the US housing market a few years ago.
You might not get rich quick, but you probably won't go broker overnight, either.

Low rates lead to highly speculative decisions. This is a bomb being armed. I believe FED and other central banks are well aware of that.

do you think they will try to stop it? are bank still in competition with bitcoin, or they are just ging to work on their blockchain? i hope bitcoin can recover from the last crash and be stronger than ever
Bitcoin always recovers and that is the reality, if ever big crash will happen I am pretty sure I am gonna but cheap bitcoins due to some panic selling because I trust bitcoins so much that it can recover. We have survive a major crash in the past so we are more stable and stronger now.

I agree that bitcoin prices are more stable now compared to earlier, but I don't know whether it is correct what you said is always recover prices. Because bitcoin prices were over 1000 couple of years back and until now it never recovered that price so when you make a decision to buy think whether selling panic selling or any logic behind that selling otherwise your money may be stuck for years to recover.

We can say normally that bitcoins price is slowly stabilizing compared to previous years as same as you said. I remember that time that bitcoin price pump at $1k  and goes  down again. One of the characteristics  of bitcoin is its volatility and no one really knows  when and what price would be in the future.

If the block size is small and the transaction confirmation time is long, not many people will use the bitcoin. The price will be lower.

Banks are already trying to fight Bitcoin with their own developments of banker shitcoins.
They had a monetary monopol for a bit more than 100 years.Of course they will not just watch us and let it happen.
But Bitcoin is not in direct competion with the banks.Bitcoin is open, decentralized and borderless while banks are working and existing in a highly regulated field they can not brake out from.

Look at the politics of the central banks worldwide. Interest rates lower that 1%, or even negative interest rates, are a clear sign that something is going fundamentaly wrong in our current financial system. The worldwide debt is increasing daily and has reached a level as never before in human history. The economy growth is low compared to the last 40-50 years and continue declining.

It's complicated, but it's true. The signs of this possible event become more visible every day.
what signs? can you mention at least one? the financial system crash is incoming inevitably for sure though in my opinion bitcoin is not going to crash

we will not see a huge crash for sure, in my opinion the price can only grow at the moment and make us all some big profit

I think the big crash already happened and when we saw that the price of bitcoin is falling down last month. And that is because a lot of people did panic selling so instead of the price of bitcoin to increase, it crashed. And another incident of the bitfinex security breached and lost 120,000 bitcoins then that is the crash that op is telling, I guess.
I hope so that it was the last big crash, I don't want to see any bad news about bitcoin as it will affect the price increase which I have been waiting to happen, I know people have invested before the halving cannot sell their bitcoins now due to losses will be bear by them if they do.
This is a super old thread and it really isn't worth paying much attention to it, but the thread was also talking about the world economy and not Bitcoin. Something that everyone aside from the first person in this discussion has completely missed. While there isn't much of a potential for Bitcoin to crash anytime soon, especially so soon after a recent dump, it is always possible and something that should be watched constantly. Watch the world economy first though, that is currently experiencing more of a balancing act compared to anything else.
Anything could happen with bitcoin, it may crash or will go to the moon but as investors our trust with bitcoin is overflowing that is why we have risk a big amount of money for the future of bitcoin, on the other hand since it is decentralized it cannot easily collapsed as we all want it to be stable.

No i don't think so, if you look at the trading charts price has already started to rebound so we may see a big pump or steady rise. The latest crash was due to unexpected bitfinex hacks.

Bitfinex incident  is truly the cause  of bitcoins price down because those large amount of bitcoins have been sold   in the price of $670 price and so on, Imaging that almost  $60M of equivalent amount therefore it declines  the price of btc but even though  of  the pricedrop incident  it would sure  stable to rise in upcoming months as we can see of the current chart of bitcoin now.
It is sad for those who lose their money but a good opportunity for us who want to buy cheap price, the current price has already recovered now and what we are seeing is the price has slowly to rise and might go back to $600 this month. To be honest, I was not really alarm when there was a hack and I have seen a big price fall back because my confidence is strong on bitcoin.

Interesting prediction - we're two thirds the way through the year, do you still expect this crisis to happen? Is there time left?

Oh, by the way...what was supposed to cause this crisis? Any details or data to share with us?

Just to let you guys know a big crash is coming in 2016 in the economy. There is going to be a huge financial crisis but it will be worse than 2009.

The bitcoin price will skyrocket to over $10,000. However  bitcoin will be banned in all western countries. If you are reading this living in the west you should make preparations to move to Russia or China they are the only places you will be safe owning bitcoins.

The crisis will be so big it will destroy entire countries and in 2017 there will be a civil war in the USA, UK and western europe. After this the world will never be the same again it will change so much by 2020 it will be unrecognizable compared to today.

But what has happened in good because prices went up quite a lot and now prices are corrected and is more stable around 580 range. Now I feel prices should slowly start moving up instead going down. But if any bad news comes out on bitcoins then only prices will go down otherwise mostly go up from this price.
