The problem with decentralised markets is that it is open to all sorts of manipulation. There is no higher authority to complain to as it is all community driven. All we can see is that it has happened before, and it always bounces back bigger and better than before

Due to rise of cryptomarket in 2017 a lot of new peoples entered cryptomarket because they felt there is a ray of hope for bright future if invested in cryptocurrency sometimes as the cryptomarket were showing potential of profit on investment in short time. Peoples used to invest in each and every ICOs because there were few legit ICOs earlier which used to give guaranteed profits on investments in pre sale, main sale later the number ICOs along with that number of scams increased which helped in market manipulation. Recently I read one article about lawsuit going on Roger ver & Bitmain CEO Jihan Wu for allegedly hijacking Bitcoincash Network which is the biggest example of manipulation & resulted in crash of cryptomarket drastically.

I guess this has become a norm in this space. Before now or rather, when I got into this space in 2017, there was always clear reasons there were price drops, sometimes it was mere corrections, as it was touted. But the current price levels is one which is beyond explanation and any clear reason. Here we are still experiencing further drops with no specifics of where the bottom is gonna be at. This is obviously a manipulation and it goes to show how long it would take before cryptos go mainstream.

My question is where do you get money to buy it. When BTC prices, as well as other altcoins, fell down, we assumed it was and bought it, then it continued to fall, and repeated many times. If there are no organizations with strong enough capital to invest, it is difficult to pull back the market.this make you can buy more bitcoin and any others good crypto in the market,, wich mean you will get a better price to buy

Obviviously, when i talk about buying more.. it is with fiat.. nowadays people that life only from cryptocurrencies will hardly survive.. we still need an income in fiat to keep on. But this will be only for a few years.. in teh future, when we talk about fiat, it will seem just as a preshitoric type of money!

That's called blind faith, you should always have some level of worry as it stops you from being complacent and ensures you're constantly evaluating. Taking in to account the price drop, consider if you still believe in crypto for the long term and if you do then it does present a better buying opportunity.

Come on. This isn't market manipulation, at least not in the 'whales are manipulating the price to make more money by lowering the price so they can buy cheap'. There are many reasons for the fall and it's also not that significant of a fall, other than the fact it's a new yearly low. Be positive. Bitcoin is still going strong and has every chance of recovery soon. Also a simple google search will offer many reasons which could have been behind the fall, all more compelling then market manipulation.

Biggest drop? I don't think this dump is really big, there are so many dumps in this year and this time I think it's really normal, not so big. ). I often don't want to find out the reason for every dump cause it takes too much time and I can do other better things with so much time like that than just finding out the reason for a dump. I think you guys shouldn't waste time to find out the reason or create thread or topic like this anymore .

$700billion dollar money of cryptotraders are stolen by a maybe a couple thousand developers.
There have never been 700bn dollars in the crypto market. Just because the marketcap was that high does not mean that's the actual dollar amount of money that's in the market. If any big holder tried to sell when the market cap was that high then the price would instantly crash.

To be sure that the market will go up in the near future, we can say that now is a great time to purchase at a small price. But the whole problem is that it is unknown how much time the market will be in such a state.

I was shocked to be stunned by a fairly healthy decline as usual that this is an unstable crypto as people said a few months ago,market manipulation can be said that way but the number total ppl of groups is no less certain there is a fight in a healthy market crypto.
The current status indeed is really surprising and shocking to all of us users. With the drops of value was suffered for long and most users being hopeful already for the profitable rate of bitcoin. So manipulation could happen this time that some are also hopeless for the status of the market.

Manipulation is really possible like this drops in an instant without any news then we can also think that many users,traders and investors unite to sell in drops so better to do is to buy now like grab the chance because the price is really low actually anytime the price of btc and alts can drops a lot so if you believe that they will grow in the future do investment here then if not just find other way to earn that you like
We don't really know on what is the exactly reason why the market are still in the dropped and it cause fear to a lot of newbie investors. By the way it's a good chance to buy bitcoin and hold for long term, I believe it will rise soon.

Market has been sinking for a long time... although the news comming are mostly good.. and today a drop fo 12% of marketcap without a clear reason?¿?
i only can think about : market manipulation!
BTC is supposed to be decentralized.. but i heard some time ago, this just the other way arround.. 2or 3 big mining groups have a 90% of the supply...

its seems like because of Chinese miner pull out their plug. hash rate has drop 20%. i dont know its some big scheme behind the scene or chinese government do some crazy stuff again.

Most of the traders or crypto enthusiast always pointing their finger to the miners every time there is a price dump in the market but really have a point right? They have enough funds to sell from the coins they mined. If you got a link or source where you got news, this thread will be interesting to discuss. I am pretty sure that most of us in the crypto world was shocked with this unexpected dump.

Working as a CMO for an upcoming Zilliqa dApp here in Singapore together with an OTC business, here's my insights:
- BTC is centralized to some extent, individual whales own billions of dollars at a time. We regurarly do deals with individuals who are selling 2-3 billion dollars at once.
- The actual value crypto is bringing to the world is very little compared to the hype and market cap
- from TA point of view and talking to several of the crypto funds here in Singapore, bear market will last another year. BTC will keep crashing

This is a free market. The founders of the altcoins do not need to hold much money, they just go manipulative to have money.
