The best for bitcoin is that Satoshi's identity remains a mistery forever. If at some point his identity were revealed there would be serious chances the impact for btc would be very negative. It could lead investors to panic selling and the mainstream media to create lots of narratives about the hidden goals and purposes of the creation of bitcoin. Maybe it could mean the end of bitcoin, being it replaced by an altcoin, probably ethereum.

Anyway, although we are curious about this matter, I think we should be just thankful for his invention and for all the fruits gathered so far.

If his identity is revealed there will be negative effects on bitcoin, but not to the extent that it is the end of bitcoin, bitcoin will always exist and thrive as long as our needs remain. Satoshi is the creator of bitcoin and he can hold a lot of bitcoins but I guess he can't control bitcoins either, so his presence won't change the decentralized nature of bitcoin either.

Let's say bitcoin is over, I see it's also the end of the entire crypto market, there's no reason why ethereum or any other cryptocurrency should ever replace bitcoin. Not all deserve to sit in the place of bitcoin, centralized altcoins.
That is a risk to be taken if his identity is revealed. We don't know exactly the dimension of such consequences, but I've read some speculations on the internet saying it can be heavily harmful to bitcoin if it happens and it makes sense, because investors would avoid bitcoin if they thought they were being manipulated by a hidden agenda controlled by few individuals, since the proposal of bitcoin is decentralization and going against groups of power.

About ethereum I mentioned it because it is the natural second choice, as eth is the most popular chain for projects/tokens developers.

I don't know why, but screw his identity. I'm kind of more curious if "Satoshi Nakamoto" is actually a single individual, or a group that consists of 2 or more people — and if it's actually a group, how many people does it consist of?
I have about the same attitude towards this issue. I am not at all interested in Satoshi's personality, especially after he wished to remain anonymous. I respect his decision and even if I had the opportunity to find out who he really is, I would refuse it. What matters most is what he has done for humanity, not his personal data. Also, I don't care if it was one person or a group of people. In general, this creates an aura of mystery, but I believe that since this information was not shared with the community, then we do not need to know. It seems that this will be better for the bitcoin-network.

This topic is understandably a newbie’s favorite discussion. Newbies may find the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto intriguing and may even attempt to draw a pattern to speculate the identity or nationality of Satoshi. For those of us who have been here long enough, we have seen this being discussed repeatedly and I have come to the conclusion that this will be a discussion that will never cease as long as Bitcoin exists.

So who is Satoshi Nakamoto? This question is repeated hundreds of times every year. I don't even care or don't want to know how the original figure of the bitcoin maker is, for sure with bitcoin all my life has changed from income to transactions so easy, fast and safe for me that's enough. You better learn more about bitcoin and crypto because every year developments in these fields are always changing and there is always progress that you must follow.

I prefer that Satoshi Nakamoto is a group of people who work to build a Bitcoin project but they don't gather in one room but work in their respective places and communicate with each other.

This bitcoin project is still a mystery, especially about Satoshi Nakamoto, because we don't know who they really are. But we have to thank him because he has dared to break the system that has been running for a long time.

And when Satoshi Nakamoto's wallet starts to move, all eyes will be on the wallet and will wait for where they will send Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a revolutionary way to send or receive money. It's fast, secure, and user-friendly and is still highly valued in the world economy. What is the value of bitcoin tomorrow? No one knows, but that's its beauty and its biggest secret and in a world where we can't predict what will happen after the next 30 seconds.

indeed the creator of bitcoin is very full of mystery because no one knows who he is? who is often called, Satoshi Nakamoto, even a senior in the bitcoin talk forum, no one knows. if in my opinion as a beginner in bitcoin. don't worry too much about who Satoshi is, because it will make your head spin. but I always think about Satoshi Nakamoto's services for all of us who are interested in investing in bitcoin, and many of them benefit, especially those who bought bitcoins in 2010, wow that must be really lucky, and Satoshi's biggest service in my opinion is, opening job vacancies a very big one, namely by investing in bitcoin whether it is a short-term or long-term investment. and this is very helpful for the world community.

I guess, Many bitcoiners are waiting to know the originality of Satoshi, if truly he is a black man or white man, because some of us just believed that Satoshi is the founder of Bitcoin and the purpose he created Bitcoin is to help the world to reduce unemployment, transaction delay in all financial institutions in the land.  We don't know if Satoshi is a single boy or girl before he created Bitcoin to helped humanity to grow well, which many people will like to know if you can be able to give the real identity of Satoshi.

I doubt that! There will be a temporary effect on the market which can be negative but that will be recovered faster that we expect. It all depends on the course of actions taken by the enforcement agencies once the identity of real Satoshi is revealed and confirmed. I am sure a lot of enforcement agencies are waiting for this information. So we will see what impact it brings on to the market. But decentralization has its own benefits.

That's never gonna happen! Bitcoin can't be controlled by Satoshi or some agency. No cryptocurrency will ever replace bitcoin till the time it is minable.

For some reason I think Satoshi is dead. Or it somehow fell into the hands of a state and is being used.
And I have already accepted the fact that whether he's alive or not, we'll never know who is the actual Satoshi or who they really are. Satoshi just really played at his best to be the best example of what anonymity is so is the creation of bitcoin.

Otherwise, it is not possible for such a rich and important person to remain hidden.
But he just did.

With all the current holdings that he's got, calculating the net of it. He's totally rich but for all over the years, no one has gone out to move those coins that have been there for so long.

And our conclusion is that he's gone forever and those bitcoins are also gone together with him.

One of the biggest mysteries in the technology world is the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto the computer programmer who invented the digital currency Bitcoin that's because Satoshi Nakamoto is a pseudonym it may be the name of one person or the name of a group but for over 13 years now of bitcoins existence no one has figured out who or what Nakamoto is beyond solving a long-standing mystery what sort of impact would uncover that Komodos identity have to answer that question

2008 Satoshi Nakamoto published a nine-page white paper containing the first ever mention of Bitcoin calling it a peer-to-peer electronic cash system at this point bitcoin was just an idea on paper but in 2009 Nakamoto put the concepts to the test releasing the cryptocurrency's first software Nakamoto was active those first few years writing in forums sending emails and working with other developers and coders to improve the program that'll change in 2011 when Nakamoto  essentially vanished no more forum entries no more emails and in all that time nobody not even close collaborators ever met the founder in person but here's the thing whoever it is they didn't walk away empty-handed Nakamoto is estimated to have 1 million bitcoins.

I don't really see anything too different compared to many other open source software.

The common thing is to never meet in person the main developer of an open source software that you use.

Also it's very common that the main developer would be very active in the first few years and then move on to other things and never be seen again.

It's also usually the case that the main developer is only one person, working hard for a long time.

I think it's just because Bitcoin represents money that some people are so obsessed with this project's early main developer in particular.

Well for once, we should lay to rest Satoshi's identity. As someone says, he could be dead already and so his coins are not going to move anytime. And if someone comes forward again and claim to be Satoshi, then our common sense that is he fake.

But we can read about Satoshi here in this community as he has posted a lot in the beginning before he disappear.

How did you know that Satoshi has an estimated to have 1 BTC in his wallet when you yourself said that we really don't know who he or she or group of individuals behind that name?

Just surprising to see another Satoshi Nakamoto thread, I can't recall if we have this kind of thing back in 2018 bear market when suddenly members are opening a thread about the legendary man when everyone here knows that Satoshi we will not know his real identity? And those who are all claiming are fake.

I my book satoshi must have (sadly ) died at some point in 2011 - no way could a human being sit on such wealth and do exactly zero !

So the prime candidate, in my view, is Len Sassaman.

Has this theory been debucked yet ?

Satoshi made this post from his P2P account in 2014:

Although Am still learning about Bitcoin, but I have learned that Satoshi's intentions was not for people to know him but for the success of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is Decentralised Blockchain so there's no need to uncover Satoshi identity, We ought protect it. Just My opinion though.

You may not be aware of this, but nobody knows who Satoshi is and including the person who manages the forum I learnt. It's possible that someone does, but they don't want to share, but does it really matter whether we know who Satoshi is or the kind of colour person he is? Bitcoin is so decentralized that even if he decides to return today, he won't be able to do anything or claim to own it back, all he will be able to do is sell what he currently owns, which I doubt he will do for a profit when the price of bitcoin has reached $64k and never move a single sats, I doubt he will even do that in the next ten years.

You should be concerned about the guys who are benefiting from Satoshi's hard work, CZ is currently the richest person in the crypto space yet you didn't worry about him being worth $17.4 billion according to forbe that can do whatever they want rather than imaginary bitcoin that you know nothing about.
