@Marvell1. These larping bitcoin maximalist hate CZ who is the person who controlled the exchange that supervised bitcoin to pump to more than $10k heheheh. They thought that bitcoin pumped without the manipulators behind the exchanges similar to CZ? These larpers are stupid.

But I don't understand why they hate him so much, I remember when Binance got fined by SEC and when CZ went to jail, they were so happy and cheered Gary for doing the right thing. They support someone who is against the crypto industry, which is really confusing.
Are they jealous of his success, or do they think that when he goes to jail there will be no more centralized exchanges? It's naive to think that CZ going to jail or Binance disappearing will make bitcoin more decentralized.

I don't idolize him because it doesn't bring me more profit but his influence and talent cannot be denied. We cannot deny that he has contributed significantly to the success of cryptocurrencies so far.

@tabas. That was very much a certainty when CZ sacrificed himself to save Binance from being declared as something similar to a moneylaundering operation. It was also a very expensive sacrifice for CZ, $4 billion American dollars hehehehe.

Since CZ and Binance are on the topic, I think this is where I can post this news about him.
The new Binance CEO said that he's banned from getting back to the company. I was expecting him to be back after his release from prison.

[...]
According to a Sept. 5 Axios report, Binance CEO Richard Teng said CZ received a lifetime ban from managing or operating the exchange, not just three years, as many news outlets previously reported.

I am not speculating that the pump might occur because of CZ's influence. I am speculating this because this will certainly be used as a storyline to begin the pump hehehehe. This storyline will also not only be about the pump on bitcoin, I reckon they will create CZ memecoins very much similar to Trump memecoins and pump this 100x.

However, I also agree. This might be something similar to a movie that was very much hyped, but it has only brought disappointment heheheh.

CZ is not the most influential person in the market but there is no denying that his influence is not small. The success of Binance and BNB is closely tied to his name, and Binance remains one of the top exchanges in the market. So to say that he has no impact on the market is not entirely correct.

I also don't think the CZ news will be a strong catalyst to send us into a bull run but I agree with you that the market will be very excited and hyped the day he gets out of jail.

Bitcoin maximalists seem to hate him but the crypto community almost universally loves and respects him for what he has done and contributed to the crypto industry. I remember, there were tens of millions of people supporting, and praying...for him on X when the news of his 4-month imprisonment was announced. It can be said that his influence on the crypto industry is huge, IMO.

In any case, have we witnessed CZ spread fake news to promote Binance?
He did say some ridiculous things, like when he suggested that for the majority of people, it would be better to store their crypto on centralized exchanges rather than by themselves.  Tongue

He might be a hated villain in the bitcoin community, however, I speculate that his release from prison will bring the pump on bitcoin hehe.
I believe you might be overestimating his influence.

It is only fud created by Ray Youssef to promote his peer to peer exchange. This is a very childish method to advertise or promote a service and what is very headshaking is this is the owner who has done this. Similar to the name of his service, Noones, I reckon that no one should go to Ray Youssef's exchange because this owner is a fake news spreader heheheheh.
You must be blind when you are calling this a fud and fake news  Roll Eyes
You can literally see official israhell letter for confiscation of coins from binance, and you could check different source and see that ''someone'' withdrew -55995.58 BTC in last 30 days from Binance!
That is billions of dollars worth Bitcoin, and people are posting screenshots of blocked accounts all the time.
Something dirty is happening behind the scenes:

I don't use Noones, and the post made by Ray Youssef may not have been 100% accurate because they didn't block all but some accounts belonging to Palestinians, but at least his post drew attention to what Binance did and will act as a warning to people who have funds stored there.

CZ has said and done many things to promote Binance, when he was the ceo, and i don't see how his release will help pump the price of BTC.

I am not sure the source, but as far as I know, Binance didn't widely seize accounts. The seized accounts are related to crime or money laundering. That could happen to any other exchanges too. Binance is the top exchange, and likely someone wants to FUD it. This type of news discourages using centralised exchange. However we are aware, then funds shouldn't hold into a centralised exchange. Binance also seized my account for money laundering allegations, though later they released my funds, but still my account is restricted. So I am afraid to use centralised exchange anymore.

Maybe they didn't seize the funds of all Palestinians in their platform, but they seized funds of people from that region, so i don't think it is fud, yeah, it can happen in any centralized exchange because of their compliance with regulations, but this news is another reminder for people not to use Binance or any centralized exchange as a 'crypto bank', their funds should be stored only in their self custodial wallet, so i would not call it fud.

Stop using Binance

This is the best advice for everyone. If you do not like Binance despite the arguments on that it is secure and that your funds are safu, do not use it. However, I am very much certain that there are people in the forum who might be larping to hate centralized exchanges but they might be using them for peer to peer exchanges heheheh.

If you do not like Binance because you do not like CZ, do not use it. In any case, I have an account in Binance, however, I use only Kucoin and Bybit because I speculate that they have a conspiracy against Solana. They are making withdrawals for this more expensive and they say that Solana is presently always unstable. This is not true.

Stop using Binance, however, this sort of thing is not limited to Binance alone, it can happen to many centralized exchanges, they control your funds and they can confiscate it at anytime. If the government ask these exchanges to block and confiscate accounts of people they 'suspect', i'm afraid they are going to do it, though i wonder how these many terrorists would register on a centralized exchange and submit their personal data to them, doesn't make sense to me.

Last information I heard is that CZ was forced to sign a deal with DOJ before he went to jail and he is not in control of Binance exchange, and not allowed to talk about crypto anymore.
Ray Youssef received a list of at least 500 names of accounts with seized coins, but most of the people on that list were killed, one of them had around $100,000 in his account!
Wake up people and stop using Binance:

If these accounts are connected to terrorists, they have done the right thing, if not, then then they should return the money as this is a red flag to the community.
Those terrorists are pretty stupid if they are using centralized exchanges with mandatory KYC.  Wink

On CZ, I am not quite certain why he is a villain in this forum. He did not steal from anyone, the funds are safu, all of the withdrawals from Binance always go to our wallets unless they have found something in the account that broke the rules.
Because bitcointalk is one of the last places for bitcoin maxis who don't like those who push altcoins, advise people to store their bitcoin on centralized exchanges and myriad of other reasons.

@robelneo. I was not misleading. It was a question and if you read the post, I started this by telling everyone that the news update is not confirmed. The reason is the source of the announcement was someone who owned a peer to peer exchange who might have his own motives heheheh.

The title is quite misleading; its not all Palestinians but accounts that are associated with Hamas deemed by the US government as terrorrist and they think the money will be used for terrorist attacks.

When you're account and transactions are affiliated to known terrorist groups, you cannot transact on a centralized exchange, they have it in their terms that you cannot use their channel.

If these accounts are connected to terrorists, they have done the right thing, if not, then then they should return the money as this is a red flag to the community.

I honestly don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that this would've happened under CZ too. Despite the rumors in the past that Iranians could freely use the exchange in evasion of sanctions (and I think they were booted after that right?)
We don't have to guess whether it would have happened under CZ as well, as they have been doing that since 2021 when he was in full control. So its just a business as usual at Binance.

Israeli authorities have seized roughly 190 Binance accounts with alleged ties to terrorist groups such as Hamas and Daesh since 2021, Reuters reported Thursday.
The report cites never-before-published documents from Israel's National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing (NBCTF), a counter-terrorism division of the Israeli Defense Ministry.
According to those documents, the NBCTF confiscated in January an undisclosed amount of crypto from two accounts with alleged links to Daesh, a terrorist group based in Syria and Iraq. Other government records, dating as far back as 2021, allege more than 100 of the seized Binance accounts had ties to Hamas, an armed Palestinian group that has often clashed with the Israeli Defense Forces.

~snip~

In the past, CZ has made concessions and ceded control of some items when the governments around the world pressured Binance, so that he could keep running the business.

It isn't a mere possibility; it is a certainty, especially now that the US has got him by the throat. There is no doubt about it. CZ would have succumbed as fast as Teng. In the first place, Teng's decision must have come from CZ himself.

But there are precedents. CZ admitted sharing information with authorities, "proactively" working with law enforcers, and so on. Also, we have to remember that CZ issued the 10-point guideline when the US went a bit harsher against exchanges. That includes a call for exchanges to implement KYC. Furthermore, CZ locked Russian accounts, removed Russian banks, restricted their citizens from certain features, and so forth. This goes on. But the point is that CZ has been bending and swaying all the time in favor of his business. It isn't his cup of tea to stand his ground and resist authorities.

And if OP thinks "CZ did not launder money", then it makes the case stronger that he isn't somebody who can't be forced by the government because he pleaded guilty to the accusation.

Regardless, CZ doesn't impress me as "a person who cannot be forced by any government". On the contrary, CZ is that kind of man who prioritizes his business. And that means he is more than willing to seize funds, lock accounts, share personal details, and so on and so forth if those are what's needed to keep it running. CZ is all too willing to be restricted, to pay huge fines, to lick balls for the sake of his business.
