It will be another big bad news for everyone who involved with the crypto world. As we are seeing many good predictions for the month of July and August but if it will happen then the crypto market may again go down! At first facebook, Then google and now Bing-Yahoo! I think now the time has come when we need a different and own search engine which will be based on the blockchain.

I wonder if this will be another excuse for a sell off in cryptocurrencies. Nothing really special happened with the other add bans (facebook, twitter, google), so nothing will happen with this one again. I mean who uses bing anyway? I'm really curious to see if people learned anything from the past, or if another FUD will hit us.

This can of course affect ICOs, I wont argue with that, but it shouldn't affect bitcoin in any possible way.

sad how crypto is getting rejected by society
It is not a new thing, all they want to do is to stop scammers from advertising their platform to collect money and for that they are banning everything related to crypto, facebook and twitter did that and it does not mean that they are against bitcoin, they just want to protect their users by not falling for the scams.

99% or more of the ads were scams, shitcoins and shitty ICOs, so I can kinda understand why they did it.

and we can attribute scammers to the blame for Crypto-Related ads being banned, how any company would be happy to see scammers stealing millions of dollars from innocent people and the worst is that there were few cases where scammers were found and arrested? so the only one measure that could be implemented to contain the number of scam was this "ban Crypto-Related Ads"

I wish they would just spend more resources on weeding out all the bad actors instead of a blanket ban on crypto though.

I doubt it was possible to do this, the scammers are very intelligent, they daily improve their scam skills

I was on real estate website magicbricks.com and I searched for "panvel navi mumbai". Next day when I was on other websites, I was getting google ads for "magicbricks panvel properties". The same happened to me after my search on amazon.com for chairs, clothes etc..

Google tracking users & using it for adsense/google ads ??

Yes, they track you through cookies. If you have a Google account logged in, they also track all of your Google searches and pretty much all of your activity on any and all Google owned services. They do say they don't track any personally identifiable information though, but it's up to you if you believe that or not. The simplest way to avoid this tracking is to use incognito browsers and not log in on any Google service or Facebook.

But yeah, quit hating on Bing guys. Haven't you watched The Amazing Spider-man? Spider-man uses Bing, and he's supposed to be quite a genius lmao. Jokes aside, it doesn't matter to Bitcoin in the grand scheme of things. This move comes with positives, such as less exposure for scam ICOs and phishing wallets. I welcome it.

It's no wonder that one by one they started to ban cyrpto related ads. At one time this got banned and then they were just following others, I think.
Above all, not everything are bad news, there are also good news. And it says : most likely “temporary”. We'll see about that.

The banning of crypto-related Ads were just all fuds. Though there was an actual announcement but I can still see many crypto-related ads in facebook, twitter and even in google. Also it will be the same with bhing and all of it was just a show and no implementation. These companies made some serious announcement so they can look cool by saying that they are doing it to protect their users but the real situation is that they dont implement it since they do not want to lose profit.

What the corporate network around the globe making is simply the outcome of the fear. Corporate networks fear about the growth of bitcoin and the cryptocurrency network. Along with the same they fear about the scammers who might gain bad reputation for their venture. In this regard several leading service renders have come with the plan of banning crypto ads which will create an impact upon the growth.

I'm really not into cryptocurrency advertisements. If Bing banned cryptocurrency ads to prevent users to commit bad actions like scamming, wouldn't be good? As long as bitcoin itself is not banned, I think this is for good.

This is not the first time industry giants and big players have said this ind of thing yet it only strengthened the resolve of the crypto community.
Google, Facebook and others have done it with little or minimal impact to the crypto revolution. They are now inconsequential and so will bing be at the end of the road.

Thinking on the higher plane of existence.
Twitter announced its ban in March 2018. Two weeks before that, Google blocked crypto and ICO ads, saying “we’ve seen enough consumer harm or potential for consumer harm that it’s an area that we want to approach with extreme caution.”

And now, Bing is following the same path. Everyday, I read some positive as well as negative news regarding cryptocurrency. I don't know if I should get happy or sad.

In my opinion, as a bounty hunter, it should be an oppprtunity for us since ICOs will consider social media as big market for advertisement. The annihilation of these companies will give us more percentage of advertisement budget of ICOs.

Google is always tracking you, whether you like it or not; and it makes it even easier for them if you use Google Chrome. That's why I personally suggest using Mozilla Firefox instead. It also uses significantly lower RAM, too!

Agree with you.

Never heard of anyone who use bing for anything, btw.

Probably people who still use internet explorer on Windows XP and with hundreds of toolbars installed on their browser.   Undecided

if this doing for stopping scam then it very good news, only scam prevent crypto going in to masses

Well if you read the article that's precisely the reason why they banned cryptocurrency-related ads.

“Because cryptocurrency and related products are not regulated, we have found them to present a possible elevated risk to our users with the potential for bad actors to participate in predatory behaviors, or otherwise scam consumers.”

Of course they do. What do you think? They track you with everything you are using. Your PC, Laptop, Cellphone and even with TV's now. (since they are smart TV's Wink) I remember there was news about that samsung TV's had a trojan inside which were turning on their mic and record you without you knowing it.

Probably not possible for your IOS devices but you can use adblock+ublock+ghostery+some other script blocker plugin on your PC/Laptop to prevent these trackings.

I especially find ghostery useful but they probably sell your data to someone else too so unless someone else gives me a better idea, I can still recommend it.

Every social media account you have (facebook, twitter, instagram, linked in, tumblr... anything) is only a data gathering/storing/analysis device for the US government.

Everybody's spying on you.

A normal thing. And good too. Scammers must be stopped and crypto has to be regulated. Only that will enhance the trust in the system and bring in institutional investors.
