All this has been explained to us and questions on the subject have been answered. The poster of the "wall of shame" is a well known trouble maker. look up his history and see how many different coins he has done this to. Some people are just plain damaged, period.

Fair enough, could you explain this to me, or point me in the right direction where I can read up on it?

Edit: referring to this part obv: "All this has been explained to us and questions on the subject have been answered."

I am heavily invested in Ultracoin also  as I believe transaction speed will play a big part in the coming years.

I'm just curious as to why one would pick Ultracoin because of transaction speed. Many POS coins are almost instantaneous now. Darkcoin is about to rollout what will probably be the fastest by far of all currently as they can avail themselves of a 2-tier technology to support transaction speed.

Even Bitbay itself is probably about as fast as Ultracoin. What's the pull ?

Darkcoin "instant" transactions will take 20-30 seconds to confirm on the real network. This has been confirmed by the DRK dev himself.

lol people selling will regret it when smart contracts are out this week

Classic price supression. First put a FUD story out. Then you put in a big sell and loads of tiny sells. Then what normally happens is the buy wall receives scared dumpers and the manipulator picks up cheap coins. It should give people confidence that someone is desperately trying to accumulate this coin cheap.

1. What is the development schedule? More specifically: When will the functions be in place described in the OP?

2. What makes Bitbay different from Openbazar? Adding smart contracts to it?

The first question was answered multiple times already times already in this thread. I just asked for someone to make an FAQ.

The second question is like this, Open bazaar is not decentralized markets. They are pseudo centralized.

Most importantly, OB relies on arbiters. Arbiters don't work. This is why E-Bay and alibaba constantly deal with fraud with shipping. Arbiters cannot help the situation. How do they know who is lying? The same is of course true for juries and law.

Double deposit escrow is superior to any arbitration system because its immune to collusion, bad judgement, and middle men.

Also, OB doesnt have smart contracts and they dont have all the other Halo features, the economy, etc.

BitBay, Halo etc are smart contracting systems with an entire economy within. There are tons of plans in store. Please look through the thread for my schedule and I'm going to ask the community to put together an FAQ

Lastly, I was asked about difference from BlackHalo and basically BlackCoin is centered around NightTrader, Multipool, upwards price pressure cold staking and smart contracts
Bitbay is most about hedging, markets (although BlackHalo also has), hardware, and exotic contracts.

Lots more is in store for both projects so just hang tight.
How is OB pseudo centralized?

#1. We recently made a successful transition into POS 2.0 and now we are moving forward with completion of our Smart Contract wallet demo. We will release a public demo version first to allow the community to play around with the new features while we conduct Quality Assurance testing in the background. Once we are 100% satisfied and we are confident that all major bugs are squashed, there will be an official QT wallet update with the features from the demo release implemented. After that, our lead developer (David) and his team will be completely focused on bringing forth BAY's main feature - our Decentralized Marketplace. The first version of our marketplace is scheduled to release within the first few months of 2015 (January / February) but there will be plenty of development progress updates (Videos / Pictures) along the way.

#2. Yes, one of the key factors of success versus OpenBazaar is the fact that we will be utilizing smart contracts for p2p transactions. On top of that, we are making everything completely transparent on our own blockchain, thus ensuring that the BAY market it totally decentralized. Our view of what it takes to make a successful decentralized marketplace will be outlined in the upcoming whitepaper. These questions are being compiled and answered with more detail and clarity in our upcoming FAQ which is currently being finalized.

Did the price really drop 15% and the vol drop like a lead ballon on that groundless FUD? My only problem as an investor is I tend to go all in once I find something that I believe is a real opportunity. Sadly that means I don't have any BTC to buy more. I think I will keep some BTC back from now on to buy on stupid falls!

its transaction speeds are 6 seconds and confirmed in 30 seconds. At the time of investment it was by far the fastest crypto. It still is as far as I know the quickest. I don't really want to get involved in a big discussion involving other currencies. This is the bitbay thread.

Also, speed can always be changed once more secure Blockchain tech is made.

1. What is the development schedule? More specifically: When will the functions be in place described in the OP?

Wallet with integrated smart contracts this week, decentralized marketplace in January. Hedging & Pegging functions during the following months.

2. What makes Bitbay different from Openbazar? Adding smart contracts to it?

See first answer. Especially escrows. Read Halo website. Plus O B is community driven, not for profit driven. Thus the lack of progress.

This is my first post in this thread. I bought a lot of Bitbay in the IPO as I see it as becoming a game changer. I am heavily invested in Ultracoin also  as I believe transaction speed will play a big part in the coming years. I have seen this thread and community grow over the last few weeks and to get to over 100 pages in such a small time is a great achievement and shows just how big the community is. I think its safe to say we have all been burned with IPO's in the past but this certainly isn't a scam so please stop with all the questioning and credibility of the team.

I just wanted to say to all the people constantly going on about the Devs and the price to stop it. The Devs are the best in the business and have been very transparent compared to many other coins devs. Its still very early days in the Bitbay life. This is a long term investment and too many people are focused on the price already, which makes everyone question why you are actually involved in crypto. Are you interested in having a decentralized ecosystem were we can all trade 1 to 1 with each other in a safe and discreet way or are you just looking for a get rich quick scheme? because that's what it sounds like when I read many comments relating to the price. If you want to make a quick buck go to a casino. This is a long term investment which requires patience. Buy and hold. If you cant do that maybe forget about your coins and come back in 2 years. Adoption and development is the key, and with this team I think we have the best in crypto.

(●´ω´●) Nil de nihilo fit
I'm a newish account, and I do think it's pretty fud what the guy about the wall of shame posted.

But, being new to all this, I don't really understand very well how bitbay blackcoin and david all fit together (I know he works on both, but I don't understand how this is a good thing for BAY). Like his concerns about things going to blackcoin that are also implemented in bitbay etc, I share.

Some people are impossible to please, discontent is part of their personality. No matter you try or not, they will always have a reason to find fault. With such people it is very hard to find a contact. God forbid to live with them.

Allergic to false promises
Will the next wallet also be a QT wallet? Not that i am complaining, but I hope it will be with the use of one of the later versions of QT then the version 4.8.5 that is now being used.

don t touch my Bits
l ve staking since wallet launch however it stop staking with err (not staking because you don t have mature coins) what does it mean any help would be appreciated,Thanks n nice weekend.
regards

Hello neo,

I am not sure other than did you update wallet recently? if yes i am sure it will sort itself out in a short time maybe upto a day.

If you did not update wallet then back up your wallet and update see if that helps, If it does please update solved.

My mined coins need 60 confirms to mature to spend and i would guess stake (not sure about stake though) but that does not sound like your answer.
Sorry couldn’t be more help

hello Baghead
