It would make no sense to sell after buying a few days ago apart from rare situation where someone needs their BTC for something else. So 95% will be holding and no one has a reason to panic dump cause so far the information revealed including the other developer names etc has only strengthened the case for BitBay.

People should strive just like this ICO for a slow steady rise over the coming days and weeks with some slowly selling if they aren't in it for the long term. My point is I expect a steady rise, any dumping from the price of the ICO wouldn't make any sense. Hold and people who want to come into the market who missed for whatever reason the ICO will nudge the price up.

Guys I am excited as you are but....1$ a coin? Really?

Do you realize how flawed that is? That would mean everyone who bought a few BTC worth would be millionaires. Logistics fail?

Anyway, great innovative platform...but let's stop floating in the clouds and stay grounded here.

What do you think of the people who bought bitcoins for mere cents.

They are all millionaires now.

Only reason BTC is at the top is because there is too much money invested in it (advertising wise) and no coin has come closer to it. It gets too much public view. BitBay is here to change it...not saying it would replace BTC but it can easily become next big thing after BTC because it has great plan and now it has capital which most coins lack.

Another way to judge/measure the success will be to see how conservative the market activity is once opened. I believe the less initial trading, the better. HOLD and profit from a steady increase.

With that said, I do not see US$1/coin happening any time soon, but there is no reason why it can't achieve that level and higher if the utility potential is realized. In the short term, a realistic number would be US$0.0025 to US$0.0050/coin. If it gets to US$0.01 within the first 30-60 days, that would be great. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day and nothing industry changing is ever derived from a pump and dump. If you believe in this coin, nurture it and allow it do evolve in to something that builds intrinsic value and becomes resistant to market volatility.

The ICO was an obvious success and I am invested. If the development team considers adding some PR outlets within North America and Europe to focus on the markets outside the Asia Pacific region, that would be very proactive in building the brand. If you need any assistance, you know how to find me.  Wink

$1.2 million raised in ICO.

that's more than enough to make it reach further than $1. Most coins fail because they don't have enough capital to advertise it to big investors. This one is going to be huge if that money is well spent.

Why do you think it's impossible? Do you know anything about financial markets or investing or are you just thinking, "Hey, that must be too good to be true and I don't understand anything about finance so I will just randomly jump to conclusions without any basis in reality or mathematics."?

I'm going to bet on the latter, myself.

Also the bitbay presale raised more BTC than Viacoin's presale thats pretty big. Hopefully the bay devs put that money to good use. Viacoin is still my shit even though the price has dumped.

this is going to be crazy well done to all that got in in david we trust cant wait to prove all the naysayers that they were wrong about this 1

Me too.  The thing that so many people keep saying is "there's nothing behind this" - yet based on forum signatures alone, many of them hold coins that have gone through 3 devs just trying to get their wallet/blockchain issues sorted out?  There are even a couple coins that have no dev at all currently that have top 20 valuations... but an already proven multi-sig, smart-contract wallet platform is doomed to fail.

I would be surprised if the price didn't remain relatively stable... even if they just released the wallet functions and said "it's going to be another year before the marketplace goes live".  Or maybe I've just misunderstood all the incredible things (beyond exchanging for BTC and signing messages that is) you can do with XRP/LTC/DOGE and others currently worth 25X-150X as much as this coin.

I totally get where all the hate comes from, and no one with half a mind didn't understand the risk when buying ICO shares, but I still expect those looking for a crash to 100 sats are going to be seriously disappointed.

I know I for one saved a decent chunk of my BTC to scoop up another 2M or so on the off chance that does occur, but seriously a little perspective on the "huge" market valuation:

I've worked at a company that paid close to half this amount for a custom piece of software that did nothing but manage fleet logistics... and those were 1990 dollars not 2014 dollars...
A decent location fast-food franchise will cost more.
Businesses are commonly valued at 10X earnings... so in this case earnings of any more than 80K/year would represent the valuation (I'm pretty sure that less than the weekly sales in BTC on Overstock currently).

...and a final bit of 'food for thought' regarding price (not disparaging people holding these, just saying)...

PND (Pandacoin) has a higher cap.
FC2 (FuelCoin) & FTC (Feathercoin) have twice the market-cap currently.
STR (Stellar) is close to 10X more 'valuable' apparently.

I'll put a little wall up at 100 when trading starts just in case anyone wants to 'donate' to my personal benefit... but I seriously don't expect those orders to ever get filled. Wink
