can u guys help  me grade the    oak at bos yesterday game total as a  push   it got call at 7 inn,  i still have it graded as a loss, thanks mr biz

Good call Wolf. Due to the game being called in the 7th for rain the Oakland Boston game from yesterday has been scored a push for totals and spreads. Quite the break since it was 13-0! I've seen them go both ways though, so it's all good!

Good luck today!

i read the site rules   at pinnacle or what not   , totals  are push  , as for the runline

3.Rules for Run Line (handicap) and Alternate Run Line (alternate handicap) wagers are the same as those for baseball totals.

rl  are push , but  u   posted    spread is counts,  just for future ref  which one do we following, thanks again dude

Wolf, you are totally right. Run lines (handicaps, spreads) will be handled like totals in these cases. Thanks for pointing this out -- especially before it has come up. Great to clarify rules in advance!

I'm going to add a simple overview in the "Rules" section of the About page.

Thanks again!

What is your grading policy for a MLB game that is rained out? I would assume that if the game is called final after 6 innings or whatever the MLB requirement is to make a game official, that would be how it is graded. Am I correct on that? Postponement obviously should be graded a PUSH or NO ACTION.

We adhere to the betting rules from Pinnacle Sports: http://www.pinnaclesports.com/help/betting-rules

There is a lot of detail on their site, but basically it works like this:

  • If a game is rained out (or otherwise is not finished on the scheduled date) before 5 full innings have been played it is a push
  • If a game goes 5 full innings then is rained out spread and ML wagers are graded based on the score at the end of the last full inning, but Over Under bets are a push
  • If a game is rained out (or otherwise is not finished on the scheduled date) after 4.5 innings and the home team is winning it is scored for spread and ML

That's the basic gist, but there is more detail at the provided link.

Let us know if you have any more questions!

how come the  oak at redsox total  didnt get graded as a push, thanks for reading mr biz

Congrats to this weekends winners! Lots of big NBA bets came through.

Despite the big loss yesterday and Ginobili seeming real healthy, it looks like action is on the Lakers to cover vs the Spurs tomorrow. Line is trending towards the Lakers - "down" to 9 points, though the Heat are still 14 point favorites.

It is true that when a bettor rolls over all of his cumulative winnings to the next bet in an IF bet series, it's fundamentally identical to a parlay. There are some cases where a bettor will choose not to press his winnings all the way down the series; in this case, the IF bet does become a distinctive feature.

In my case last night, putting action on the heat and the thunder game would have reduced to a simple parlay. So, BitBook.biz, if parlays are coming soon, I applaud and look forward to it. Don't even bother with implementing IF bets until way further down the road. After parlays, teasers and pleasers can be implemented next, right?  Smiley
pleasers would be awesome for the football season.

Pleasers would definitely be cool for football. It seems mid-April is the official start of anticipating the NFL season!

While placing wagers on today's nba games, a feature I've used before on a different site came to mind: the IF bet. It allows a bettor to wager on an arbitrary number of events in a defined sequence such that each wager is only in action if the previous one wins. To illustrate with a practical example, I wish I had been able to bet on some event in the Bucks-Heat game, and if that bet had won, place a new bet for an event in the Rockets-Thunder game. This wouldn't have been a problem if the Bucks-Heat game ended well before the Rockets-Thunder game, but impossible to do without a so-called IF bet if I wanted to wager an amount that included the winnings from the earlier game.

It would also allow a bettor to define a sequence that isn't in chronological order. Like placing a wagering on Friday night for a game that is to occur on Sunday, and roll over those winnings to bet on a game that is to occur on Saturday.

There are two variations of the If bet. One where the sequence continues only if the previous action wins; and one where the sequence continues only if the previous action wins, pushes, or cancels.

I'm certain most sports bettors are aware of this particular feature. A bit more useful for NFL games. If BitBook.biz could offer that feature, it would add a pretty significant jewel to an impressive list of features that I already find to be quite appealing.

Keep up the good work, BitBook.biz!

Great suggestion. I believe these are also called "action" bets. I think our next big feature along these lines will be parlays. After we get parlays set up, this type of bet could be a great step. Thanks!

if bets are basically the same as a parlay. "Action points" is where you make a bet and if a team covers by 5 points, then you win 5 units. If it covers by 3, then you win 3 units. The same occurs when losing. Most books set up action points with a 10 point cap. The only problem is that if you bet 1 BTC action points with a 10 point cap then you would have to place the bet with 10 BTC plus the juice in case you lose by 10 or more.

A Both Teams To Score option would be great on soccer bets. Also some player bets like "player x to get a yellow card" "player x to score at any time" "player x to score first", but that'd be pretty damn time consuming to do for every team. I think it'd encourage more action in uneven match ups though. And in-play betting but that seems a bit tricky to pull off.

We'd love to work in more prop bets! We've been focused on getting the basics really tight, but soon hopefully we can build out more interesting bet options. Thanks!

hey bitbook can you make it where we can buy the lines for more points like for nba 5dimes does +16 if the game is +6 is that possible thanks bro!

That's definitely something we are considering. We just added variable spreads and over/unders. You can't buy 10 points, but you can buy a few points on most games.

Thanks for the suggestion, and good luck today. Some great NBA!

WHen I click on the Serie A tab the Milan-Juve game pops up for half a second and then disappears.

That's pretty strange. I'm not getting the same error, but I'll look into it. Thanks for the heads up!
