cryptx, I'm waiting for your answers to my questions in the previous post. Your lack of an answer to any of those valid questions is very worrying. Also your comparison to the competition's product doesn't hold water unless you can guarantee the hashrate your own unit delivers, and if you can't make that guarantee _and_ you won't compensate for less-than-stated performance then your unit is way less desirable than the BFSB one.

Simple:
  • do you guarantee that your 8-board "mining cluster" hashes at least at 512 Ghash/s?
  • do you add extra boards to the "mining cluster" to satisfy the 512 Gh/s stated goal?

edit: I see you're online, cryptx, but not answering questions. Why?

Putting this here too since it will be lost in the 144 pages burnin thread otherwise:

It makes more sense to keep buying H-boards from bitfurystrikesback (unless burnin can really get 80 GH/s out of these).

The cheapest option at Bitfurystrikesback is 6500€ for 400 GH/s

We offer 512 Gh/s for 5499€

Where is proof of this? Is that hash speed guaranteed? Do you include extra boards in the deal if the unit you deliver hashes at less than 512, like punin does?

edit: You don't offer that speed at your site, you offer 320 GH/s – 640 GH/s. Where is the guarantee that the unit hashes at 512 at least?

edit 2: If your unit actually hashes at only 320, the Bitfurystrikesback unit is _better_ than this deal. 320/400 = 0,8. 0,8 x 6500 = 5200.

edit 3: What is the warranty on these boards/units, and do we void the warranty if we overclock?

edit 4: Why the hell is that heatsink 10 euros extra on these boards? That probably is a mandatory item, and a basic heatsink costs what, 3 euros?

I decided to buy just one board to use up my discount.  I'm VAT registered, so I figure I should just about ROI if delivered before KNC ship.
I had planned to buy at least 4, if not more.

Actually after a bit of thinking i will order 1-2 boards with my discount too. I planned to buy at least 10 boards for the price stated by burnin, but not anymore.

Do note it's not a discount. It's money you've already given them... of which 30% they get to keep.

Yes but as i said it's minimal loss for me. I'm pretty sure i will ROI on the boards bought with the 70% of the money with instead of ROIing(is this possible?) on my full Avalon chip+boards order.

Yeah I know. May as well put it towards one board. Hopefully I will at least get some of my money back. Not holding out much hope. Look at what is happening to the difficulty.

Heh, I just noticed the boards don't even include a heatsink in the base price. That's +10 euros.

And the pictures on the site are of Bitburners, not of the new board.

More questions: what is the warranty on these boards? Does overclocking void the warranty? Why such a large spread on the advertised hashrate? If you've only managed 64 GHash/s _best_ from a board, why advertise a max of 80?

No wonder you didn't want to comment on the pricing _or_ timing questions I asked of you earlier. These prices are ridiculous. Moreover, I haven't even received notice of the site opening, so your promises of letting us earlier buyers get ahead of "the public" starts to sound hollow.

I already lost 474 euros to this 70% scheme, and now you want to charge exorbitant prices. Fucking shameless. The greed of people knows no bounds.

Let's do a comparison:

I'm sure I'm missing some, who is shipping now or shipping in October that is in the mid to 100GH hashing range?

1.  BB Fury:        40/60/80 GH    $1000    (shipping oct)
2.  BFL      :       50GH              $4,600   (hahahah)
3.  KNC     :       100GH             $2,000   (no longer available/shipping oct)
4.  Tarrahash:     18GH              $900     (sold out and are these shipping?)
5.  Erupter blade  10GH              $650     (shipping now)

too expensive

$1000 for 40-80 ghash isn't even worth risking.

Why is this overpriced? Megabigpower charges $8000 for an October delivery 400 GH/s kit. This looks like it will only be $5000-$6000 for the same thing.

It's similar in price to HashFast's 400GH/s miner, but that won't ship till the last week of October and they have yet to demonstrate that they have working hardware.

If they actually ship when promised, it may even be a first...

 Grin

Um, no.  The Bitfury group of companies have just shipped (most) of their August pre-orders.  They have set the new standard.

The "BFL never ending 2 weeks" and the "Avalon mine with 'em for 2 months before shipping" are in the past.  No ASIC manufacturer will survive in this new market if they suffer significant delays.

They'll sell loads... just no to you.  But the price per GH is very competitive with the current generation.

Delivery might start first week of Oct but we'll be getting the boards at the end no doubt.  You seriously need to rethink this, you just lost a whole heap of business on the price gouge. Boards were originally 470Euro & now 709. Greedy.

Bitfurystrikesback:
http://www.bitfurystrikesback.com/product/400gh-miner-october-2013/
16.25€/GH

ASIC HARDWARE:
https://www.asic-hardware.com/product/bitburner-fury-complete-system/
10,74€/GH

I am really disappointed by the price. I have requested a refund for my Avalon chips taking in consideration burnin said ~500 EUR per board. 700+ EUR per board is way too much and now i would have preferred to have my Avalon chips assembled. Also the fact that you have a very big margin for the hash rate makes me wanna shoot my leg for asking a refund. You could at least announce the price earlier. I wouldn't have cancelled. Thank you for this mess up.

Edit: Hey cryptx I know this price is for September delivery, but what about a cheaper price for mid-late October? Is it possible?

Second edit: cryptx please don't advertise the board up to 80Ghash is you haven't reached that speed on a single board (best demonstrated 64 Ghash/s) Just be fair and put 40-64 Ghash.

Price with VAT is a "no go" for me...

895.40 Euros...

Same here, that price is totally ridiculous.
I first thought marto gone a little crazy, but this here screws burnins good name to hell.

to be fair, I'm not in a VAT country & I still don't want to touch it. Mining should (should) be a fun hobby to support the network, not a risky investment.

What mining program actually supports these? CGminer?

yes, that is what they say.
•Host software: Cgminer

First all manufactures started to taking preorders and now they all adjust the prices with maximaze profit!
Since when board cost the same as chips? Why you are taking advantage of miners and have rational profit margin (max 20%, chips and parts excluded).
