Working on seeing what's going on with 2.0.0.5 because some people have issues, and some don't.

Hang on tight with us, in the meantime you can use 3 and 4 just fine.

It seems to be only people running linux for the masternode have problems.
Windows masternodes and windows controller wallets seem to be fine, judging from the replies on this thread

I can confirm 2.0.0.5 is crashing within 24 hours of starting it up on Windows 10 server VPS. It results in a C++ runtime error and crashes after about 24 hours of startup. I am using 2.0.0.5 as a controller as well, but I only run it for a few minutes a day to sync up and see any payouts, it's not running 24/7.

I wasnt sure what was going on, as something was causing my entire VPS to hang several times for the past week or so, forcing me to reboot it from the host's account website...not something I like to do as it risks corrupting blockchain databases, but i had no choice...suspecting the cause to be my newly installed Bitcloud wallet, i moved it to another Windows 10 VPS a couple of days ago...about 24 hours later i logged on and found it to have crashed with a C++ runtime error again., confirming my suspicions..this time it just crashed the Bitcloud wallet, instead of hanging the entire VPS, thank God.

I did notice that before the wallet crashed, its memory usage was steadily increasing, surpassing 1GB of RAM and continued rising until it crashed. Maybe some sort of memory leak.

Are those able to tun MN 2.0.0.5 using a cold/controller wallet combination, or just using a hotwallet? Maybe the bug lies in the cold/controller combination?

I'm new to Bitcloud MN, so i thought i was being smart starting out with 2.0.0.5 Smiley im glad to read in this thread that I'm not the only one (ie im not screwing something up Smiley) and that v2003 and 4 have no such issues, so I will be installing the older version when i get the chance.

To that end, can someone please post the link to windows version 2.0.0.4? On Github I can only see the 2.0.0.5 for windows. v4 and 3 have only the source code and linux versions, nothing for windows.

looking forward to the fix. Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for your  feedback.
I have uploaded version 2.0.0.4 under release tag 2.0.0.3.

Please try the version 2.0.0.6. from github.

since 3 days ago I don't gain my masternode earning. what happens with bitcloud

help please  Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

Is your masternode in the masternodes tab enabled?
It takes 2 days on average for a reward anyway. 3 days is unusual but not impossible.

Hi,

I'm running my Masternode on my Windows Server (VPS) and I'm planing to move it to my Linux VPS. I followed this guide (https://steemit.com/masternode/@koguma/bitcloud-masternode-for-dummies-be-a-crypto-pro) and I have on important question --> It is neccessary to run this Masternode as root? or is there any other possibility to run this Masternode as User?

Thank you!

I only ever tried as root but I believe it will work with simple user access too.
After all, a masternode is really just a full node wallet in the end and that can run on simple user in linux as well as windows.

Shouldn't matter though. Worst case scenario, you start the process as root

Thank you for your answer. I decided to rent a new Linux VPS just for Bitcloud masternode, so my masternode is running as root.

Where do you guys rent your vps nodes? Which is the best for paying with crypto?
Can you run many nodes on the same vps?

That is my case. I am running 2.0.0.4 linux masternode on VPS with Windows controller using 2.0.0.5.  Couldn't get 2.0.0.5 to work for linux masternode.  Didn't try Windows masternode + Windows controller both using 2.0.0.5.

Smell the glove.
Hi everyone,

I need answers to these:

- Is Bitcloud implementing anything else other than a payment/masternode system(roadmap?) and why aren't they transparent with the team? I want to know who's behind this project to invest further other than just MN/POS...

- Is there an updated guide to installing/setting up masternode to VPS Linux since a few weeks ago the wallet has been updated to the latest version(2.0.0.5)?

Thank you!

- The wallet update should not affect anything.

It has created problems with masternodes. I and other have not been able to successfully run the remote masternode with the latest version and had to revert to the previous one. Having the normal wallet on the latest version to control the masternode however still works fine

I can confirm that 2.0.0.5 isn't stable for masternodes.
I reverted back to 2.0.0.4.

i love Emerald (EMD)
Can someone show me a example of a bitcloud.conf with multiple masternodes? I only have one public address, but I thought it should be possible to run my second bitcloud masternode on a other port.

the question is if the other port will connect to the btdx network
