Not possible. really? a market value of 1 million USD for digital currency qhich is not even by means of support from the governments since Bitcoin is volatile. Aldo, if this thing will somehow be possible, there will surely be more years to come since its market value is just only 11 000 USD at this moment.

I don't believe with that prediction and it would not be possible. It will be more dangerous if the price of bitcoin will be like this because many scammer will be more knowledgeable and they preferred to scam rather than earning. So I believe that it wouldn't happen

It has a big chance that bitcoin will make it to the 1 million marks by 2020, but keep in mind that we are not the only player here there is also the government, hopefully bitcoin will make it worth a million and last long enough.

It is a fact that Bitcoin is increasing in value faster than expected by some investors predictions, but it's too soon to assume that Bitcoin will reach $500K or even $1Mill by 2020.

Reason being is because we do not know if Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency in general will still exists by that time. Bitcoin has gone through and will continue to go through many forks, also corrections happen from time to time.

If Bitcoin does reach that price, then the supply will be close to nothing and only the very few Millionaires will reap the benefits of Bitcoin.

It's too soon to make that kind of prediction.

It is true that Bitcoin is increasing very fast, but I am not sure whether his prediction will be right or not. It is the future of major businesses. Like dotcom bubble Bitcoin bubble will also take place once it reaches millions. It is not a million dollar industry but one day it will become a billion dollar industry.

It is literally not smart to think that the Bitcoin will reach 1$ Million in 2020. But being optimistic and having hope is not bad. Even if it doesn't reaches 1$ Million but it will cross 200 or even 300k mark. John McAfee might be too greedy to predict Bitcoin to be 1$ Million. However, it might reach that peak in 2025 or later.

Looking at the chart on how the price went up, it was just the end of this year it suddenly peaked. The price from previous years looks like a very slow rise.

Now on the speculation on how it will increase more within three years, it may not be surprising to reach that much.

End of December 2016, price of bitcoin was only around $960, End of 2017, it may be still around $10K. So in a span of 1 year, the price multiplied by 10. If the growth continues that trend, every year multiply by 10, it may reach $1M by 2020.

Maybe that was the model he used that is why he speculated that much.

I think it will reach around 100-200K by 2020, it might plateau its price or will go on slow rise as how it was in the previous years.

I would love to see him eat his dick, lol, but what more i love is that his prediciton is going to be true. That is what we love more right guys?
Although i really doubt bitcoin will reach 1 million usd in 3 years, but i really want it to be happen. With this prediction like this and many people support it, i guess it would give more benefit and positive things to bitcoin such as price increasing.
But still, in my opinion, it would reach 1 million usd in 10 years from now, which is 2027. That is logically more acceptable by my logic, tho.

one way: if you take all the money circulating worldwide, take some sensible percentage of it and divide it by 21 million (all the bitcoins there are) you get around a quote of 1 mln$ per BTC

Bottom up: 1 bitcoin can be divided to the eighth decimal place. It is called a satoshi. If 1 satoshi is valued to 1 cent, than 1bitcoin will be valued 1 mln $

As somebody on some other thread points out, there is less than 1% people worldwide who know about bitcoin. If you connect it with the price, which stands currently at 10 000, you have another calculation: if 100% people worldwide knew about bitcoin, it should stand at 1 million dollars, shouldn't it?

McAfee is a 70 year old drugged out bankrupt has-been. By 2020 Bitcoin will not be valued at 1 million USD. It’s only 2 years away... 30-40K is possibly reasonable.

I think that satoshi will be happy with your assumption on already his expectation on bitcoin price has been suceeded three years before. When bitcoin comes to market satoshi expects that time bitcoin to be touched 10k USD in 2020 but already we crossed that amount and now we expecting bitcoin to grow than now. As economic theory says every high level bumping product or share that will dip to cheap value. Fortunately bitcoin is decentralized currency as of now one is having control on it. So your fund invest on bitcoin will be always still it have the volatile nature.

That's totally absurd in my opinion and a quite insane to think and predict. 3 years won't be enough for Butcoin to have a market value as that much ,knowing that bitcoin is volatile so there are chances of its market value to fall. Surely, its market value will be more expensive in the future but a value of 1million for a currency is really expensive so I don't think it will happen.
