Bitcoin is growing altcoins to fall lower and lower. What is your opinion of what will happen until segwit?
Bitcoin will keep growing in some months to come! Outside Sigwit2x activation and splitting of bitcoin gold I have seen the current upwards movement as a sign that bitcoin has defeated most of it enemies this year as it has proved to the governments of China and russia that it can survive without them. Bitcoin has also proved to people like Jamie Dimon that it is not a fraud and because of this bitcoin is going to keep growing and fund will be flowing from both fiat and altcoins market into bitcoin.

At the current pace it can reach 10k very soon.
of course as many of you said it s because of fork and i think until fork price will go higher. you can buy now 10 btc ( yes price is so high but you know end of year for sure will be higher ) and after fork you get btc gold. just think even btc gold rice will be 700$ , that means you got 7000$ for do nothing except buying 10 btc and you do this in one week. that s why i think not just small investor but really big investor will buy more and more. i remember when btc last month was around 3000$ one guy from US has bought 21.000 btc . he just made 42.000 $ for just buying btc. china ban is a big thing yes but will not stop btc. so keep calm and buy more btc 
As of now the price of bitcoin is 5900 dollars and im happy for that because bitcoin already reach 6000 dollars last 12 hours ago and I hope the price will increase more so those people have a lot of bitcoin in their wallet can earn a loy of profit. Bitcoin value had increasing very fast I think this we can see now that bitcoin price was reach the $6070 and it's not possible that bitcoin value were reach the $7000 sooner or later. Their value now had seems in good condition, I was not shocked if one day when I open my eyes and their value were close to $10000Sure it will reach to 10000$ even after exchanges ban in China. This is going to be a good lesson to them because many experts have analyse that Bitcoin will reach more than 10000$ in coming days.
Wow 6k bitcoin in my lifetime, crazy. Until segwit leading up to it will probably increase yet but I think there will be a good dip and correction after the fact. Or I sincerely hope so because I am leveraged

If you got altcoins then you got no other choice but to hold, I know it is hard but the same happened to those that held bitcoin a few months ago, it was not long ago that ETH needed a few billion to reach bitcoin and many predicted ETH was going to become the number one coin, at that point it would have been a mistake to sell your bitcoin for altcoins and now those that held are getting their profits, now you need to do the same. I think a crash is inevitable after BTC gold next week, probably not a major one though and then the price will rise up to and following segwit2x.
Agreed, I think people are all looking for a nice airdrop, especially common people who do not understand all the details of all different altcoins out there. Since after all the panic in the fork that created Bcash what people learned was those who had bitcoin gained free money, and now a lot of more people want that.
Different than before August where uncertainty made the market drop to 1800´s now people know what to expect, so they got greedy.

I agree. People forget that the price is rising due to high demand and that's because of people hopping for easy profits from the "forked coin".
I try to be realist and be ready for anything. "Forked coin" might be worthless and that BTC might crash as the speculators will sell BTC quickly after fork to invest in to something else. I did buy some BTC, but I'm not putting all eggs in one basket, you never know and don't forget this market is quite volatile, especially at time of forks!

The bitcoin and the altcoins are really having good inverse trading relationship and if you can see, bitcoins price will crossed $6050 mark with heavy strength and volume . This will prove that it has enough strength to move on to the $7000 and $8000 price levels. But till segwit i am expecting to cross $7500 because the bullish power is increasing day after day and the traders are demanding more making bitcoins more volatile in nature. I am planning to buy it for short term and hold also i take few day trades, so that i can benefit from those daily fluctuations.
I think this is the right time for people to switch to USDT because the price of Bitcoin is really high now and surely after Bitcoin setwit2x Bitcoin prices will continuously decrease and will increase sharply after that time.
Until segwit2x happens I expect bitcoin will rise until the bitcoin gold fork and then fall for a week or two before beginning to rise again in anticipation of segwit2x, in this time I expect alt-coins to recover slightly and then stablilise.
We can expect on bitcoin to continue to rise after the segwit. But ofcourse with the altcoin it will recover because it is normal scenario in altcoin the dump and pump case. Its pointless to correlate altcoins price and btc price right now because it's price movements now is just based on coin's usability or demand and not just based on rising and falling btc price. Before segwit happens, I think altcoins would somehow recover a little from it's falling price, some altcoins might even go X10 depending on the news in the next coming weeks. Bitcoin on the other hand, will continue rising until 6100$ I think. This is a reachable target IMO since it is near current price. 
If the year finish with btc at $7000 then i think next year will be the $20,000 that has been spoken of as rumours.
