I think that soon btc will be across the world as it is the best coin ever and it will be able to occupy new positions. I m sure that it will be able to substitute all other coins in the nearest future
And this once again proves that bitcoin is unlimited. It really is suitable as a use as a global cryptocurrency, so we should do our best to develop it and use as much as possible on the territory of your country, if it is allowed by your government.

No, that kml no longer gets updated.
Rowit stopped updating mid-July.
There probably are some traders collecting this info but nobody is sharing it as far as I know.
Here's one reason why:

Sorry there's not much to go on to quantify if though.
What might be useful is to watch the growth of this metric:

Going by the population map, it looks like our best bet for sustained growth is a marketing push in India, as they already have a bitcoin presence, but it's not nearly comparable to their population.
why I can never find my IP 217.139.64.173
The methods that are used to collect the data aren't described fully. The wiki article does specify that "It is currently still unknown how reliable this information is."

There have been some developments including "split channel" for the IRC and DNSSeed, so it is possible the data collection method initially used is incompatible with the changes.
Is it working now or just another backup file ? I mean is it live ?

Hey, could you make another release taking samples for three days of any node that showed up in the official kml? I would really appreciate it.
I managed to get it to work by dowloading the KML directly and using the desktop google earth program, dam its lagging like crazy, did you get all these IP's off of the IRC?
And yes i did find my IP, however its marked at the front of my neighborhood instead of where i really am. Looks like there are more Bitcoiners around here than i thought.

EDIT: Does anyone know any other map provider which reads from a KML file? Looks like the file is up, just downloaded it, and google doesn't want to load it. Maybe it is too big?
Ok, looks like it is a file size limitation. Because XML is so verbose, the only way I could get all markers to appear was to remove some of the data items.
I removed the

So now the file loads, but no longer do we have the red / green indicators:

Look how much that map has filled out over the past few weeks ... very impressive!
