For me, my country seems accepting bitcoin and slowly adopting it because some store is accepting cryptocurrency, and there many companies are now creating their own digital currency. Also, there is some establishment/ company to accept bitcoin as a payment, and I have read & heard that there are some schools accepting bitcoin and another cryptocurrency as a payment. I think in the acceptance of bitcoin, and another cryptocurrency in my country will be well-known. Smiley

It is possible to spot people using tor/vpn, what its not possible for them to know is what it was being used for. Tor has some levels of obfuscation and it can be made to look a bit like regular web traffic, not too sure about vpn.
If your btc address is not publicly known then it is hard to trace the btc owner.
But anyway there are the ways to track it and deanonymize owner. Due to it i like privacy coins much more

In my country, Nigeria, there isn't much of an adoption at the moment. There are just a few shops trying to accept payments in Bitcoin. However, there are various seminars and lecturers going on about Bitcoin with private individuals trying to raise awareness on this. The government is nonchalant about cryptocurrency. I guess this is even to the advantage of those of us who are involved in cryptocurrency because government being aware and stepping in means new legislation coming in and this can hamper the growth for us here.

I do not know exactly how many people have adopted Bitcoin in my country. In Indonesia we have a fairly large crypto Exchanger namely Indodax. In the Indodax website there are already around 1.7 million people who register. You can check here https://indodax.com/en . This number is quite large increase from year to year.

I remember when registering for Indodax, which used to be called VIPbitcoin in 2014, there were only about hundreds of users. Now Indodax users in our country have reached 1.7 million, which indicates the enthusiasm of Indonesian citizens.

That is the information for just one exchange. In total there may be 5 to 10 million Bitcoin users in Indonesia, including those who are not registered to the exchanges. All around the world, the Bitcoin user base has expanded during 2018-19. Here in India, there are an estimated 10 to 20 million users despite the extremely hostile stance by the government.

Serbia is a little country in South Europe. I think adoption in my country does not exist, there is nothing about that in news. What I saw in news related with bitcoin is some negative shit about some big scams in crypto, usually it`s a copy-paste report taken from some global news station.
In my country changes are slow. Majority of people still don`t know about bitcoin existence, so it`s naturally for me to believe that maybe my country will be far behind advanced countries again. When others adopt it and make infrastructure for that, my country will start thinking about adoption.

This is for members outside of the United States of America since things going in that country are all on the news but for those countries who are usually outside the radar of the mainstream media, I would like to get updates which can be good and bad, favorable and unfavorable with bitcoin. Here in my country, we have no problem with the government as regulatory bodies are not hindering the growth of cryptocurrency and in fact we have many more exchanges already approved and they can start doing business in 2020. Reading the news in other countries, I am feeling lucky to be a resident here.

What about in your own native land...how's bitcoin adoption been going on? Is there a bright future in there or maybe is it facing a gloomy and cloudy prospect? Let's talk...
Until now, cryptocurrency (bitcoin or altcoin) in my country is still illegal but the government does not prohibit all transactions in any form. And also, although it's still illegal in my country, there are now around 3 or 4 exchanges with fiat money that even the government already knows about cryptocurrency and that exchange. And in my personal opinion, I'm sure the government in my country will legalize cryptocurrency in a few years because a few months ago the president of my country gave a speech for all people in my country to learn and know more about cryptocurrency which indicates that the government has begun to open mind related cryptocurrency.

Are you from United States?

I think it's hard to stop the growth of Bitcoin. The government can do anything they want but they can not stop people using it. How are they gonna trace someone who will use TOR/VPN.

I think there are 5 to 7 countries who are publicly unfortunate to get the benefit of cryptocurrency. Sooner or later they will change their mind.

It is possible to spot people using tor/vpn, what its not possible for them to know is what it was being used for. Tor has some levels of obfuscation and it can be made to look a bit like regular web traffic, not too sure about vpn.

Still waiting for adoption but lucky that bitcoin and other cryptocurrency wasn’t banned till now,so we can enjoy and profit from trading and even buying is easy as 123 .because our local wallets are available if you will only provide KYC.our President is silent about crypto issues and our governments only give warning about the scamming and hacking but all in all the support is there and in 2020 there are exchangers that will be accepted by our government so this means another good news for cryptocurrency community

Here in India, two months back there were a lot of FUD about the authorities introducing a law, which makes possession or mining of cryptocurrency a criminal offense (punishable by 10 years in prison). But this so called "draft law" was never brought before the parliament and the individual who drafted this bill (Subhash Chandra Garg) was fired recently for incompetence.

Based on what I had observed here in my country about bitcoin, it is well accepted because we have an exchange here that has been regulated and approved such as coins.ph, Abra, Rebbitano and Rebit.ph, and some of the merchants here in civilized place bitcoin was being accepted as mode of payment too.

Here in our country, there is no strict policy yet about bitcoin. The government only gives warning and precaution to those people who wants to invest in bitcoin since there are incidents using bitcoin in drugs and other illegal transactions.

The number of people who is starting to learn about blockchain and cryptocurrency here are also increasing. It may result on the government implementing laws on bitcoin in the future because of the more people being involve but it will take more time for it to happen. So we are currently enjoying the convenience in using it.

In my country Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general are still not defined. There is no formal regulation about it from central bank, tax authorities or similar so users often get confused especially when it comes to taxation.
At certain moment of time many people started to use Bitcoin and I thought we will get rather large community but that didn't happen and we still depend on some enthusiasts.
