these things are usually so small and are only limited to some car dealerships not the big companies and not on bigger scale that can matter. and most of them are doing it as a way of promoting their business and make more money by attracting more people to their business. which is why usually these things don't have that much of effect on bitcoin or its adoption.

I was amazed to read that article, and he can gather 40 car dealerships that accept crypto payments so yes, cryptocurrency spreading well in the automotive industry. Is this news accountable? In terms of profits for dealers, it is not very attractive unless they want to hold bitcoin for a long time. It was bold speculation, but when many automotive companies began to adopt bitcoin or altcoin it meant that they already had very mature calculations.

I agree with avikz that allowing people to use Bitcoin for purchases is great, but to really understand how the adoption is going we need to see how much this crypto is actually used. I could not find any statistics on car purchases with Bitcoin.
Bitcoin tends to have rather significant transaction fees if we talk about small everyday purchases. Buying a chewing gum and paying the same price for a transaction is just unfair. Moreover, the time of processing transactions makes Bitcoin not very suitable for real-life usage. At the same time, I think it's perfect for purchases of expensive products like cars and houses, so it's natural to see signs of adoption in these areas.

A lot of the high end dealers with brands like Lamborghini and Ferrari are the ones accepting crypto. It makes sense to go after the wealthy demographic who are more likely to be crypto holders. The dealers accepting crypto will end up doing more business than the ones that don't obviously. Customers may prefer buying with crypto so they don't have to pay taxes by cashing out also.

It is well known that bitcoin adoption is increasing day by day as more people are getting to know about bitcoin from various sources.
Bitcoin has been famous right from the beginning but the year 2017 was remarkable for bitcoin as it grew tremendously in that year.
It's good to know that bitcoin adoption is increasing and eventually the adoption is going to spread worldwide.

Right now we can massive adoption in all of industry especially in automotive and business industry. I guess some automotive companies already accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. maybe they are now investing to cryptocurrency because if its not the risk is too big, imagine if a single person buys a car and they send a bitcoin after that the price will move. It is a good sign that they are looking forward for the used of cryptocurrency that is why they are open in that situation.

On one hand, this is good PR for Bitcoin, it shows the non-believers and whatnot that bitcoin can function very well as form of payment. This will have a snowball effect in the long run, it's a matter of time before other industries begin to adopt bitcoin. On the other hand, I don't think there's a high demand for purchasing cars with btc, but every bit of positive news is welcomed, especially if it's about adoption.

Bitcoin is spreading everywhere, not only in the automotive industry. A lot of companies have added bitcoin as a payment method and Samsung has even incorporated bitcoin into one of their products.
Now the problem is, are people really using bitcoin to buy from those companies? If you would like to buy a car for example and you have fiat money would you exchange that for bitcoin and use it to buy the car so this way you can help the market? It's easy for companies to accept bitcoin but it's useless if people do not actually use it.
