As of this moment in time 2018 is a very crucial time for bitcoin I must say. It is true that we have been tested hard on how much we really want to hold on our faith that bitcoin is something worthy of doing. I think it is too early to tell that bitcoin is worthless because we keep comparing it to 2017’s value. 2017 is the golden year for bitcoin but maybe who knows by the end of this year it will surpass last years value?
I think 2018 isn't really a bad year for the bitcoin as per bitcoin still has a huge price compared to the last year.. people of crypto just expected to much for this year because of the huge pump in in end of 2017.. but for the hodlers, I suggest you to hold tight with your coins because bitcoin is really unpredictable it may reach $20k again or half of that. 2018 isn't over yet, we still have 6 months for 2018. Bitcoin is full of surprises yah know? 
There's already lot of opinion or prediction for bitcoin. Either negative or positive. But we know that BTC is really unpredictable. No one knows if when it will go up or go down. But still im hoping or let me say i believe that btc will definitely rise up before the year ends.

Be positive mate I think in 2018 we will surely see bitcoin at highest price, because now gradually it has started to rise, more companies and more people are buying bitcoin at cheap price to hold for long, same as you I want to see bitcoin more famous, more high and more popular so that price will pump too high at the end of 2018; just hope for the best.Realistically, I would say that 2018 is really a difficult and everyone is really struggling. I think for most Bitcoin holders, this is a big test and I don't know how long they(we) can hold on bitcoin and not get tempted to offload specially those who are holding when we bought bitcoin early 2017 when the price is still less than $1000. Although I'm sure most of them offload some of their stash during the height of the madness in December, there are still we chooses to hold still despite seeing no end at this bear market. But just like what you said, let's stay positive because historically, bitcoin had shown that it can bounce back again, so for holders, let continue to do so and really hope for the best up to the end of the year.

This is not a collapse it is a crash, while the words may seem similar and may not be relevant to some to me there is a big difference, there are crashes happening all over the world right now, most of the time the crashes include individual stocks and not a whole market but a crash is a temporary event from which we eventually recover, a collapse it is a completely different event on scale from which there is no return so bitcoin will only collapse if it did not had any value. Bitcoin is very low right now, but it would pick up eventually and become higher than it is now, we just have to let the market to adjust to those that who are dumpers right now and those who are HODLers would reap alot of benefits.

Wow, I really like your attitude mate and I do hope that 2019 will be different. However, we are still in 2018 and we need to face it and even embrace the current situation. Its not on our favour with all the regulations and government bans coming our way, but hey. If you are not happy, then by all means anyone can get out right now. But just remember that you will miss that opportunity to profit one bitcoin took off again. So accept the fact that 2018 is not a good year, but we can all bounce back and make a break out run sooner.

We never know what will happen to bitcoin in the last 2 quarters of 2018 but for me bitcoin will last like fiat because bitcoin now is already in circulation and a mode for payment and investment in ICOs for project development.
2018 has really been terrible for Crypto newbies, especially those of us that came into it during the boom late last year. I'm still positive it'll bounce back tho, just might not get to that ATH before the year ends
In my opinion, it is difficult to assess BTC. And now it's June, there's still a long way to go in 2018. At that time we could understand the level of growth, hopefully the positive things that the market brings.
