Altcoin will move down if bitcoin increases its price. But don't worry because altcoin will start green when bitcoin is stable at the highest price. then this is the chance for altcoin to move up if bitcoin is sideaway or stable. So I thought if bitcoin had experienced the highest price and remained there and only had a slight correction to return to the highest frame, then the chance pump for altcoin could not be avoided anymore

It is seen that the altcoins are co-related to the price of Bitcoin if not fully but representing the direction of the movement in any way. So, from here if the price of Bitcoin now go down then the altcoins will go down severely. Maybe some of the coin vanished from the market.
That's the reality, altcoins are going down severely.
When bitcoin hit $3K+, the top altcoins market also dropped at average of 10 times lower from their all time high, especially ETH where we witnessed it was trading below $100 usd before it slowly recovers but that's from $1300 to its current price now of only $172.
Yes, the market of altcoins moved down when the bitcoin market was close around $3000. Later by April the price of bitcoin started to increase, but there is no big growth with altcoins. Majority of the altcoins were selling low, other than few altcoins like Binance Coin marked its ath as more IEO got launched pairing with BNB. Now too the altcoins were down, possibly the market growth will gets ignited only after bitcoin crossing $12K.

I would say to remember that the relationship between BTC and altcoins is not always symbiotic. There are time where money is flooding into BTC and the alts are bleeding because the money is being taken out of alts to go into BTC. I just see an influx of money to both sides which is causing everything to be positive.

But i don't think cryptocurrency is mature enough to decouple itself from Bitcoin. When the price of BTC goes down people get scared, they start selling their altcoins too. It's a combination of fear plus people trying to be a step ahead and sell high and rebuy at the bottom. Unlike oil most of these coins have don't have a real world necessity so their price won't behave like oil.

Was this not just in another thread?  I just got finished writing this post:

No, altcoins won't be able to recover independently of bitcoin if bitcoin were to crash to $5000 (or even lower).  They're all priced in bitcoin, so they're going to follow whatever it does.  I also have the feeling that if bitcoin crashes, altcoins will be hit even harder because people will start to lose confidence in them and will likely sell in a panic.  It's happened before and can happen again.

All of that aside, I don't think bitcoin is headed much lower, tho obviously I cannot say this with certainty.  It seems to be holding up pretty well right now and is just trading in a narrow range.  Eventually when it forms a trend I think it'll go higher rather than lower...but we'll see about that.  It could be months before that happens.

And it's true.  I don't have high hopes for alts if bitcoin starts to go down significantly.  On the other hand, if alts start to go down the toilet, it would probably be a great time to start buying them.  They have a tendency to recover after crashes and are more resilient than one might think.

The value of alts if bitcoin retraces, of course it will be a big affect in cryptocurrency sphere. It will pull down each value because bitcoin is the king of all coins. The dominance of this coin will leds to a mass buying of everybody in crypto because they are already proven as real coin.

based on my simple research, when bitcoin goes down then alt goes down too. alt is so weak
there is just a few alt that can goes up, therefore many alts are dump
alt dominance is so small too, just 32% and bitcoin 68%
it is certain if bitcoin decreases all coins will also decrease because we know that bitcoin is a cryptocurrency which is a guideline for investors if bitcoin decreases altitude will certainly decrease because investors will also be affected by the falling bitcoin currency even though the systems of the two coins are not interrelated maybe because of the reduced confidence with altcoin that we invest

Per market record performance mostly every Bitcoin price movement will create a domino effect to Altcoins like if Bitcoin price will fall it will make the Altcoins price to dump too and if the Bitcoin will soar high then most of the Altcoins will rising up too therefore the whole crypto market performance will always depend on Bitcoin movement

You can tell why, here's a simple explanation.

BTC dominant rate is 66.5%
Altcoins total dominant rate is 33.4%

Therefore it's normal that altcoins will just follow whatever the movement of BTC, and its really bad if the market continues to struggle as BTC's dominance rate will rise while altcoins will continue to have significant dumps.
It seems the market dominance of bitcoin has already reached the top and since then it has been going down, the market dominance is now at 65.8% and while it is still quite high we will have to see how the market begins to move, if it stays there for some time then most likely the price will not move in a long time but if it keeps drooping we could begin to see a change in the way investors look at alts and we could see a small recovery or why not an altcoin season.

Altcoins always follow the Bitcoin price movements. However, we must note the difference between the movements of the entire market and the successes of individual projects. Even when the whole market is in a downward trend, investors not only cash out, but also look for investment and profit opportunities. If a project develops and achieves some success, its price often increases very quickly, regardless of what happens with the price of Bitcoin and other altcoins.

if bitcoin rises now, all altcoins will fall. because until now I see when bitcoin pumps, altcoin falls, when bitcoin falls, altcoin also falls. and when Bitcoin is stable, that's when altcoin gets up and rises high. that's what I analyzed after the increase from 2016 to the present. and very different in 2014-2015.
Trends may change from time to time, when bitcoin rises we can expect that altcoins will drop, due to the reason that people are riding with the pump of BTC and there's a possible FOMO that is going to happen, however, that dump will not last if BTC will continue to go with its trend and that's what we witness int he past.. what we really need now is to have btc pump maybe at $15k or more so people will be convince that the recovery is real and btc might break to a new high, that's where the new money will fall for altcoins also.

Bitcoin rules the market. Alt coins can not go anywhere if BTC not give permission to them.

Last 2-3 months we saw how BTC dominated the alt market. BTC up alt coins down, BTC down alt coins down, even BTC stable and alt coins down.

New investors and got money needed at crypto market for alt coins growing independent from BTC.

Bitcoin has absolute dominance in this market and any altcoin must follow Bitcoin's volatility. This market is only Bitcoin can help you make good profits because this is the only coin that has a great influence on all investors. I'm not worried when Altcoin declines but when Bitcoin decreases it will make things more difficult. Now Bitcoin is very cheap and if you choose to invest for the future, buy as soon as possible.
I agree with you . According to the latest analysis, investors tend to hold more Bitcoin during this time and the price of $8000 is a very good opportunity to hold for everyone. Although I don't know what the market will be like in the near future but Bitcoin is still the most worthy coin to invest now. I personally do not like investing in Altcoin because the current risk is very high and my psychology is unstable so it will be very difficult to make a profit.

You are really right that Altcoins are now in absolute submission to Bitcoin. And I think that the situation has not been identified for a long time. Bitcoin will probably always dominate the market.

Current market is a bit still volatile. Until bitcoin settles at a price and then the established altcoins may follow the suit.

Yes. In order to see altcoin market blossoming once again, Bitcoin has to hold position. Once BTC rose by like 20-30% and then hold a position and start moving sideaways, we will see alts returning in green zone again.

It's usual. Whenever bitcoin retraces alts go rekt because BTC is the king and people think that market is going down so they lose confidence in alts too therefore taking out money from the alts this can be even bad when we are in long term bearish phase.

That's happened because everyone moving their assets into bitcoin, and also if bitcoin is up the altcoins is not really down because it's down because it's btc pair. Actually the altcoins up also in fiat.
