Does anybody know if Hal is still around?  My condolences if he's no longer with us but I do hope he still is.

The last report I saw was in July, when his communication ability had dropped to zero. No updates since then.

You can check Fran's twitter at https://twitter.com/franfinney for updates, I guess we'll hear if he passes Sad

Truly an inspiring story:
We need to make the most out of every day, since we never know when our health might no longer be good.

Amen to that.

Looks like Hal last visited on April 10 2014, since it's been a couple of months I can only assume he won't be able to visit anymore.

. hope he is on holidays enjoying his lovely son ..

I hope he is doing well the last I read about him was in my interview with Hal Finney at the time when the reporter was researching the origins of Bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto.

Stay strong Hal with a twinkle in your eye.

I just discovered this post and so I appreciate how late I am commenting.

However, what a diamond in the rough this post is, and what an inspiration Hal is.

Thank you for all that you have done for all of us. If some day I can look back on my life and confidently believe that I have made one tenth of the contributions you have, I will die a happy man.

I hope life is still good for you a year or so after you originally created this thread.

The Great Hal Finney,

Firstly thanks for your Atari games, I from 70's so you made my childhood very happy ...

Can I ask a personal question about your ALS ? ... how is your eye movement  ? I'm not a neuroscientist just wondering how fast you can track Floaters ..

please fell free to delete my post whenever you wish ...
